id911: From his antecedents, Buhari was and would forever be a bad product. He is tribalistic, does not take into consideration the diverse nature of our country and his bigotry is unquantifiable. He is an economic illiterate; ethnically and religiously intolerable. Atiku is different
Atiku is tested and trusted, has experience in the area of job creation. With him as President, our economy will be revamped and those out of jobs reabsorbed to give their lives a meaning!
Thinking of 2019? Think Atiku!
Let's ATIKULATE for a brighter tomorrow How is Atiku different? How can you convince us that Mr. Atiku will not surround himself with the worst of cabals like the current derelict presidency we have. Does running 'successful' business insulate one from bigotry? Not that I'm calling Atiku a bigot, cos I'm yet to read a single quote of bigotry associated with him unlike the current bigot we have as president. Hmmn, I'm not sold on Atiku. Is there anyone else? |

I'm yet to see what there is to Atikulate about. Though we currently have the worst government/presidency ever in power, surely we should be replacing them with dynamic and visionary leadership, not this old and tired politician whose interest is power for sake of it. |

I will rather hire a foreigner to run the business for me. |

deomelllo: They hate Hausa people so much, they call them almajiri illiterates, they say Hausa people have born to rule mentality, Kanu their ipob general promised to kill every Hausa Fulani, but fast forward to today, their hero and savior are another Hausa Fulani with their so-called born to rule mentality.
Fact is, they have zero self-respect, zero self worth, zero convictions, zero principles and absolutely zero sense of direction or purpose.
They'ii dine with the devil as long as the devil is the enemy of their percieved enemy because this is is how they are wired and communally programmed to think and function. No sane and rational method or strategy, they just go through life based on hatered, needless grudge and animosity which other people know about them and exploit easily, just like Atiku is doing right. We don't hate Hausa. Callng someone almajiri doesn't mean you hate them. It's just like calling yoruba Afonja and conehead. It's doesn't mean we hate them. There are aspect of their behaviour we may not like, but hate in far fetched. Igbos have voted Yoruba, Fulanis, and Ijaw. Whence from the hate? The only place I detect hate if from your belly. Purge yourself of it. And you should stop spurting what you have no idea of. |

Alcatraz005: I am still the same guy and I still maintain that we need peace but see the hate your brother is spewing due to mere VP ticket that Yorubas have already? I am perplexed but I ain’t bothered. That hate has always been there between both tribes and there is nothing I can do about it. But this kinda thread is not good for both tribes as it serves to radicalize both parties. It is well. It's true we all have the capacity to descend into the gutter; into the abyss. In practical term, descent is easier to achieve than ascent. If you have chosen a straight path - stick to it. Flip-flopping doesn't portray you as strong and principle. There are many on both sides who are not given to the 'roforofo' fight, so don't blame anyone for dragging you back to your vomit. If you keep going back, then you cannot excuse yourself from what you are, despite the masking. So are you for the gutter or above the fray? |

Alcatraz005: At this point, the igbos must clinch the VP ticket and go on to win the main polls. They must enjoy the spoils of Office too. They must revenge what the “Afonjas” have done to them in this Buhari Presidency. Igbo worldview is not built on the need for revenge; we prefer live and let live . A philosophy of level playing field. Afonja is just meaningless trolling; it's just like saying conies, or ewedurian. It's doesn't stop any serious person from living. By the way, are you not same guy crying for peace and ceasation of online hostilities a few day ago? Where from the duplicity; the volte face? If there were to be winner, Nairaland Yorubas won't be apprehensive about the emergency of Atiku, the type of crowd he appears to be pulling. We need a system of level playing ground; equity and fairness across board. And we'll all be winners. |

Whatever be the case, it's important everyone is given sense of belonging in government.
Whether PDP or APC regime, every ethnic group is important and must be respected.
Yes, South West votes do count, as does South East votes, and every geopolitical region. Let's not repeat the mistake of Buhari, and let's end the cycle of acrimony, it's not productive. |

gbolah1: Due to my observation, It obvious the major tribe that wanted Atiku to become president in 2019 is Igbo and Ipob members to be precise due to there hatred for Buhari. Though there is no big deal in a tribe supporting a candidate for an election. The reality is that south east block vote cannt make Atiku to become the president of Nigeria. Very soon Atiku will be seen as anti north due to the session of the country that's promoting his ambition. The truth is anybody that wanted to rule Nigeria will need a block vote from the north My advice for Atiku is to advance his way of campaign and he should not allow a particular section to dominate is campaign. Personally I don't see him as an option against Buhari but we need a viable opposition in the country to put the current government in its tolls to do the right thing. Igbo promoted Obasanjo, Yar Adua, and GEJ too. So what's the big deal promoting your interest. Yorubas are promoting the disaster Buhari by the way, and no one is accusing them of being Ant-Nigerian. Why don't you shut your trap instead of promoting hate and bigotry! |

I will ask to promoting him to think seriously about the disaster that is Buhari.
This was how this current disaster called Buhari was promoted on this forum by several for bigoted reason. The same way we are we promoting Atiku? How about technocrats such as Ngozi Iweala, Charles Soludo, Donald Duke, Peter Obi. Surely they will surely do a better job than Atiku.
If there is preponderance for the geriatric, their is Ogbonnaya Onu. Why are we not vociferous in promotion of ours rather than theirs?
But if we must promote Atiku, we should at least know what his politics and policies outlooks are. This haste is not healthy! |

cc PointB My position is clear. Every city in Nigeria is a Nigerian city; it's a no man's land. If you have the number, influence and spread, the sky is the limit. Of course there will be resistance, however provided you are not breaking the law you have to forge ahead. Some of our compatriots are funny, they travel abroad and vie for highest offices there, but here at home they want to frustrate the aspiration of their fellow citizens in the name of tribalism. The lightening that will strike them is conspiring with multiple storms. |
