O yes you should. Obj is surely not an epitome of credibility. Or...?

Did you read all the 'nice' things OBJ said about Atiku in his book? Particularly those that have to do with fidelity? wink

Ekweremadu just discovered how 'valuable' Atiku's promises are wink
Did you remember to take a pinch of salt when going through Obj's submissions?

Really? You've negotiated with him before to know that? As 'unreasonable' as Abacha was, do I need to enumerate and name the political leaders from every tribe who were pushing life presidency for him?
Good luck negotiating with Buhari, and believing in his promises. grin

Well, Wike didn't hide his disdain for Atiku before the primaries. He didn't hide his annoyance that Atiku was planning to beseige the delegates by buying up hotel spaces in PH. He didn't hide the fact that Atiku's restructuring mantra was all a ruse. All these he said openly on a TV interview and well reported by newspapers.

Politicians are nothing without self interest and Ekweremadu's experience has shown that promissory notes are useless with Atiku so whats stopping Wike from playing both sides? After all, it's all about interest
Wike is a politician, he will negotiate. Provided there is no history of failed promises between them.

I admire the power of your imagination. Who knows, you could be right.

Now can you apply this same power to the possibility that Nyesom Wike could be working for Buhari's reelection? Considering the fact that he was openly against Atiku infact more antagonistic than some APC people
I'm not sure Atiku has broken any promised made to Wike. Me think though that Wike probably loaths Buhari more that he does Atiku. Atiku is a 'reasonable' man. Same cannot be said for Buhari.

What I expect Wike to do is to extract as much concession from Atiku as possible. Atiku could make those concession and maybe or not keep them. Personally, I don't know if Atiku is they type that breaks his promises.

This would only be established during his first term.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Fashola Working For Atiku by PointB: 6:05pm On Oct 25, 2018
The Op is unto something there.
Actually it makes sense for Tinubu to support Atiku, and work for his victory.

It's just Buhari's first term and from every indication he and his inner caucus hardly respect or regard Tinubu. Apart from perhaps Osibanjo's nomination, what exactly was Tinubu (and Osibanjo) able to influence in this administration? If he couldn't influence much in Buhari's first term, what guarantee does he have he will be able to do so in the second term.

Against Buhari, Osibanjo and other party big-wigs' will, Tinubu refused to endorse or support Ambode to continue as Lagos State. He carefully selected his own man. This is indicative of a man not hedging his bets.

Beside, a history of business relationship between Tinubu and Atiku is already established. Knowing Tinubu's penchant to work for financial gain, a betting man would put his money in Tinubu codedly working for Atiku.

Whatever Buhari's camp promised Tinubu is the past wasn't kept; any promised made him in future will likely meet same fate.

I reckon that Tinubu's main challenge now will be how to pull this off without it been so obvious. All eyes are on him, and documents are being dusted to use in keeping him in check. Either way, his power is being whithered.

I wouldn't want to be in his shoes now.

I didn't believe that news too.

But Lai's antecedence precedes him. That's why it easy to bring him into such shenanigan.

Now the house – Alliance of Protected Crooks also known by their initial – APC, was the most deceitful house in the land and several vile men swell their rank. Their banner has an insignia of broken broom held by a filthy hand.
Liar son of Momed speaks for them and he bore false witness against many, and he uttered many lies – great and small to the people of the land.
Some believe him, and several others curse him for the lies he told. Lair the son Momed is said to have been born with a lying tongue.

Lol.

A thousand people, a thousand lies
And he told several lies to the people and several against King Jonah the Able son of Locki.
And many were swayed by his lies. Upon the lies of Layar son of Momed House stood APC, upon quicksand was it foundation laid. For no man alive was greater than him in this dark art. And the people began to call him ‘Liar’ son of Momed. For lies were his breakfast, and lies his supper. When he prays he lies, when he preys he lies. And it was said of Liar son of Momed, that when he speaks to a thousand people, he could tell a thousand lies, one to each.

Brethren,
All I can say is that Buhari came and he is cleaning up the rot of that satanic synagogue called PDP.
Buhari is doing a lot with the little resources he's able to salvage from the national devastation PDP put us in.

I'm not in support of any party and neither do I like or support any current presidential candidate but going back to PDP is tantamount to going back to 1814.

And I'll say that I don't like Buhari because of his silence to important issues is appalling and irritating.

In most societies the populate is subtly left with the worst of the worst candidates to chose from which is also sad.

So... the best thing now is to get rid of all our current politicians and a new set should follow.

Only God can redeem this nation though. And we can't sit and wait for God to help us, we need to help ourselves so God can help us.
Plunging the country into big debt is not same as using little resource.

You mean parents that are still owed backlog of Salaries.

Until Civil servants are paid as at when due and businesses are doing fine, free education is the way to go for now. Education can be quality and free....after all, I enjoyed free and qualitative education
It's sad parents are being owned salary for work they have done for the government. Very unfortunate.

Yet, paying parent's ward school fees is not solution, nor substitute for the reward of their labour. Cos that does not help those without children who have other needs.

But the crux of my argument is: alternative forgone.

Government can choose to pay children school fees, and while at it, feed them. Or government can invest in infrastructure that enables parent generate income to pay school fees, feed children, and pay tax to government. Experience has shown that government can't have it both ways.

So Ekiti state should do what works very well for the people of the state. Good luck to Fayemi, I believe he's smart enough to know what's good for his people.

Govt is paying, its better than paying for stomach infrastructure. Teach people how to fish and stop giving them fish.
I agree free education is better than 'stomach infrastructure' But is is not better to spend the money improving the quality of education, and creating enabling environment for businesses to sprout and thrive? Especially if parents are able to pay for their wards education by themselves.

Someone will pay for 'free' stuff, does the government of Ekiti generate enough money for such program?

Chapter 2: The Rise of Atikulate son of Atiku
hotchapters.com October 16, 2018 No Comments on Chapter 2: The Rise of Atikulate son of Atiku

Despondence and anger
In the third year of the reign of King Bubu son of Hari, the kingdom of Nigeria was in despondence.
Hunger and anger ravaged the land. And there was strife all over the kingdom. And the kingdom was at at war with her people, big and small. And herdsmen slew several, while king Bubu’s men looked the other way. As it was in the days of King Jonah the Able, son of Locki, She-cow and his band of brigands continue to ravage the vast land in the north east of the kingdom.
They took girls from center of learning and release them as they wish.
And they took Leah daughter of Sharibu
The people writ in anger at what have befallen the great kingdom of Nigeria. Many regretted having cast their lots for him that he became king. Many vowed they would cast their next lots for a stone rather than the king.

Don't be clever by half.

Isn't it the president who will send nomination for replacement? Is Magu the only person the presidency can find suitable for job? Aren't there other equally (or more) capable men and women?
PoliticsRe: ''Ibrahim Magu Is Going Nowhere'' - Osinbajo Declares by PointB:
Tecno66:
I get surprised by Osinbajo. At times positions make people unpredictable. All these go to show that the only corrupt people are those not in their camp and that explains why Nigeria's score by Transparency International is very low inspite of the efforts they are making. Imagine Osinbajo saying Magu cannot be removed because he is the most senior personnel in EFCC. Was he not deployed from the police? can he not be sent back?
I feel vindicated by his position/utterance. I never for once believe in the camouflage he wore enroute the Vice Presidency. The man couldn't have been in corridor of power this long, work extensively with/for Tinubu and not know how to serve his interest and that of his paymasters.

Osibanjo is just being true to type, nothing out of character here.
PoliticsRe: ''Ibrahim Magu Is Going Nowhere'' - Osinbajo Declares by PointB: 12:08pm On Mar 02, 2018
If Magu is a patriot, he should resign that post in the bigger interest of the country. But I'm sure he's afraid of going to jail for corrupt practices himself, hence he's holding on to the post.

This won't end well for him, especially after this government. Best for him to resign now and work at saving himself with using current connection.
