I am simply saying I rather be cast in the sea than embrace the devil. While both option are not palatable, every rational mind will accept that while both are deadly and cause untold hardship, death and misfortune to people, MEND (militancy) is lesser evil than Boko Haram (terrorism) |

alj_harem: Ridiculous statement my brother. A terrorist group is a terrorist group.
what of the kidnapped Nigerians caught by mend, where they not killed
just because Mend does not come out to bomb populated areas like BH does , does not mean they have not killed Hundreds of Nigerians Initially you were speaking like the foolish aboki you are. But the highlight does make sense. MEND not bombing populated area makes them - militant group; Boko Haram bombing populated areas with the single intention of killing civilians in large number makes them terrorist group.
Let me spell it out slowly;
MEND are Militant Boko Haram - with links to Al Qaeda, and Al Shabaab are confirmed TerroristsThe international community will not respond in the same way. Militants can be reasoned with, terrorists should be confronted. That is why Yar Adua sent MEND boys to school abroad and looked the other way when police took out Yusuf the Boko Haram leader in captivity (and he deserved what he got!) |

GenBuhari: 05 January 1984 - ITN News (video clip) MILITARY GOVERNORS SWORN IN AND WARNED OF PENALTIES FOR CRIME AND CORRUPTION. (video clip)

Nineteen military governors were formally appointed by the new Head of State, Major-General Mohammed Buhari, and other members of the country's Supreme Military Council (SMC) in Lagos on January 4 to run Nigeria's federal states.
General Buhari attended the official swearing-in ceremony, which came four days after he led a bloodless coup ousting former President Shehu Shagari.
Speaking at the ceremony, Buhari reminded his new governors of their duties.All were chosen, he said, for their ability to discharge their responsibilities in the best interests of the country.He went on to warn them that crime and corruption for personal gain, one reason for the coup, would be ruthlessly punished. My friend quit wasting byte space, every Nigerian President/Head of State after him said the same thing, that ediioot Buhari was quoted as saying. They are for the press and publicity! You man Buhari is a bad market in Nigeria, or why did you think he lost elections three times in a row? Yea, I know, you like your other colleagues will blame his loss on 'ignorant Nigerians.' Pathetic excuse, if you ask me. |

Smoke that bird-brained the genocide instigator of the Boko Haram and lost elections fame, and turn him into an oozing jellyfish like his hero Osama Bin Laden wound up, when the Navy Seals got done with him. Nobody will miss that waste of space, except perhaps his illiterate murder-mobs, who rely on Ayatollah Buhari to funnel Al Queda terrorist blood-money for the perpetration of their ongoing bombing campaign against innocent civilians in Nigeria. Well said, no one will miss him; or maybe perhaps those who enjoy seeing him continuously make a mockery of himself as a perpetual election loser, and litigant. Other than that and his recent orchestration of mass murder of innocent corpers and other Nigeria, and his enthronement of Boko Haram, what has that old senile murderer contributed to Nigeria? dipo+: Its shameful that the Nigerian state has not been able to check the atrocities of the BH sect. And this failure is spelling a bigger doom for the nation because it is only a matter of time before another rival group takes it upon itself to brandish weapons against BH. I will not go into MEND/BH comparison because both are criminal bodies and have done the singular unpardonable i.e killing innocent humans.
Our country has made mistakes in the past, like not handling illegal groups like MEND firmly and I think we should atone for that starting with this BH. No amnesty bulltalk should even come up. Deploy the military after some investigation and annihilate any body listed as a threat to the Nigerian unity. the Nigerian unity. You have spoken like an erudite, kudos. @some comments, We the ' ignorant Nigerians' are having fun at the expense of the informed yet bitter Nigerians! In our ignorance, we decided to choose a meek, humble man with little or no track record, because we believe in him. We refused to accept the bigoted murderer called General Buhari not only because he had blood on his hands or because of his bigoted views; but also based on our believe that he is an old clueless Islamic fundamentalis; moreover we enjoy seeing him contest and lose every four years, and we hope to see him try and lose again in 2015. Now we the ignorant Nigerian are enjoying what we achieved, but the bitter one are angry and even more bitter for what we did. Because we are ignorant, we are happy, but because they are wise, they are bitter. Now which of these two people are more likely to have a healthy live? The ignorant and meek, or the educated and bitter? Your guess is a good as mine! If you are informed as you truly claim, then I truly pity most of you. Cos you failed to understand what happened in 2011 election. Buhari was not, is not, and will NEVER EVER be qualified to rule Nigeria! Chikena! |

Actions are taken into context, if you were actually schooled like you claim, categorizing actions is very important in understanding events and its sequence. However, no one can say the same for Boko Haram, who announced themselves few years ago by sacking police stations and civil authority. In that regard, MEND and Boko Haram are world apart. U dey mind the guy. i honestly cant fathom what is reasonable in MEND. go check all the various houses and properties of the so called warlords and u will av an idea of what truly they were fighting for. The masses (ND peeps) are still lamenting and suffering though. Neither are they minding your simplistic approach. You paint the guy who seek out civilians and killed them in the name of religion and the one who occasionally get civilian caught in crossfire in the same brush. And then you wonder why reasonable people should take you serious. Anyway, the bulk of the MEND guys are all abroad learning useful skills, and getting rehabilitated because they are considered Militants (criminals in not even the right word, and I actually called them that in a haste.) Boko Haram are not, and will never be considered militants; they are rag-tag army of criminal terrorists, whose stock in trade is to target hapless, innocents, and vulnerable civilians, and killing them in cold bloods, basically in the name of religions (for lack of any other agenda). They will remain accursed and have no peace in their bloody miserable live; and will die from JTF gunshot wounds. They will unsung in the death, denied proper burials, and the bones will be picked by vultures, and scavengers! Now the difference is very clear. Boko Harams are a terrorists band; MEND are militants |

26th September, 2011. Press Statement BOKO HARAM: Enough is enough and No Basis For Unity. We are compelled by the present Boko Haram merciless bombing in the country without verifiable developmental agitation. The continuous killings of Christians in the north should be stop forthwith. Those foolish and irresponsible enough to assume or pretend that it is possible to run Nigeria by sectarian dictation do no more than reject a natural phenomenon, which is that when it hits, it reverberates. The tsunami of Boko Haram will not, in its sweep, skip the homes and interests of it promoters, active or passive. Boko Haram has been leaving bombs around churches and other places with clusters of the innocent. In the event of a failed state, all those Nigerians pretending to possess two heads, and currently cruising around in limousines and jetting about the globe will be grounded. Why can’t we live in peace? If peace is pronounced a war, why can’t we go our separate ways by amicable agreement? Boko Haram may have its origins from wherever it likes. Its wild excesses are essentially a reaction to the Presidential ascendancy of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. It has its sponsors and financiers. If we are actually one Nigeria, why won’t we allow other Geo-political Zone to rule the country? Saudi Arabia is the centre of the Islamic faith, yet, there was not even a single killing of Christian faithful in that country. why all these killings of National Youth Service Corps members and other innocent citizens in reaction to Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidential Victory? “NOTE WELL, if further killings by Boko Haram as a result of Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidency in the country within fourteen days of this statement, we shall without hesitation commence sending every Muslim in the Niger Delta Region to their various homes and ask our people to return home. No section of this country is an embodiment of killing others. Muslims can’t live in our land freely (Niger Delta) while they will be killing our people in their land. If they don’t want peace we will meet them were ever they are. This is our message.” No Muslim has condemned the killings of Christians by Boko Haram in the North. Is it only the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan Nigeria has witnessed major security lapses as the northern elites want to ridicule him as incapable of protecting the territorial integrity of the country? we have tasted blood war. That Borno and the entire North are guilty of harbouring and protecting Boko Haram. If they don’t want the terrorist organization they should push them out of their midst and give them up to the military after all they live amongst them and probably pray in the same mosque. So they can’t claim that they don’t know where the Boko Haram are.
The emergence of the notorious Boko Haram was premediated and designed to blackmail and undermines the authority of President Jonathan. The Sect is suspected to be affiliated with the Yemini version of Al Quaeda.
We urge the President to invoke his powers as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and give his security chiefs an ultimatum within which to use every strategy to dislodge the notorious Boko Haram and other perpetrators of attack on the Nigerian people. The Truth is that no dispensation will ever be good in Nigeria except from Muslim North. The release of Boko Haram Co-founder, Alhaji Ali Tishau by the Police on request by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) and later vanished from detention is clear demonstration that the North is out to fight the President with the Islamic Sect. Enough is enough with this Sect to worry Mr. President. That if further attempt to distract the developmental attention of Mr. President in the country, we the Egbesu Mightier Fraternity will earth the so called Boko Haram in the North. This is our word. We have killed and we will not care to kill again. This is signed by the joint Revolutionary Council. While it is not proved, we cannot just push it aside. I believe there are many of the governor's apologists on NL but we continue probing until the truth is told. Any body who knows the governor should know he is randy, And he is saying he don't want to reply. Why It's means there is nothing the blogger can not do to make money. He could easily have said Alj Harem recruits suicide bombers for Boko Haram, and Hausa Mauraders to attack Jos, with photos to 'prove' it, unless Alj Harem gives him N 10m.
