FreeGlobe:
This ijaw exhibitionist should port to APC already without flooding the cyberspace with his irrelevant junk.
He could even be damaging the party more than building it.

@Op,
You readership is waning. Either you choose defending your Ethnic group (Ijaw) or PDP. It's increasing becoming obvious you can't do both. By trying to do both, you'll damage the party's brand more than help it, especially on Nairaland. Look at Ochejoseph? Do you see him get himself involved in ethnic squabbles? That's food for thought.

As for me, and many people like me (and trust me we are many), we don't care what happens to PDP! It can very well go to blazes!

Mr. Buhari has not yet budged. As a military dictator in 1985, he similarly seized the international passport of Chief Obafemi Awolowo to thwart his travel for medical treatment, which caused his death in 1987. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Meanwhile, Op please conclude the article. This part is left out:

Continued from page 1
Members of Nigeria’s National Assembly and Senate have been reduced to playing the roles of extras in cinematic extravaganzas.

Further, President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration accepted a peaceful transfer of power to President Buhari, a laudable landmark in African politics. If Mr. Buhari is permitted with impunity to destroy his political opponents like Mr. Dasuki with tyrannical methods, peaceful transfers of power everywhere on the Continent will become problematic. The incumbents’ risk of political and personal impalement at the hands of their would-be successors will be too high.

The United States should be insisting on independent human rights observers to monitor Mr. Dasuki’s prosecution and trial, and demanding that Mr. Buhari honor his vow to follow due process and the rule of law. The stakes are too high to remain silent.

True. Different strokes for different folks.

But in the end, protest is still a legitimate tool in democracy. You need to open your skull up and pour that in.

Biafrans wants freedom not war. A UN sponsored referendum is what should happen no war!
In which way are we better off as one Nigeria? Besides, if as a group of people, we don't want to 'enjoy' your better one Nigeria, shouldn't we exercise our right to self determination?

Who are you to tell me what's good, or better for me?
PoliticsRe: We Are Ready To Die, Pro-biafra Agitators Tells Father Mbaka by PointB: 10:13am On Nov 16, 2015
Looks to me that Fr. Mbaka will end up disgracing himself.

At times it better to keep quiet and watch things unfold.

If he want IPOB to dialogue with FG, shouldn't he be facilitating the dialogue? Why equate the struggle to money? Did those protesting not know they will lose income by closing their shops? Did they need Fr. Mbaka to tell them where their priority lies? Is Freedom not more than money making?

I think Fr. Mbaka should face his core responsibility of winning souls for Christ, and leave matter of politics and agitation to those more suitable for it.

Biafra lives on!

What has the presidency benefited anyone?

Me think Mr Osita Okechukwu is afraid Biafra actualisation will make him irrelevant. The solution for Mr Osita Okechukwu is to join the Biafra movement and secure the future of his children, as Nigeria has failed, and is bound to disintegrated, sooner rather than later.

Nigeria is a failed state; Biafra is Hope!

Truckpusher:
And what is the guarantee that your 90% will come into fruition?

Show me IPOB/Biafra road map, policies, economic model and basic ideology of a nationhood.

Also show me the documentations, references and their various signatories that were drawn from the different ehtnicity that makes up the Biafra.

Just show me one thing why I should believe you here - because if you don't have it ......... don't you think it is better to remain in servitude than running away just on the promises of an Eldorado from an unlikely friend or a brother that has shown time without numbers that he is capable of enslaving you too.

Show me one thing....either by ideology or your love for these people.
Actually, I'm in no position to give guarantees, as I'm not a member of the inner caucus. That's why I insist that you can easily negotiate and get close to 90% in Biafra (a new nation) than in the present Nigeria. But the only thing I can say for certain is that Igbos have no agenda to enslave you, and there is no proof of previous enslavement. I can't also claim that I love Ijaws, but I have no reason to hate them either. Biafra movement is not motivated by love or hatred for Ijaws, but by desire for something much better and different from Nigeria.

You just have to believe you won't be worse off, and then take a leap of faith. Fear is one factor that prevent people from reaching their potential. In your case, ii is the fear of an illusory domination by Igbos to the extent you want to remain in servitude in Nigeria. If Jacob's children had thought like you, they wouldn't have left Egypt where they were slaves.

But if you truly believe that you are better off in servitude Nigeria than potentially getting a better deal in Biafra, I'll say good luck!

Good. I still don't know why some of my people have not cued to the idea.
I don't get it too.

I know people like TonyeBarcanista believe PDP will come back and fix Nigeria, and he's even excited that Igbos might get VP in PDP with an Northern President in 2019. What he doesn't know is that Igbos can dump PDP and negotiate with APC to support a Buhari's second term, paving for SE President earlier than PDP can manage. But in the end, what's does profit to be a President in Nigeria? Take a look at the North!

Biafra is the hope!

It beta for ijaws to work with the igbos for mutual benefits, its beta for u ppl to join the Biafra struggle with an aggreement on resoruce control, its easier to achive that in biafra than in Nigeria. Igbo also have oil and gas (in abundance). We have Innoson, and Zinox. We just want to be free from the failure/joke Nigeria has become!

Suddenly he has become a good Ijaw man simply because he spoke in favor of what you want to hear and no longer the ogogoro drinking bastard you've been using to classify the Ijaw people in this forum.

It is only an Ijaw man who doesn't know history will fail to understand that the Igbos, the Hausa/Fulanis and the Yorubas all have one dream and that dream is simple, which is to annex all the minority ethnic groups around them for their resources, land, strategic location and to serve as vassal states in their warped mindset. But here is the truth which you have failed to admit: The minorities of the Niger Delta will not be part of any arrangement where their interests are not well defined and protected and any attempt to force it on them would be met with a fierce resistance at all cost.

Go figure.....
Hehehehe, actually the picture you painted is the current picture. You have an opportunity to seek something better, rather than grab it, you are still pointing fingers. I fail to see how you can wriggle out of the situation in the Niger Delta especially in the area of resource control, and others. Me think it's easier to get a better deal in Biafra than in Nigeria. Currently Nigeria offer 13% derivative, and from every indication you could get close to 90% in Biafra.

In the end, it's just a matter of time. The oil will run out and when it does, everyone in the South will become expendable to the North; and there will be no bargaining chips. Then the jungle will mature!

PoliticsRe: Biafra - A Call For The Ijaw Nation To Stand Up For Truth. by PointB: 6:51pm On Nov 12, 2015
It is much easier for Ijaws and others to control their resources in Biafra, than in Nigeria. Besides, in Nigeria, Ijaws will be discarded as soon the oil runs out. It's a no-brainer that the time to stand up and be counted is now. Ijaws should either add their voice to the IPOB protest or miss another golden opportunity. The window is fast closing.

Not many poeple like the way Kanu started the agitation, but that was the only way to ignite the passion, arouse interest, and keep the momentum. It's sanctioned by experts such as Sun Tzu, Art of War, when he wrote:

When you engage in actual fighting (or protesting), try to gain victory before you exhaust your strength. In order to kill the enemy, your men must be aroused to anger and motivated to win.
PoliticsRe: Forbes Take On Kemi Adeosun, Nigeria's New Minister For Finance by PointB: 5:06pm On Nov 12, 2015
Buhari, who won elections in March on a populist, reformist, anti-corruption platform, took nearly five months to name his cabinet, and only announced which of his nominees would hold which portfolios on November 11, when they were sworn in.

Some analysts said that the vacuum in political leadership has hampered policymaking during difficult period for the Nigerian economy and exacerbated the downturn.

Without clarity in economic policymaking, the Central Bank of Nigeria has attempted to use monetary policy tools to limit the damage to the economy, imposing limited capital controls and spending the country’s foreign currency reserves to prop up the naira.

“While losing precious time, the new government was unable not only to unveil much-needed economic and political reform… but it was also unable to present the budget for next year nor push forward urgent infrastructure programs,” Ricard Torné, FocusEconomics’ senior economist for Sub-Saharan Africa, said last month.
This just about summarised the article.

The duara dullard is aka Baba Go-Slow.

He's slowness in thinking, and acting exacerbate the situation, now he has to do catch up.

However one thing the Forbes article failed to mention is the much touted talk of diversifying the economy. One would have thought that attention and effort would be given to the agricultural ministry in the form of an energetic and dynamic minister like the last occupant of that very strategic ministry. But what do we have? A 68 old career politician - Audu Ogbeh! undecided

PoliticsRe: Why Has The Ipob Protest Been Unsuccessful In Imo State by PointB:
Abagworo:
Tell me why IPOB is not popular in Imo State thats all. Could it be a PDP affair?
Let's even assume for a moment that IPOB is a PDP related issue, in other words it's a PDP orchestrated political reaction, shouldn't the duara dullard engage his political machinery to deal the the issues they are raising? Or you think that by branding it a PDP affair, you have dealt with the problem of people on the street? Is show of force, or suppression the best way to deal with a "PDP Affair" ? Should Political issue be settled politically? Beside isn't it an indictment on the current government that the much maligned PDP is able to raise such mammoth crowd and organise these massive protest?

Personally, I think the matter is never PDP and it's even beyond PDP; I believe the people on those streets have genuine concerns which should be addressed. Labeling it "PDP Affairs" is defeatist, and shirking responsibility, and it won't solve the problem. Rather it will enable to continue to continue to grow, fester, and hopefully become a reality.

Buhari caused the problem, Buhari should fix it; this is a bad time to play the ostrich.
