Guys, if you're driving on a road demarcated with two yellow lines in the middle, for example, Awolowo rd in Ikoyi or Bode Thomas street in Surulere, please never you overtake another car by crossing the yellow lines, as it will be tantamount to wrongful overtaking and subsequently counted as driving one-way if you're caught by LASTMA or police.
If you want to overtake a slow moving vehicle in front of you, try as much as possible to keep to your own side of the line without crossing it. Lagos State officials are cashing out on violators when caught. Always lookout for these little traps and save yourself money you would have used in bailing your car out of their hands.

No cherry picking, I have questions begging for answers, but you keep looking for fault to buy your way out. The elantra you want to sell for 1.3, if I offer u 1.2/1.1, won't you accept it? Elantra was my very first car I used on uber.. I never had issues looking for parts etc and till today elantra is still very popular for uber..

The last tokunbo elantra I sold about almost two years ago .. I bought from a private owner for $700 load it inside container for $1200 and sold it less than two weeks and still made small profit ...

Mind you When you load a car inside container it affects your profit margin .. I no get time to break it down for you... Now I no fit get elantra that same price anymore . it is expensive, it is almost like buying corolla ... So elantra are still very popular among uber drivers and private users alike.......

The only way I will use elantra again is if uber restructure their business model and increase fare and make their services more premium etc .. Trust me na elantra I go use sharp sharp......

For now elantra 2007 upwards is too classy for uber unless uber is offering premium services. Corolla is ok for uber work due to its non executive looking shape .. I will rather have an elantra of the same year of a corolla pick me up for am important event than a corolla .. There is nothing wrong with a Corolla , I agree it is stronger than an elantra .. But the car is just too local and outdated for me ....... I will even take a 2021 Elantra of the same year over a corolla ...


Uber is no more a luxury ride anymore.. As such you have to adjust accordingly I said it in the past. If you are buying tokunbo corolla , camry , vibe , matrix for ehalling you are not only wasting ur time and money But you are hustling backwards, whether civic get leg room for back or not ..uber is no more premium services anymore .. Uber cars should get you from point A to point B in comfort and safety.. Uber cars are not meant to be carry loads of people up and down .... It shows you have no clue of what u are saying.. After Corolla Hyundai elantra is the next big choice for ehailing. Parts are very easy to get .. The elantra engine bay is not too tight to work around with......

Have been doing uber for 4years plus.. Elantra USA spec 2.0liter was my first choice of cars on the platform.. The car was very ok strong and fuel consumption was good as any 1.7 liter engine car .. I had about 6 of them the a/c system was well built , the transmission was impressively built strong.. I was so impress with the Elantra that I bought 1 for private use ....... The car was too simple to fix not a complicated car ......

Elantra Resale value.... I never had issues selling them at all .... Since I took good care of the cars I had up selling them for nothing less than 1m ..... It didnt take me long to sell at all ....

I have basically sold all my elantra on my fleet except for 1 that I will be putting up for sale soon.. Never had issues selling those cars .. I don't like to keep cars for more than two years on ehailing, even though I have kept some for longer ......

Unfortunately tokunbo elantra USA spec 07 to 10 are very expensive at the auction.. They are built to compete with Corolla.. And they are 1 of the top selling cars in the USA on that category etc ... And I knew it will be expensive down the line especially if am buying them tokunbo for ehailing. This is why I switch over to the Civic 03 to 05 ...


When it comes Cars that are use on the platform .. It boils down to maintainence of the car ...... I have seen a 2010 Corolla that the body was so banged up and looking unkempt dirty etc that I wouldn't want to get inside o.. .

Also, one key factor on Indriver is patient because your next trip can be 2hrs after the previous because of drivers like pope191 and chucsmoor's fastest fingers. Those guys are real hoodlums

I've not driven on any other platform outside InDriver this year... I just think the drag in the business these days are the Olosho's that are yet to resume work fully, Clubs that are shut down and the working from home peeps. I want to service my car today and when I'm done, I on the app, Ard after 12 I saw a trip going to surulere from berger 2k, gave her ordinary 2200, she won't accept and we are like 5 drivers dragging, one broda among us just accept the trip. Indriver is one stupid app, did I just say stupid? Yes! Like very stupid app, but you just have to learn how to manage it. You r lucky the rider picked you, after giving him or her 2500, drivers don't give price on Indriver again, unless you want to sleep on one spot, drivers like Tojahh, Felicity001 and Davit will not let you complete one trip. About the trip you are looking at now, just end it, next time if you want to pick a trip on Indriver be sure it's aim to go and not fastest finger pushed me. Even if you made a mistake of not calculating well, just cancel the trip, you have grace of cancelling 2wice/day and in the case of you arriving with the aim of cancelling you know when its 6pm and Nigeria is about to go to sleep, that anthem sound you hear and you have to pulse wherever you are? That's same way Indriver cancellation works after sliding arrived, just stay at that point where u slide on the arrived for 5 mins, then cancel, even if it is in the middle of the road, cos the moment you drift away from that point or few metres, you will have to complete the trip. The most interesting part of this, the rider can't cancel from his/her end and your subsequent riders will see his/her comment about you so boss go ahead and complete the trip, welcome back to the hustle. But nah back door you use enter sha, you didn't even loud your entrance

We are in the same dilemma, I have used Hyundai and I'm using Honda now, but struggling to get Toyota. Feel's like I'm yet to arrive if I don't have Toyota. I was patiently observing the type of car argument last week and choose to keep mute if expert like Bishop or Madam Rad are not saying anything.

But my little submission on this matter: either cars are built for different purpose or we need to understand the reason why we need a particular car at a point in time. Toyota small but mighty barely reduce in price, it's that kind of shoe you will use and leave for ur children (mallam ku rin jo).

Toyota Corrolla: 2m or 1.5/6m for grade local used, if you use the car for 2 yrs and want to resale, pending on abuse... The car may go for 1.6 for toks resale or 1.3 for local used, at the end 300/400k difference

Honda Civic: toks 1.2/1.1, while used can fly from 750 to 400k and some times it's hard to tell the difference b/w both. Let's assume you get a good grade Honda for 750 and you use it for 2 years, sell at 600k, what's the difference? 150k

Prons: They both make same money, but I consider Toyota Corolla as moving money and owners worth, better chance of offline trips if you have good communication skills. For Honda? The A/C, interior and sound system is a give away. If you buy a car of 750 and after 2 years, you've made 3.5/4m plus or minus, compare it to buying a car of 2m and making same amount.

I hardly concern myself with how people choose to live their lives, but sometimes it's hard to ignore stuffs like what you wrote. African China and the lady in question are not mate, I can't tell how he made the money for his house, but please respect his process. He released his first album crisis in 2007, that's 14 years ago. I careless what these ladies do to get money, obviously not movies... Just suck to say, we will never see d end of every vices we frown at, as long as we keep validating folks with questionable possession and wealth.
