Very good.
From VI, I took a passenger to somolu side and I took the Apongbon/Eko bridge just to be sure.
Now my mind is at rest to be going to surulere.
There has been significant reduction of traffic on 3MB, sure, the effect of the opening of the bridge. smiley

The bridge will be on lock for repair tomorrow.

Why does my car's fuel efficiency vary, could it be due to some fueling stations selling adulterated fuel?

I topped up my car tank today with 20 liters of fuel from northwest fueling station in gbagada, and i noticed that my fuel gauge didn't go down as quickly as usual.

I've been buying from Total in Maryland all this while but it seems their fuel ain't that good, would be sticking to northwest for now.

Total Maryland is a stupid filling station.

Nah so I take pick request today from Ikoyi to shomolu around 9pm. Rider just doze off. Got there and try to wake him, oga no gree wake. Fear won enter my body. I hit the man well, oga wake up. Next thing he says,

Rider: are we there?
Me: Yes sir!
Rider: No, this is not my house, is this not toll gate

Inside my mind I’m like Jesu, which kind wahala be this.

Rider : you are wasting my time, take me to my house
Me : oga where’s your house?
He called the address
Me: oga see this is it, Look at the number at the wall
Rider: are you sure this is not Lekki

Took his neighbors to tell me to calm down, he’s high. Reach out to his wife to come take him and pay. Wahala

How many times did I call u?
Go and sleep and leave Feli Feli alone

Instead of you to help him, you are telling me to leave him. Ask him to come honest with himself. You sell cars, Tojahh too. If you give me car, I’ll sell too. Everyone is literally a car seller here, but it’s a known fact that toks are not moving fine now. The subsidy thing is k*lling business. Can Felicity boost of selling between the range of 15 to 20 cars ever since he found opportunity to transfer unimaginable 10k. It’s a good thing to aim high? But at least make sure you are on point.

Right now what he need is a car on rental at least find small change to keep body and soul. Just maybe he go see lemon lambo sell give person someday.

I think everything still balls down to low self esteem.

Real life experience, I remember many years ago when my secondary school reunion was been organized, many of our class mates refused to show up, quoting the fact that reunion is basically to size people and for show off.
Mehn I could not process that in my head.
Like why would someone that does not cater for me wants to show off to me and I will foolishly allow it get to me, I spoke with some few other classmates and they were saying same thing and they insisted on not attending probably because they saw themselves as lowlife or not up to the level they are perceived to be.
As for me I want to attend and reunite with old friends, So thinking about what other people where saying made me decided to beef up my pockets on the day of the reunion so that no body would be able to whine me.
Lo and behold reunion day reach, it was all love from everybody, most people pull up with wicked mobs, but Some of us that don't av a mob pulled up in a coaster bus organized to transport people to and fro the venue, no discrimination, right there in that reunion, one of our classmate that is super rich, decided to support people that does creative business with money and he shared 100k each to 7people total 700k, I was a beneficiary, further more amidst the link up, he I still got a a job(handwork) that took me to awka (500k).
In this life people must get pass u and u self go get pass others, but never u ever limit urself because u feel u were supposed to be bigger or doing much better than u are doing now.

Moral of the story is,
if e no dey e no dey, person wey naked no dey put hand for pocket

Former MD
Former president
Former senator
All those things doesn't count, the truth is if reality set in u go fit meet up??

I get you boss and it is imperative to know I speak in general and not from my own point of view. I have been going to reunion before I even have a car and can jump bike to mine. E no concern anybody.

But the truth still remains people view and reasons for avoiding is still their opinion. You know it is easy to say money does not bring happiness from the rich man angle. A mother of 3 with no job, deadbeat husband will come and one dirty riff raff boy like Felicity with torn school uniform in those days that used to be crazy in love begging her now pull up with the baddest Benz. Everyone is running to him, he is the center of attention, feeling larger than others and it was obvious madam made the wrong call 😂 my brother, depression is real. Let her avoid reunion biko.

I know of a guy that used to support very well. The moment things wasn’t working for him, admin them didn’t even send him much. and that somewhat kind of shift his attention. This happens everywhere, religions house, friends. People will always rate person if interest and affluence.

I don't agree that drivers aren't respected.
Like I said before, respect isn't giving because of the job u do.
Yes people with low morals or who lack basic home training may disrespect others if they perceive they are better off. I don't disrespect my security or even the aboki that sells condemn. So this idea of making it a norm that drivers should not be respected simply because they are drivers is wrong, and that's genesis the problem with society.
Everyone should be respected first as a human being then by virtue of age, influence, position etc.
I will not respect you more if u were a banker or worked in an oil company or for a govt agency. So if I come to ur shop, I respect you and u respect me. I can refuse to offer someone a service if I feel I am not respected, it's my own priogative. I can also stop patronizing someone if I feel d person doesn't respect me.
As for friends and neighbors, it's ur business if u want to tell them what u do, nobody is under any obligation. I think society builds pressures on us that we are all trying to keep up with.
But for me, I don't profile people, I don't rate anyone, I no send anybody, I give everyone the respect they deserve. And that's the way it should be.

Pearl meet me for Jude place for night. Wa gba one bottle for step down.

I guess that’s almost everyone goals here. Like my boss glitchronix that need to raise money for his electronic business. He may drive for the next ten year to get the money, doesnt mean driving is what he is passionate about.

This flow is honestly making me to laugh. Felicity is an acclaimed cars seller, just as cosmos maduka do sells too. That does not put them on same level.

You are misunderstanding me, sir. grin

Every hustle has the level of respect it can command or get. If I am not proud of the hustle i am doing, because of the respect it gives, I'll walk away.

A cleaner will always get the respect of a cleaner
A conductor will always get the respect of a conductor
A security man will always get the respect of a security man.
Someone cleaning shiit of old people will always get the respect of shiit cleaner.

I entered a public bus today, and i didn't not greet the conductor or driver. He delayed my 200 naira change, and i asked him to give me without adding "please" or "sir".

Now, assume i did this to an uber driver here, he will come and lament on how Nigerians don't respect Drivers.

People who are complaining about respect are actually bigger than the hustle. The solution is to leave.

You see why I said you are going off point. I have friends in pwc, kpmg, uk, usa, government. Even a ready to date lady in the state and osapa. I believe they reckon and respect because they know I’ve get stuffs to offer. I don’t think anyone is talking about respect here, but doin what they are not proud about. A lot of people go to work in this country and nag about what they are doing. You don’t tell them to stop going to work when you’ve not provide something else for them. O wrong boss

I am not hitting any thing off point. This is the comment i decided to start commenting from. Please take note of the bolded. I did not want to quote him because he has ended his submission

1) If you cannot say you are an Uber driver in a circle, it means you need to leave the hustle. A driver is a job and legitimate profession. If you are ashamed to say it, because you know you are better than it, walk away

2) Drivers will always be below the job hierarchy in any country. Is it every Nigerian that insults or looks down on drivers? Which respect do they give Uber drivers abroad rather than "Hello, Hi, Thank you, Have a nice day"?. Which kind respect person dey find, wey e wan prefer driving for abroad than Nigeria? If he said money, I would agree...But respect....? Funny

3) People will look down on drivers because he is a driver. Even the person that typed this will look down on a Danfo driver. A driver is a driver. You cannot have PHd and be a driver, then expect to be highly respected, or respected differently. You are a driver.

So, if driving does not give you the recognition or respect you think you deserve, just walk away, or go abroad where they adore drivers.

I have not said anything off point. That's the quote i decided to respond from

Your off point starts from your previous post about what you do or where you are doing now. I want to believe everyone has goals or wish on the pipeline. If we all start putting it out here it will add to the already boring posts. We are getting dirty doing things because we have no options does not mean we should be proud of it. I am not complaining about the hustle as I careless about anyone respect. I don’t know how much I have to hammer this respect is earn. It has nothing to do with qualifications. As your appearance will be the first thing to take note off. Barbit points are valid and I still stand firm by it. He is only speaking from his own angle and where you stand might be different from his. It is still not your call to tell him to walk away, I didn’t think anyone asked you to when you did. Lot of people over there do a lot of sh*t to get by. From washing bodies to plate, you don’t expect them to come home and start telling you all these. You don’t expect them to be proud of it or ask them to walk away as if you will foot their bills.

I stopped driving and switched to selling spare parts for trailers (Oh yes, i am a graduate). This year, i started a procurement firm and the person mentoring me is my classmate from school that is doing much better than me. I hope to establish 3 more streams of income, and by 50, I should be hustling much more less. I have ruled out Japa for me. So, when people advise people to Japa, I just listen nowadays. Na me know wetin I want

I do not think anybody has advised anyone not to acquire knowledge.

Uber circle will always remain the same. Because you were a Bank ED in the past doesn't change it. The criterion to be an Uber driver is to know how to drive. It is us that brought BSC, LLM, PHd into it.

If anyone feels he isnt achieving his goal or his recognition, walk away, rather than expecting a change from something that cannot.

If you don't go to reunions because of what you do, you can stay at home..but if you want to be confident enough to talk, the hustle must be changed.

Sadly, everybody talking about how the hustle isn't befitting for their status, is still driving. Quite ironic.

I think you are hitting off point. It is not today I’ve been saying if the hustle doesn’t work for you drop you keys. Just as I also say situation determines a lot out here. Im broke I need 20k. Men you have to get the ignition to get the 20. Fashion designer (Yomi casuals) nd tailor (obioma) no be the same. Uber drivers should stop comparing themselves to GIG. There’s distance between the eyes and the noise.

I am honestly less concern with what you do or what you want to be with due respect. They are honestly not my business.

We all got our trials and goes on our wars. Your perception is yours, but each man knows what they are up against. So it’s up to them to decide what’s most important. I don’t make calls for people, so I see no reason why someone should make one for me. I could careless about a graduate or not, to me it is what you were able to make with it that matters. Certificate on paper is never a true test of anyone. And no matter what, where you are coming from will always have an impact on how you reason and view things. ED in a bank or a palm wine tipper from a rural settings may found themselves in same zone. One feel blessed and the other feels backward. Yea! We acknowledge, but it’s in no one’s place to tell them get the F off if they don’t feel complete within. We didn’t set out with same hopes from cradle.

Note: I don’t think anyone is demanding for illusionary respect. We are just blowing things out of proportion. Riders and drivers are both strangers trying to help each other. You don’t know me and I don’t know you, so let’s keep it mutual. You act right will stay right. Distort my peace, I load double of it. Damn respect, I’m cool with peace of mind.
