MoonlightDrive: Can you run your own personal business adopting Rida business model? Rida business model of zero Commission is not sustainable in the long run. How is Rida able to pay the statutory operating license for ehailing companies to the Lagos state government ? Indrive has even increased their Commission to deal with present realities, weak Naira, cost of doing business in Nigeria etc. Boss you get my laughing. Rida is only doing promo to gain acceptance. Indrive did same and start taking commission the moment they start feeling themselves. The problem I have with Rida is how they keep sending a particular trip and inability to glance thro trips. It is so irritating. Beside, they don't have trips like other app's. Bolt is the King of quick request, but suffer head without 1.9 surge and bonus. Eyinola! No winter thus far and look at the price of baby food before going too far on this vac.

Eyinola1: am not a fan of bolt infact their commission dey pain me to d bone but I can say it was still a better deal for me in December, from my calculations I never paid more than 10% commission in December because I make sure I chop the bonuses which cover a larger part of the commission e.g if I gross 50K am supposed to pay 25% com of 12,500...but I always wins 11/10K to cover up, so from my own calculations I will only loose out 2,500 or 1500 as commission from 50K grossed
Meanwhile I am off road till February and once I resumed it will be rider and indrive all d way Bolt for me is now seasonal You are joking! Off road to where? who do you leave the road for? Awon set Atiku. See, eyele cannot ba onile je ni summer, ko di winter ko scamper. You are not going anywhere, dis winter! Is ours and we must all embrace it with open arms.

Glithronix: I salute those wey worked on Christmas Day and still work today 31st and planning to work tomorrow, January 1st. Me I took break on 24th-25th-26th. I resumed on the 27th, worked till yesterday and I am not driving today till next weekend. Make una dey rest and flex small nahh. Well, maybe because I'm a lazy driver and not planning to buy land this year. I like soft level sha. Much respect, bosses.
Happy new year in advance. Terrible finishing for me, but in all I give thanks. Was thinking I'll hit at least 800/900k. Very good chart that I have already seen the end to the point as the major task has been taken care off. My problem start on 25th, got to filling station, queue for like 30 mins. After getting gas, car refused to start. Gosh! Battery problem. If you never had one, you won't understand, begged and begged, but feels like all face is fixed on getting fuel. Called family members to see if I can rush home to pick beatery from other car, my people always off phone in church. Rush to go find jump start and finally get to start the car. After first short trip, position to get second trip, car won't start. Just told myself the truth... don't let this battery drag you to a point you will pay double. All effort to get battery and talk to available battery charger to even loan their battery for the day fell on deaf ear. Took me 4pm before I could get a battery. I know 4pm is still game, but for a day I have so prepared for. I gently admit my fate and call it a day. I try to work on the 26th and from 27th I've been down with sickness, just coming out to chill since then for the first time. We moove next year. Happy new my people. |

CheerfulGiver: This is carrot and stick approach meaning for those that don't understand. This is what Bolt has been doing to you guys. I'm too old for that nonsense
They played on your psychology
The carrot is the bonuses. The stick is the driver score which they use in controlling you. Therefore, you must only go where they send you.
Pearl basically altered his behavior and performance. He knew he was being robbed, but the belief that he'll get the carrot at the end, makes him find ways to evade the driver score For those that cares about there score... once I have taken their bonus and maybe done 20k minus bonus, I switch to indrive. The only good things I noticed is Bolt is sweet on V.I from 4pm your stand a chance of taking 1.9 surge to mainland for 3 hrs. Sweet deal to say the least

The one that seems to piss me off are riders that are always quick to say I can't add any money to a trip. The way I always look at them with straight face like who is asking for your money? Like, I got a request to ijesha rd using cele to connect for 5400, I gave her 6k and she accept. Got to the place, realized it was a delivery and package is going to Abule-Ado. All effort to explain to this girl that she input the wrong address fell on "I don't have any kobo to add, I even pick your price, are you going or not?". Me going to Abule-Ado around 3pm, ohk! Even if you give me 100k, I won't flinch. |

CheerfulGiver: I have always said its obtainable for anyone, that if I can do it, anyone can. All these things I post is just to prove people wrong. The day pearl posted can indriver give you this, I just laughed at his ignorance of indriver psychology. It's about the riders, not what the app is doing.
I even go as far as explaining how I manage my time so I can make such. I don't bother much on this thread since I created the telegram. People who take me serious are all there and we relate regularly. It's really easy with commitment. Energy will always come Nice one... |

ReadaDream: It's not always about the money boss. Although I have not lost money on a delivery trip before.
Twice that the reciever tried it, I made sure they come down for their package. One at Prime water gardens told me to find my way down to 4th floor
Another Skit maker at Boudillon Court Chevron said I should bring his food upstairs, nibo? Alaye come and collect your food. request entered. Rider call and subtle ask he want me to get food at foodies, please can you do that for me and start the trip once you get there. Me, smile and shake my head wetin man eyes they see for this hustle. Oga! Go and get housemaid, I think you need one. End of convo |

Pearl1910: That's the point I am trying to make.
Let's see how it goes during winter, if the riders remain on Indrive with the high price mentality, we will port to Indrive. But if they return to Bolt for cheap surgeless trips, then what choice do we have? If Indrive twiks their algorithm again to pre Ember months pricing then na Bolt sure pass. No matter how bad Indrive price is outside traffic, it will be better than Bolt without surge. Both has purpose, just know when to switch is the basic thing. There was a day, maybe 2 weeks ago when Eyinola said surge is the reason why he is yet to work this December. That was the day surge blew on Bolt. I was doing yaba to Magodo phase 2 7k on Bolt, riders on Indrive are still dragging 3k with driver. If you wake this morning, they may not be surge on bolt, from Berger to island will be around 4k, I guess. On your Indrive this morning you will see one girl that just closed from work begging 7 to 8k on Indrive. No loyalty in this business, we should all be a fair weather friend to all. Riders do same, they compare app before booking. I have done it too riders most of the time, by telling them to stop fooling around. They are booking on Indrive and bolt at the same time. Who do they want to stress? You will get there and be meeting another driver. |

Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 7:17am On Dec 27, 2022 |
Eyinola1: Bolt surge has a big effect on indrive and even rider, riders are forced to increase fare on indrive when they know thr is plenty surge on bolt..on 23rd I was in oral estate set destination to berger but couldn't get trip on time ,I open rider and saw a ride to alagomeji for 4300 and i offer 6K fiam rider accept and started calling and begging me to come because why? The trip was 7K + on bolt and the rate at which surge trip reads in traffic is mad That's just the secret... I am porting back to indrive. May I never do Bolt without a 1.9 surge. Last night I pick Surulere to Ikeja to island 4k. And V.I 7k from Berger something we use to do for 4k. Bolt surge have a mental effect on riders, it has shock so bad that many riders don't even want to open the app again. Any driver that understand this game should know when to switch. Right now Bolt is over, maybe on the 30, 31st, 1st and 2nd they will come alive again. |
