Good day everyone, I’m new to this forum, although I’ve been a guest member for some time now, and I’ve been following this thread for some time now, I just got a Toyota Matrix 2006 car and I will like to use the car for e-hailing, I will like you guys to advise me on we what I need to know before going into the business, the best e-hailing platform to use, what are the necessary documents I need to have to avoid having issues, apart from drivers license, and also tips on how to succeed in this business
I’m a newbie, I will be expecting the reply of experienced drivers, thanks

This right here is way beyond a write up. You will need someone with experience to put you through. You can connect by meeting each other of via phone call.

Little tips:
- make sure you have DL and your car papers are intact
- download Bolt app and register. Go for training if they still do and take your car for inspection
- I recommend Bolt because Indriver is technical somewhat for now
- understand Lagos Rd. Start by knowing how to use google map. Open your map and understand how to connect from island from where you live or how to connect to Mainland from Island.
- if you are good at driving, take the bold step after registration. Pick a trip and let the rider to understand you are not good with roads as a newbie. Don't embark on a trip with a rider that doesn't know his or her way, premium tears loading.
- as a newbe make sure by 6pm you are off the the road, until you start knowing places, understand riders and you can sense trouble trips from far.

I'll edit later biko Don browser. Feeling sleepy like this

This mumu girl ordered me from Anthony village. Got to her location. Called her and she said that's not her location. I asked for the exact location, she said GT. I was just trying to reverse back from the street beside zenith, then she cancelled the ride. As I was about to enter the road to go turn round and get down at Anthony inward palmgroove, her order came again. I was in a little traffic on the road to GT. She called and asked where I was, I said in the traffic along Anthony village road. Before I got there, she cancelled again. As I was approaching the bank, the order came again the 3rd time. I got to GT, entered and parked well, then she came out and saw me and then went in to call the 2nd lady she was with. They wasted time....it was almost about 5 mins wait time. They came out and were trying to open the door. I already locked it. Immediately it entered 5 mins, I just cancelled it. They were hitting the car for me to open. I wind the glass down and asked why they were hitting my car, they said they ordered me. I asked her; "ordered who? Pls don't hit my car again". She checked and saw I had cancelled. She hissed and told the other lady; abeg make we dey go!

Yes, we take shit in this biz but there are some I really can't take
All I can say is some ladies are devil's advocate, lack manners, careless and ignorant. I really can't tell what is living inside them. They will book a trip and saw the time, yet! They will be asking if you can get to them in 3 mins. If you say 10, ha! Too long. How can 10 mins be long. 20 mins they are still on same spot trying to get a trip. I don't even bother myself.

It is in the blood of almost every lady to care for their own and threat others as if they her less of a human. I always wonder how a lady will protect her son, but fight his father with so much venom. But if the son bites from his father blood when married, she will turn around and heap the blame on her son wife. I practically tell any of them around me to learn to threat people equal and as human.

Boss, without Surge, Bolt is useless.. 25% commission for doing what exactly? ... Ogba to Berger is one of the most profitable routes (Keke and Korope) on the mainland, yet the almighty Oluomo /Nurtw takes only 14.5% from drivers. (there's a garage, there's union support services, there's also a community for help). You pay for everything you get on Bolt (training, inspection, verification). So what's the real benefit for driving on Bolt.

On Tuesday, I did ₦7500 gross on Indrive. I still took 5k home after fuel & commission. Wasn't a full day because I had other things to do on the mainland. (I didn't move beyond ogba, Allen and Maryland) No stress at all. I was happy going where I wanted to, everybody was happy (riders, myself and the app). It was true freedom. No BS driver score /activity. No threats embarassed. I relied so much on Bolt last year. I can't believe myself now using Bolt app as a last resort.
Finally, una suppose reason me small thing oo.

The truth is! Bolt is fast dying.
The app is always which even on broad street at 6pm!
No be juju be that!
I spent 11am to 10pm only to gross 17k
Fuel 4k
Bolt Charges 4k

9k

Indriver is a mad house!

Been trying but you see. Just click on price next you will see order taken even if you click the said amount.

Some riders will now reduce price if so many people are on the trip and sometime will still pick it after price reduction.

No be juju be that!
Drivers on Indriver are going to be the doom of the app and it is more of a psycho thing they can't help. Yep! We are all guilty of it. Sometimes I will just be hovering around surulere doing trips of 1300 for 6 mins, but may choose to cross to the island for 2500 and end up spendin hour plus. Some will even pick such trip as low as 2000.

One thing I've learnt from Cheerfulgiven the other day was "time is money". Almost pick any trip as long as there's no traffic. Focus on time and not KM covered. The more trips you do on time, the more money you earn. If you wait for 2 hours because you don't want to pick 4k trip for 3k. The driver that pick 3k trip is already on another 3k trip, while you are busy cherry picking. Las Las riders will have the upper hand in all of these.

I am not in his shoes, so it make no sense trying to figure out what I'm less informed about. I could have said nothing compare to little earning to balance up. Selling of cars is good, but have it own challenges. I have couple of friends that buy, fix and resale. They are not better to an average driver.

The way I see it, whether rider likes it or not, if I happen to be in a situation whereby all I have is a 2000-2002 model car, I would use it to hustle on Indriver. All I need is to make sure the exterior and interior is clean, AC pumping, 'gbedu' blasting....and be of good character. The rest is will sort itself.

There are some cars that are 2000 year make with better interior design than the regular 03-06 Corolla.

Indriver is here liberate anyone that cares to be liberated, hustle with that small car now and save money to get your preferred choice of car.
I have seen someone using small but mighty on Uber and he's doing fine.

Lol abeg wetin this word mean?

You just remind me of one ordeal with a lawyer I picked from Ikeja to Gowon estate. She was really bossy. She just enter car, was on call, sat at the back and was using her hand to demonstrate that I plug her charger for her. I just ignored her.

I started the trip (Indriver) and after a while she finished the call and asked if I didn't hear she's asking me to plug her charger?
I just tell her "madam we both have 2 hands". She said what's that supposed to mean and how will her hand reach the cigarette hole from the back, I said it can reach there if you're sitting at the front. She started yelling, I just dey look am. We got to her location this woman short me 30 naira grin

I collect my money oh. While the whole Issue was going on her neighbors didn't even interfere. Everybody just dey mind their business. It really shows the kind of person she is.

If you have access to a car that indriver approves but passengers won't like or it has no AC, but you want to hustle, you can simply register the car on indriver, and accept only courier trips. Thank me later
And how often does courier trips pop up?

Omo, see drama today oo

My last ride for the night, I picked these two runs girls from The Wheatbaker hotel in Ikoyi to drop of at Lekki phase 1.

When we got to phase 1, they now started saying I should go back towards the gate that they want to buy water, I said no, I don't make stops at night and parked the car.

They now pleaded and I said ok and turned back, then they now started giving me attitude, telling me to wind up, bla bla, that isn't it their money. I said you know what, I'm ending the trip, don't worry about the payment, just leave my car.

That's how these girls said they are not leaving my car ooo, as in, see me see wahala. My carhuhhuh??

Not wanting to escalate the situation by taking matters into my own hands, I told them that I would drive them to a police checkpoint and they were still egging me on, like, "Go call police na"

When the police eventually came, they just start lying and lying and lying.

They were telling the office that they did not tell me to stop anywhere, I almost could not believe it. The genesis of the whole thing and you can just easily lie about it? Unbelievable!

Then they now lied to police that I was reckless and that I drove fast and applied breaks and she hit her head on my seat. I mean can you imagine that shhhh. Me that drove not more than 70km/h on this particular trip.

Okay so if you feel unsafe in my car, then why don't you want to leave na? Even after I tell you not to pay? I mean how stupid is that?

So car is unsafe, but you are telling me you don't want to leave.

Omo I've now almost seen everything in this hustle oooo, my goodness.

I just had to go back home, cause the lies rattled me a bit. I was just thinking, so girls like these can lie about anything? What if they created a more crafty lie that lands me in trouble?

I can't wait to get my dash camera that also records audio, so I can always have video proof of the things that transpired.
I can relate to your ordeal. Last week was a bit crazy one for me, to a point I couldn't get over a rider and felt like giving them a rematch in their territory. Just felt I should let it slide, can't be caught fighting ladies.

1st drama started because I won't accept a stop they didn't indicate. I am already tired of the trip, just want to get them off... from the start to the end it was all about f*ck f*ck, for this Lagos! You go enter me, and he no go pay! Lousy girls without regard for the unknown driver. I've noticed my 1 star is certain in the hands of these people, on getting to drop off. They insist I end the trip right in front of them... I'm like this girls won carry me handicap, dance around, they too kept slowing payment. I realised they won't effect payment until I end the ride grin so I cancelled the trip, serious wahala! Why would I cancel the trip? Told them I didn't cancel, but end as normal, if it is display cancelled on their end they should report to Indriver. Noise took over the air, people have to meddle to settle the issue.

Another one is a trip she sent money less of 100 naira from the actual fare. Saw alert and told her she didn't send the right money, she denied accepting the price and she even gave me extra. I'm like for real, showed her the price on my phone, she picked up her phone and try to show me price, no price found... but that's what she saw. Then ego clash, how much is 100 naira she asked? Told her madam pay your correct fare biko. She try to do transfer and use network as an excuse, reach for the door and say she will send voucher pin to me... Ajala the stubborn boy grin madam no wahala, we d*e here, if it takes tomorrow morning to get network, you are not going anywhere. Don't do mistake of opening that door oo, it is very dangerous. That's where plenty talk starts... you are the one that will lose, instead of you to go and make more money, blah blah blah. I look at her like what's your own business now, am I doing competition with cheerfulgiver. Las Las still same noise and pity cry, people begged me to let her go.

Ps: don't do the mistake of calling any lady ashawo, you just trigger a violence and emotional side of her. The pathetic side of this is somehow somewhat they we ask the question of "you think say I b ashawo". And don't lay hands on women regardless, that action automatically put one at fault.

I've learnt to develop tick skin and asborb their insults. Thinking through emi lo kan and Bu.hari. if those people subject themselves to true analysis and insults they receives daily. They won't show their faces in public again, but they honestly careless.
