Felicity0001: Thank God for safe trip to and fro bro... We bless God.
Me I just entered house few minutes ago... I lost one of my tires on 3MD on my way home at adeniji junction... Na now I know watin izzuo dey try talk all those while. Those adeniji boys are the real hoodlum. My rider (female) had to to path ways with 3k, the boys said I'll pay them 9k but she negotiated with them at 4k and asked me to add 1k to it... Poor me all my riders did tf all tru so I was having just 350box on me... Omo... They took my expensive Dunlop palms oh... One even threaten to burst my glass if i don't leave immediately... Though na them help me change the tire.
It wasn't a funny experiemce at all.

The only path that pained me the most was that my phone that i just fixed last week broke again as I was trying to show them I'm a bolt driver they shouldn't look at my car to judge me o... Along the process na so the phone slide fall for my hands. The thing pain me shall.
And once rhe screen is broken it will only take some day b4 it starts misbehaving again so I'll have to spend another 20k on it again. So they collect money for hoodlums chairman hand Devil don romance Satan Las Las

Ghost1994: Raining season is here again. I’ll share my little experience.
1. Avoid alpha beach road patapata during heavy rain
2. Don’t ever try to enter down orchid road no.
3. Try as much as possible to let your pointers, wipers and your dim light working perfectly before jetting out.
4. Avoid places you don’t really know their flood level.
5. During the heavy rain, find somewhere safe to park if you’ve not gotten a trip yet park your car, relax for about 25-40 minutes after the rain Lagos gutters would’ve been cleared a bit to proceed for hustle. 6. Community road Akoka is a death trap. Keep that at the back of your map.
7. It’s a season to make money but then you have to apply wisdom because rider that’s paying x2 of the money would want you to satisfy them by dropping them at their doorstep. But if by the way(s) you suspect the area is prone to flood, sharply end the trip at the beginning of the street offer a rider 100-200naira for his/her bike/keke fare.
8. Try as much as possible to work within the Circe/areas you know too well.
9. Don’t do 80-100klm during heavy. Abeg if you don’t love yourself we do. Why? Brake doesn’t work well when it’s rainy just a simple logic.
10. Off your car ac when you sight heavy flood in a street or on any road. Why? Because most of our cars are above 10yrs ago and there are some components in which water must not get into on your compressor it’ll damage your compressor quickly.
11. Work smart. Yes work smart— don’t work late start early close early. Because you can’t know all the whole roads in Lagos no matter how many decades you’ve been driving on Lagos road. Working late sometimes is a death trap to damage your vehicle because so many bad potholes you might not be able to see are trap to damage your shocks, tyre etc.
12. If you miss your turn, maybe you didn’t calculate well or map malfunctioning, don’t ever bother to reverse never ever think of that. No matter how much rider pressurize you just be calm and let him or her know you’ll remove some money out of his/her bills for compensation. 200-500 naira is Better to let go than loosing your car to accident or road lions (Lastma/Taskforce)
13. Never drag road with trailer or tankers. Those people doesn’t see on a normal day not to talk of rainy days. Be wise don’t let rider sweet talk you to be saying they’re late blablabla you’re not the cause of their lateness.
I’ll share my own work ethics
- I work basically on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it’s a rushing day.
- I take Thursday off to relax and focus on my course
- Friday yes and Saturday I start working around 2pm why? Well I feel like that’s when the people started rushing out.
- I work on Sunday but I avoid island ajah,Lekki and the rest once it’s 1pm why? When you notice your app you’ll see it’ll all white once is getting to 2pm because riders don Dey house but on like mainland there are many churches. It’s a wisdom.
- routes I avoid on week days are:- 1. Egbeda, Ikeja in the morning is dead, ikotun igando, ekoro road, command road, Iyana ipaja, aboru, lasu, okoko, festac, mile 2, oshodi, Ikorodu never, sangotedo hell no, I can only drop a worthy trip at the airport and jet out immediately I avoid siting and waiting for unrealistic trips in airport unless I’m lucky if I’m driving out and I get a trip.
After Opic Berger I always avoid any trip going after Berger.
How do I cancel? Bolt shows me where I’m going so whenever I’m sure the area is part of my listed dead zone, I click on arrived, passenger phone is not working or passenger ask me to cancel. It’s work like magic on iPhone but not with androids. It’s help me avoiding any conversations with rider.
Note:- I accept every trips coming to my phone no matter how dead it is but I cancel once I feel is not safe for me and my car.
I try as much as possible to select the trip(s) above 1500. How will you know a trip coming to your phone is more than 1500? Any trip be it surge or no surge above 8klm is practically more than 1,500. Note I don’t care how much you collect because of bonus but all I know is that the money is above 1500.
I don’t rush myself any day anytime my target as a car owner per day is 5k for savings 3k to start hustle next day and 2k for feeding/dropping at home.
Why 5k? It’s my logic and it’s been helping save maturely. I used to make x3-4 of my savings sometimes but then it’s just my saving culture I’ll still save all have made. I’ll just called it discipline.
How did you manage cash savings? I store my cash savings somewhere in my living room where I don’t tell anyone and on Thursday Whenever I dropped my son in school, I head straight to bank and deposit to account I don’t have atm or internet banking.
How did you manage your car(s) to serve you well? I avoid most Lagos mechanics 90%. Whatsoever happened to my car like for example let’s say shocks is bad, I will drive my car to market park and pay 5hundred naira I’ll go and get my new shocks, I know how much is leakage, shocks, brake pads, thyroids, fluid, bulbs etc. all I need is to change I don’t manage.
What can make a car to last in these hustle? Cars are like human being, you have to maintain them. I Do a daily routine before I jet out in the morning because I’ll be off sometimes on 9-12 hours on wheel. I check everything I needed to check before jetting out.
I make sure I avoid anything bad route. I don’t carry loads that doesn’t fit in my car trunk. My car is design to carry 4 and yes mini 4 not heavy make ups madams going to party and try to squeeze themselves in my mini sedan no! I don’t carry them I don’t want wahala.
Also, anyday mechanic is fixing one thing or two in my car, I always make sure we do it together. I don’t supervise but we handle it together because mechanic are humans too they might forget to tighten 1 bolt which I’m not perfect either but 2-4 heads is better than 1.
How do you manage a rider whose street is bad and you consider picking him/her? Well the logic i used is straightforward. Many of dead streets have alternative like bike and keke. I’ll put a call through:-
Me: Sir/ma good morning this is the Uber ride you ordered Rider: Good morning I’ll be expecting you. M: sir/ma I’m sorry getting to the street now, my car has hit the ground severally it’s a low Corolla/Honda please I don’t mind since you don’t have load I’ll pay for your bike or marwa.
Reasonable rider who value life and property will agreed and even said don’t worry just give me few mins. But i manage if it’s elderly person or rider mentions she’s pregnant I’ll go BUT if rider acting somehow I won’t go.
How can someone makes more saving in this hustle? 1st is Gods grace, 2 is your car is your tools once she doesn’t give you any problem(s) you’ll make savings.
Advice to newbie:- never allow rider to sweet talk you to drop him or her at unreasonable location. Avoid airport just drop off only. Never follow one way or brt lane even if you’re carrying buhari daughter, don’t try to reverse on the highway if you miss your way yes rider will shout but keep calm, make sure you confirm your credit alert before allowing rider off in your car, if you don’t have change offer to transfer airtime as their balance some will say yes and some will tell you to keep the change but remember it’s their money, use rider app to calculate the estimated price of the route you’re heading-it’ll help you determine if the route worth it coupled with the traffic, never fight physically with your rider some are walking ghosts, pay your commission once it’s getting above threshold, read signs, ask riders questions if the map is malfunctioning, join Facebook/WhatsApp/telegram groups to learn more about people’s day to day experiences. Last but first pray to God and follow your instincts.
PLAN FOR FUTURE AND REMEMBER THE HUSTLE SHOULDNT BE FOR A VERY LONG TIME ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B.
Bye for now
God will continue to help us all Ghost1994 The way I am seeing you like this, you may drive for the next 20 years and you won't know it is called peace of mind and own pace. It is wisdom to know when to make move, tho no one is perfect. May God keeps perfecting our ways. |

All of us including the settee ... that’s why we have plenty motivational speakers in Nigeria telling you to dream big and do the impossible
D lion in me broke down for 4 days pursuing 1M I like the way you quote the 3 of them. It is a good thing they find motivation in posting dashboard and see anyone against it as enemy. The only part I don't understand is, eversince the dashboard noise. Why have they not post their dashboards? It is callous for someone to lift you and it's your turn to lift others, then you start acting all wise, like the one that lifted you is a fool. If what he is doing is right? Do you people have problems with doing the right thing? Men! I don grow, don't really think I have energy for some stuffs right now. Anybody that can talk, should be able to do the working. Glithronix: Una go see say I no dey talk about challenges, rude riders, rough periods, hoodlumic traits. I know all of you bosses here know wetin I mean by all this cos you're all in the same field. From fake alert, to rude small small girls and boys, talkative riders, bossy riders, olosho/runs girls, forming girls and boys, controllers, chairmen and chairwomen. Shrine boys, etc. How many I want talk finish self. If I start to talk, the thing wey my eyes have seen you no go wait, my brother and sister you no go wait (panranran)
Furthermore, Lagos has a looooong way to go on infrastructure. Lagos roads are damnn bad mehn! How can we have these roads everywhere in Lagos and be claiming city? Annoying part is that of the speed bumps some streets and estates have, those bumps alone fit spoil your car legs. On top wetin now? Even if it's for security purposes, should bumps be that high ni? Even some local streets self dem creat those high bumps wey be say if your car no space up well of the ground, it will be brushing the under. You will be taking some riders to their destination and have a smooth ride, when you're to enter their streets like this, you go vex say which kind road be this? Bosses, I have shown a lot of hoodlumy to many riders oh. When I see a rider like this, I can quickly sense who you are, na from there I dey start display my hoodlumism so that you go know who carry you. I've got 1% of bad behavior on my driver's profile. I know say ma some rude girls wey promised me 1 star be that cos when I dropped them (4 of them) at their destination, they begged me to take one of them back to main road - I showed dem stubbornness and maturity - dey come dey show me say I no fit help fine girl for just a ride to main road? Packaging wey I don see and chop tire na him una wan dey entice me with. I asked dem out the car say I don end una trip. Runs girls lol. During the fasting period, my eyes see laps and breasts tire. Runs girls too plenty for this Lagos. Some guys wey dey form area, me no dey even send dem, my reactions alone dey make dem know say this one no send. I go claim area gee for some guys from the beginning once I sense your type, make dem know say street don meet street. Dropped 2 guys at airport, they did transfer, my spirit just say make I ensure alert first before I let dem go, money no enter after a wait of like 5mins, omoh, I follow dem drag say money no enter, dey later paid cash. During my waiting, those airport towing truck just came all of a sudden put chain for my tyre, ah, una dey craze? Na drop off I dey do, can't you see? The look I gave one of dem self, him gave me back, una dey craze. One young guy I picked from Ojota side in the evening, he carried 2 small girls. One of dem enter front carry leg on top dashboard, I tell am my friend, carry that leg down and use your seatbelt, she obeyed sharp sharp - small girl come see as she open her market (tué). Na this guy did fake transfer when I dropped dem at Magodo. I tracked him back collect my money. Some area for this Lagos no good for car. On top one road, bikes, keke napep, danfo, korope, trucks, dey drag space. I never see how person go drive on this Lagos roads wey dem no go kiss him bumper or body self. Even as a private and seldom car users, u go see scratch on the car sha ni. How many I want talk self. Film dey for this hustle and it's very interesting. When you here bosses here say THIS HUSTLE NO BE FOR THE FAINT HEARTED PEOPLE, you go know when you get on the field. Much respect, bosses. How many I want talk self? I don laff tire like this... the way I dey see You, You go still write book the hustle no easy atall, but with time you go draw your own roles. That's why I always say all man to wetin work for em. Make one person no come dey tell me this is the best way, our body acceptability is not the same. |

Pearl1910: Oya make we dey drop dashboard daily from tomorrow. If u r game, I am game. I need some motivation. Let's see Bolt/Uber and Indriver which one is easiest to make money or set a challenging target and meet that target. Any hard working Driver that uses strictly Uber can also join. Let's put this argument to bed forever.
As for resting and being happy, I have told u plan urself. I drove through out last week knowing I want to b home with my family this holiday period...this work can be challenging but that freedom and flexibility is invaluable for me. Nobody can intimidate me and I can't envy Aliyu Waba or anybody cos I am making my own money. What gave u the impetus, the audicity to tell me how and when to drive. Are you the one paying my bills? didn't you read when I gave details of my Monday to Saturday day to day trips? I have driven for almost 12 days straight now without a day rest. Pearl1910: Yes, but if u r comparing Apps then don't include fuel. Cos we don't know d type of car he drives n the type of car u drive. Shebi people they use Lexus ES 350, u can't compare their earnings with someone driving Suzuki na.
Now he said he made 28k if u remove commission + booking fee that's around 21k Net, how much will u make on Indriver to have this Net? From my calculation u will Gross about 24k before u end up with the same Net. This is strictly App based, not type of car, driving pattern, or traffic related. They say you like argument and you no deh even try to prove them wrong. What's the value of using Gwagon and after netting your so called 21k, you use 10k to fuel car. Biko is gas money your money? Even if we use the same car, can you use gas of 3k to gross 28k? I love you, so I will let this slide. Haba! Why run kitikiti and claim to b that smart only to end up dashing NNPC the money? I don't like being angry on Tuesday's night. Tools will forever have a toll on your earning. Just like a guy that carried me saying he uses gas or 2k to make 5k on Bolt (Honda Accord). I didn't even say a world as I crack a smile, saying in my mind, your suffer nah promax I once use a car that I can branch filling station thrice a day. No how I'll go to the island I won't go to the filling station. If trip no carry me reach mu doorstep, i ain't going home, but this my Korope, full tank b carrying me for 3 days job and that was my style during fuel shortage we recently had. I use it for 3 days, dedicate one day for hustling of fuel as I am not a fan of keeping gas at home or anywhere. |

Pearl1910: So u don't pay commission on Indriver? Moreover u shouldn't remove gas when comparing like this cos that is subject to type of car and other factors.
I don't want to add that Indriver is a game of luck, so ur targets aren't guaranteed even when u have the strength to do the work.
Hardworking drivers on Bolt do nothing less than 30k Gross daily Luck ko, bet naija ni... Aliyu Wabba ASUU is still on strike now daily grossing is no longer 20k, it has shift to 30k. Weldone! For your information hard working drivers on Indriver can gross 40k daily. Shabi nah make we use hand write figures. Drivers deh say una deh gross 90k in 3 days you guys are the strongest human on earth. It shall not be well for poverty, it has a way of screwing/messing a man''s mind up and reasoning. Did I drive today? Yes! Was I happy driving? No! They are people, families, lovers, friends that sat at the comfort of their home this holiday and we gladly resume work and still sign that contract. But me? If I no drive for 2 days like this e go b like all d money for Lagos don pass me, my mind will b so divided thinking if I should or not. Aliyu Wabba deh calm down, if your tools for the job is not serving you, change it, you can't lay that frustration on me. I have my own bothers. Felicity I can only advice you to remove that your dashboard plus offline. An average hard working driver should at least do 30k in 5 day, that's 150 in a week and rest for 2 days. So we are expecting 600k from you, nothing less. |

If we tòo nice dash Indriver 1k out of the 16k. 15k is not that bad for peace of mind and what is obtainable for hard working drivers 4/5 days in a week, as me don do 16k deh my bed like this. |

Saturday was a bad day for me on that island but las las I thank God because my two offline trips landed me abt 35k... One small little boy go jam my fender on the traffic along the expr road... Friday night is bazooka, any trip before it land, it is long gone. |

Felicity0001: And what can the driver do about that? Go back to where you dropped them and beat them up?
Indriver to me would have been the best app to work with had they up their price to compete with others.
How on earth would an app allow rider to offer 2500 from Ajah to Alakuko? How Yes it's on to the driver to accept or reject but is it supposed to be allowed.
I dont blame them shall, rather I blame the government-Nigeria who allow them operate in their air space without any form of licence whatsoever. If they re asked to pay 20m for operation license no one will tell them to up their prices so that they can increase revenue for themselves We are talking about transperancy and nothing more, but it seems the price is beating you down. On Indriver you can maintain your rating easily with less or no ado. And about pricing, what you should ask yourself is how much do I want to be making weekly? Bolt goes off and on with surge, but one thing you guys fail to understand Indriver is far better compare to Bolt without surge and if you know how to drive again't traffic, then it is perfect. You have to do 20k on Bolt to net 10k, but 14 to 14.5k is ok to net that same 10k. Yea! Riders may tend to twist price on Indriver, but which human in his or her right sense will pick Ajah to Alakuko for 2500? If you have followed my last write up, you would have seen Surulere and Yaba more and I don't go below 2400 to 2800. Even did Lere to Ikeja 2400 under 25 mins yesterday. We don do both Uber and Bolt before, those trips no deh pass 1200. I still remember doing Berger to Lekki phase 1 on Bolt for 1800, I try to make these people see it was app glitch. Nothing concern them, I drove down back home from island with vex. I remember on Uber and Bolt, Lere to Mariner is 1k and VI is 1.7k... We did all these when it wasn't beneficial, waiting for surge days or bonus to compliment. So let everyone do what works for them. You can't force me to be online when I don't want too or go to where I don't want to be all because I am chasing bonus. I know how many time they scratch my bumper in the name of chasing bonus. Today will no deh use map drive again, just update best route, fire down. Not loyal to any app, if I find some peace in anyone again, I switch.

davit: Indriver rating is damn transparent. I wonder why other ehaling apps can't be like that. 100% straight forward. The problem is the riders now, most are cunny set of people. Nah letter I say make I go post and go back home, that is how I say let me on the app and see what's up. Nah road I they like this, they are just using Lekki trip to lure me. |

Otunbalai: ...
I have check it .....even mechanic has check it for me, they all confirm it's working well Have you try starting it without the radiator cover head to see if the content will spill out? If it doesn't spill out, then it's not just gasket. If you are sure your fan is blowing well and in the right direction. Focus on the water pump. |
