Pearl1910: Borale is not Half engine. Borale is full engine minus attachments like alternator, kick starter, coils, etc some full engine even come with AC compressor. So because they will remove all those parts, they will reduce the price of the engine for you.
Half engine on the other hand is the lower half of the engine block carrying the crankshaft, and pistons. Basically, it's d part of the engine below the top cylinder gasket. And doesn't include the things on the side like waterpump, oil pump, timing chain/belt, pulleys etc As you can see, I asked before making submission, but that's not the case. The issue on ground need to be weigh very well before taking steps. |

eyinola: thanks for ur input bro, yea borale is half engine You welcome boss, but think thro it well. Borale is just them removing few parts like compressor, alternator, kick or coil, pending on how you can drag it with them. It is almost like getting another engine and you can as well sell the old engine. That way 2 years assurance if you get a good one. I can't guarantee a repaired engine can last 2 years, and better luck they don't forget plier inside. |

samobaba4u: Sir, wisdom no go kee u. That's why it's good to seek for information/advise most of the time. I followed this thread for almost 2yrs before I finally venture into the hustle and I thank God I did. My baptism name is Wisdom don't mind me oo... I believe one should be responsible for his or her decision, but before you stamp it, make wide consultation. The other day my a/c was doing anyhow, I even ask Pearl1910 regardless of our ongoing banter there's always a new insight to understanding when we ask questions. Bishop & Tojahh knows I can ask one question in 10 different ways tho, Tojahh nah Olodo, that was how my fan stopped working one day at VI, he tell me nah one wire, battled with it for long until I check the fuse box and found out, it was the fuse |

eyinola: exactly Boss if I say I am not feeling whatever you might be feeling now, it's a lie. I didn't work today of all day, my spirit man low as we don plan how to dice today. So I can tell what it means when you wish is not popping up as wished. We can only hope for the best in time like this. I read through the half engine thing and fixing yours. I don't know if half engine is what they call borale? But if half engine is same thing as borale, I'll advice you go for it on the ticket of you having the financial strength for that. I have done such on two cars and they are way perfect till date, 1 has already spent 3 years and they use it to travel anyhow, we still took the car to the village in December and it just did another village wrap last week. Anything that have to do with mech fixing engine? Is in the hands of the might one. |

samobaba4u: If he gets a loan of #2.5 ,why should he give it to that slavemaster? For a Naija used car? He should use the loan to get a Tokunbo Honda civid which will server him better and more profitable for him That's where sense fail most, not the person in question per say. Lot of people want to start big, some prefer camry or corolla. I know of a friend that like clean cars, big ones. Four years now, he has been in and out of cars, never own one for four years. People should always learn to start small and keep upgrading. Imagine if he has approach a bank for 1million and probably family/friends for 200k to balance for a reasonable car a year ago. He may have pass the stage of not having his own car today. |

SavageResponse: In a HP arrangement the owner is at liberty to decide where the asset would be kept during the duration of the contract especially if he is not convinced that the driver's place of residence is not secure.
The general terms of a HP agreement can vary depending on circumstances and what the two parties agree to.
During the duration of the HP agreement the asset in question still fully belongs to the owner until the driver pays the last installment! 100% there is no standard for any agreement beside the clauses they both signed and sealed. That is why one need a lawyer or understand the clauses very well before signing it. This is why I can't fault the owner, but there is something called "utmost good faith" in contract. Where both parties come with both and reasonable conclusion to make a contract work. What that man signed remain me of the movie "Mission Impossible" and the owner seems like an advantage taker. |

peacefulhome: I don't know how to do such oh. His an old school mate of my husband. They just got connected few months back so you can imagine. Do you know that the partner almost gave out the car to another driver two weeks ago . If not for God . The new driver came to sign documents for hire purchase 3 million ( same car oh) . Only for him to first request to drive the car around to check . When he saw the car , he told the partner straight alway that he can't drive this car because he knew the previous driver and the driver never told him he had dropped the car. The partner then asked so you know so so person? That was how we got to know the evil this idiot was up to. Police was involved before he allowed the guy to make use of the car. I was told his Making effort to get a bank pay off for him while he pays radually to the bank. Now my question is this, will that solve the issue? Will it not get more complicated going such route? This is a very complicated situation. Even if you find a way to make him drop the car, do you have a car for him? I would have say you should talk to your oga, let him be the one to talk to his friend and make him see reason why this thing can't work. Before going that far, you need to understand how much he has paid, balance left, the current condition of the car and what's the bank deal like. |

peacefulhome: Have been trying to get the logic to how a grown-up man will accept a car worth 4million under Hire -purchase. Every week he has to bring 40k or he would not be allowed to pick the car the following week. No matter the distance, he has to return the car to his partner location every blessed day. To crown it all, payment must be done every Friday . He drives the car Monday to Thursday, while his partner makes use of the car for personal needs every Friday. Imagine ? Friday of all day. Failure to remit 40k when expected means he dare not come around on Saturday to pick the car. Pls, with all this restrictions can the driver still meet up with out default? Same driver is to repairs and service the car when necessary. Some people are just heartless and wicked. I wish someone can deliver this man from this slavery contract he went and put himself. People are suffering in this country. Every week he had to borrow some cash to meet up with payment. Now I heard he want to get loan from one of this banks so as to pay up and get full ownership of the car. Hmm. God bless all the responsible men out there. You shall never labour in vain. Happy weekend my people. This kind of make me feel sad. I don't know who to blame, the owner of the car or the driver. Regardless of not being privilege to the terms binding them, I think walking away should be part of the contract, sighting force majeure as ground to walk away. 40k from Monday to Thursday is not feasible. The contract pollutesm and provoke the tot, I don't even want to analyse if there's any positive side to it. Please if you can talk the man out, save his soul. |

Glithronix: I) I suppose laugh to this but hell NO! I won't. I will only encourage you as I be new pilot as well. iI) For your leg pains, it's normal cos you're new to it. It's just like hitting the gym for the first time, you will have body pains the following day, but if you continue, you won't feel the pains anymore cos your body is now used to it. iii) The one I no like na the 25k bonus you missed. It's just 40 trips within 7 days. This is very painful. Definitely a wasted effort, stress and time. This really pain me die. iv) You should try and always update your G-map. Using G-map to drive requires study and understanding. You must study and understand how to use the map to destination. Since I started driving, I don't miss checking my G-map update on Google play store every 2 days. You see that bolt inbuilt map, abeg no go near am ooh me self up till today, I no understand how to use it to destination. Wallah, I salute all the drivers that use it to destination, I dey always wonder how dem dey use it, how do dey even know how to use it. Lol v) For you to be missing sleep, probably you're not organized. We wey dey fast self, we dey sleep, wake up, do necessary things and hit the road when ready. You probably just jumped into the driving without any plan, organization and schedule.
All in all, I was able to quickly understand and adapt to the e-hailing driving because I've learned a lot from here before I got a car. This thread has really helped me a lot. I see you winning Ballor d'Driver pretty soon than expected. You are doing good

I say make i rest after two days
But two things I've noticed after 2 days is
1. women order rides more than men.
2. The number of hours you work won't determine the amount of money you'll make. Easy boss... I'm so use to pick female to the point of picking male. It is just somewhat odd for me. Gentlelife50: But he will always be adding one car to the fleet per year? Fleet nah fleet o I don tire, today comes with everything good, bad & ugly. Took my worst trip on indriver today Highlights : pick a rider from magodo to surulere, she had like 3 mins stop and pay 3500 at the end of the trip not even up to 1 hr. Hmmm Pick another one from Penisular Gardens to Lekki county. I so need trip that I don't care about the price, I just want to leave the war zone. The girl acted up with time that I didn't even bother to return her greetings. Got to destination, she already knew she messed up. Told boy friend to transfer 3k instead of 2k. Immediately I go another VI 2800 around 4pm. Check map, 40mins... I didn't even bother to add anything, cos I was already thinking how to blow to VI, tot grace found me, not knowing my cane is waiting for me. Got to Adeola Odeku and saw surulere 2000, I gave dem 2400, they accept. Rider says they want to carry 9 cartons of wine. I ask them to make everything 3k then, let's roll. Ha! Oga is company and its the receipt they will use to pay. I felt like all these company things, well today has been good, let me just find my way home. Embark on trip, got to Bonny, I still can't figure the devil that pushed me to face eko bridge, instead of the regular carter i use to follow. I hear em for eko bridge. 3 good hours rider self feel em, I just dey change em for them. Like I will turn back to pick up o, I don't think i can continue this. From 51 mins now 3hrs. He can't even say a word. The bad: trip to deliver cloth 2400, got to destination, Aunty transfer 2200. Called her and told her that wasn't the right fare, she formed unaware. No wahala do my 200, I'll do it. After 4 hrs, I'm yet to see my 200, text aunty on whatsapp. She flipped, is 200 my problem blah blah. Ma, please send my 200, no energy for long talk. Saw 200 with photo What a day! |
