peeps4u: I think you have a 'beef' with pearl1910 originally. I wonder where the sudden anger came from. Because this your post and Dru's about life somehow aligns with pearl's. Just as you agreed with Dru23, Pearl always encourages comrades on this hustle and also makes himself an example, as he started with driving and now a cars owner on the platform.
And he has been mostly decent in arguments, even if he has totally different opinion(s). Boss I'll fight you with combination of Ogun and Ayelala this morning. If I write here that I have 7 cars on ehailing and I make 10k within 5hours, does it translate to that in actual world without a proof? Let's kick the ballistic, they have always been silent war beneath our breath here. I could remember when Baz001 claimed he travelled, some persons never congratulate him. I was like damn! This banters are they for real? Well! To say congratulations is not by force, but it tells a lot about what we habour for people we barely even know or phantom. I don't know you for instance, never seen you, I may have helped you, abuse you or the guy that just pass me now and I didn't even realise you were the one, so what's the heap of anger all about? Let's not just put it on Bishop, few characters does that shit, they hold on and take stuffs up here real serious. But for me? It is whatever, my time is too precious to be caught in the web of not being a jolly fellow with everyone. I have no hard feelings for anyone, we may get ruff, bile sprung, rage and emotional, but it should end like real men do. The only reason I am concerned about Pearl1910 which I have stated here is only for him to be mindful of the information he gives. I don't want to say this, but for crystal, pardon me to say it... people take the information here as a yard stick for their decision. Imagine someone that has worked for 10/20 years for one Lebanon company and he got a pension of 2m. Now he came here and read he can get civic 800k, he decide to buy two and give it out, reality sets in, one problem or the other from fan today to transmission tomorow, gasket issue to engine ringing. Lot of peeps face this issues here, they may not talk, who wants his shit to be out in the public space like that? I could remember my boss with Ford like that with all due respect, he have to let go of ehailing. I have seen peeps that leave ehailing for Korope. I am not saying we shouldn't encourage, just be mindful, people are making life decision that will change their fate. It is imperative to understand all these things. I even have someone that told me last week he wants to sell his car and start haulage. As cocky as it may sound, I don't play pretense... take this from me, not everyone wish you good here and it sicken the mind to see how we could be so mean to people we barely even know. |

Pearl1910: Bishop my guy...I like u. But this nonsense post don drop my respect for u. I can travel abroad as single man anytime I want to. I will not need friends or family support to do that. Don't be so low in IQ to think that anybody that travels abroad is richer than people in Nigeria. Don't ever compare me with anybody again. When I said to Pope "ur work and my work no be mate" I meant the way I work and d way he works are completely different, therefore we will have different results. I didn't mean I am better than him or richer than him. U dont know me, what makes u think I am living in penury...oh because I am an Uber driver abi? Well, I will b foolish if I stereotype or rate people I know nothing about except for what they do for a living. Dr K , Dr Ben of Automedics, Gazzuzz and Radautos are all mechanics like you, Will it not be foolish of me to think they are like some smelling, unkept and poor road side mechanics that I used to see? If I yab u back now, u go cry then maybe use oshodi thugs to treathen me, not that I care o, but I rather remain civil. So my friend, everybody has his path in life, stop comparing people based on ur perception of success or what u can see physically.

Even when u go hospital doctor go ask u "how r u feeling?", any symptoms? Before him write test for u. Odogwu, if u feel something is wrong with ur AC, take it to that street opposite Ogba Shopping Arcade. The guy will fix it for u Which one is if I feel? If something is not wrong, will I be begging you. Small thing you head go deh swell Anyway as I was abt leaving island around 4 the weather was kinda cool and I notice some sought of overheating, so I put off the ac as it was working as at then. Parked and check and realise maybe the thermostat is malfunctioning or the radiator cap is not tight. I sha fix it well and told my rider no ac since I have like 50 mins traffic, I don't want to get stuck on the road. She oblige, I drove the car from phase 1 to ikoyi, no wahala, turn ac on and it's not cooling. Came down to check what up and saw this. Drove it home without ac. This morning I put it on, ac is workin extremely fine, but that sign of revving drop when ac is turned on does no do like that and it does no show any sign when put off. |

Itsrm: Your AC is freezing. My guess will be your evaporator thermostat.
There's a small hack, turn off the AC and allow the fan alone to blow at full speed then turn on the AC again after sometime.
It should cool before it freezes again. I will take it to ac man later in the day. Thanks boss |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 10:32am On Apr 13, 2022 |
Gentlelife50: I am sure that AC is working nonstop, it's supposed to pick and pause from time to time. I guess the thermostat is the culprit, if it continues like this the AC compressor will soon pack up the ice on that hose will block the passage. That's why it's supposed to pause at some point and allow for it to defrost, take it to an electrician. Thanks boss |

dru23: In the lyrics of Renegade by Jay-Z .. Jay-Z spit do you "fools" listen to music or skip through it .. Am not implying that you are fool .......
What am implying is that I use my self as an example in the list of the billionaire , am not saying am a billionaire ......
On the list i mentioned are guys that are self made billionaires .. If you go to the forbe list of self made billionaires or millionaires you will find the guys I mention are there...... Funny enough Jay Z that I quoted is self made billionaire .. He started from the Rockefeller record label with Dame dash and other guys to form the label. Jay-Z didn't get rich from music, but he used music as a launching pad to go into other area of business. Dr Dre did and so many others like them ...
Myself as an example. I use uber business as a launching pad to go into other parts of business. I can recall when I started the engine oil business. Someone was telling me that I can't compete with another seller because am not a mechanic etc .. But now I can't even keep up with demand......
My point here is that those are doing uber . can also use uber as a launching pad to go into other area of business.. Some drivers started on rental to owing their own cars , while others were able to be fleet owners.. Some were able to meet people on the job and were able to get jobs for what they went to school for etc ..........
You fail to read and comprehend what I posted. All you saw was the list of billionaires I posted with quotes. But u fail to read the very last person on the list. Which was dru23
At the end of the whether those billionaires got help from their parents or came from wealthy family. These people worked hard and put in the time. These guys work from the bottom to the top. They started from somewhere ..... That is my point That Jayz u call lyk this

Pearl1910: Is this still an analysis or u r wishing someone death. Ehailing drivers even have d opportunity of stepping out of their cars after every trip. Who says u shouldn't stretch ur legs while waiting for your rider. Same cannot be said for interstate drivers. Lagos to Calabar is atleast 15 hours only one stop to rest n eat at Benin or Asaba. Same thing for Lagos to PH, Abuja, Jos etc so according to u all these The young shall grow, ABC, GIGM drivers die before their time abi. Ore! Ore!! And the drivers don't drive everyday. Tho, I'm not supporting any assertion. An average baba Iyabo stressless, he sit at his park with his fine ironed native or plain trouser with polished pam to fit. He eat his Amala, sleep or gist with colleagues till request come knocking. Maybe their cars are always their doom. You see an average Uber driver? Pressure is always written over them you can tell how their day is going, mere looking at them and the way they keep staring at their phones. And if one manage see 1000 trip among 6 drivers, the way he will drove majestically and stare at other drivers, you will think he just won a jackpot

Muhammadson2020: The truth of the matter is that this hustle is longer what it used to be. This is what it looks like now

February : Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save
March:Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save April: Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save

September Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save
October Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save
November Chop money, pay commission, pay bills, repair car with nothing tangible to save
December: make reasonable money, Big earnings, good fares, after expenses you have something to keep.
Out of 365 days in a year, you only make reasonable money in December.
Wear and tear would have affected your car so bad, Car would have depreciated
you wasted 335 days of your time driving people around Lagos on peanuts fares with little or no enough profit to save
There is no growth on the business. You re stagnant and in a rat race. Year in year out nah where u dey u dey.
You invested ₦3million car in the business: 2 years you haven't recoup half of your investment; all the money you are making are going into commissions, expenses, bills, repairs, mechanic, fuel stations and Law enforcement agencies.
You risk your health and wellbeing, you are involve in alot of stress and effort of driving long hours, still yet, you are underpaid chicken change. Once in a while they try to manipulate price with surge so as to keep u driving for them for years.
You take all manner of insults from small small girls that old enough to be your daughter.
This is slavery not Business they portrayed it to be.
If Nigeria happens to be an Arabian nation, all these foreign App coy that has come to enslave people. I swear their offices would have been burnt down by now.
It's time government step in and regulate all these nonsense. These companies using Nigerians as slaves to enrich themselves.
Enough is enough Foreigners using Nigerians has always been since the days of Lebanese, one just have to know when to pull out. About pricing? That thing is dicey. If the price is high, they will be decrease in riders and the more drivers have to jostle for available trips. That's why we have surge which regulate price. What I felt they should do is just have at least a standard for a particular location and distance, scrap the 500 to 1k as lowest trip |
