Don't mind them joor ..... My own drivers are doing well and deliver on time. The only issues am having now is spending money on repairs. Once those repairs are fix . I should be ok again...

And also my drivers are married and responsible men. So there mind set will be different from the ones that are complaining
Nah so your own they be, until bubble burst and you start serving them mama's pot. They are making money, 4 cars equal 100k in a week at 25k each. In a month you should have 400k and yet you are finding it hard to spend money on repair? In peace o

Those babas no dey overwork themselves for peanut, na our ehailing come pour sand sand for their garri.
Normally they just sit at their parks and gist till passenger come, that gisting alone is healthy and the kind of food they eat too (not gala and bigi cola). They can do just 3 trips in a day and be very comfortable

That's the fact, I am not trying to sound politically correct. U r using Indriver and used want to contribute to discuss on Bolt/Uber. U better wake up or continue to sleep with your Indriver. There is no way u will go out in d morning 7am and close by 7pm in the evening that u will not Net 10k. No f*cking way...there must be an explanation for that, but certainly not because there are no rides.
What do u mean we don't talk about the hurdles, what do we then talk about here everyday?
Even the Bazoo u r tagging knows 10k net a normal thing, but his own wahala is that it's not consistent and u can't add driving in ur CV.

Do u know how many Newbies I have introduced since January this year? They are all doing well and surpassing the targets sef. Newbies haven't experienced mad rush, they don't know how juicy it usually is towards end of the year, and they are contented with what can be made now. It's old guys that were making 20k - 40k daily in Ember period that are complaining now.
I take exception to d statement that I am misleading people. On the contrary u r the one misleading people if u say it's not worth it cos u don't have d experience or knowledge to make an informed contribution as a result of driving exclusively on Indriver.

Even If I choose to talk about the good and easy part of the business only, u sef pick your side and talk about the ugly and challenging side of the business...nobody will counter u provided what u r saying is d truth.
Bros, your points are watery for real. Doing Indriver or not is not the subject here biko, regardless of that I hope you saw what Felicity posted about the difference in Bolt and Indriver the other day, I hope you saw what Bit posted too? But I am not here to drag which app is better. Call me inexperienced all you like, I'll take that as compliment.

When you say netting 10k daily 7am to 7pm, that's like grossing 13500 everyday. I just want you to know this shit is relative, they are days your hope should be high and they are days you just have to know what you are doing. No gain saying surge has not been what it used to be on Bolt lately, I don't have to be on the app to know that, no gain saying V.I is not what it used to be around 5pm lately, not even now that companies are finding it hard to power their plant and ask most worker's to work from home. Some driver end up watching NUGA games inside Unilag yesterday.

Boss with over 3k trips on Bolt, please give me some accolades... Ramadan is coming, we all know business is not always as usual during this season. Mind! I am not saying things won't flow, but all drivers should expect the unexpected and know how to make their moves. I still do 20k if I want to, but it all depends on day, you can't ask me to stay within Lekki on Monday or Tuesday around 7pm, praying for trip to mainland, damn! I am pushing luck. Not saying one cant get, but 30 drivers on a spot jostling for 5 rides? That's luck Bros, it could have fall on anyone.

When I say these things, is not to put anyone down, but like Baz001 will say, it is to prep the mind and let one know what they are going into. These are life changing advice, it may make or break them.

And for the values of experience, your 13500 on Bolt is my 10k sharp on Indriver. It's technical, I don't advise newbies to start with Indriver, but Bolt. For you to make head way with Indriver, you most know the roads, routes , and time to avoid certain areas. Ohk!

BAZ001:
Mr joetem, kindly ask him and other drivers how easy it is to net 10k a day ?
That net 10k a day no be fore newbies, except weekends. Why ?
Cause you will see 10k net on your dashboard but but not in your account because the fuel you would have used to net the 10k daily will be way more than you can imagine.
G no loud em, Pearl1910 is very good at misleading and trying to sound political correct. Driving is not just worth it right now, one will wait for trip tire. For a newbie? I'm sure the waiting time will frustrate them.

No offensive gesture... what we have now are dew morning rush and scary evening rush, any other thing is inbetween. The way Indriver will be rolling these days, if you have liver, give a rider price, when they send trip to you.

Please we should stop sounding like they are no hurdles in this hustle.

Ha! For real? Where am I supposed to get that from? Dont you have Globacom?

Na joke pls drop any network it’s fine
Sorry jare, its been a busy... on a light note, I don't think it's advisable to get a naija used car for such purpose, unless you want to be driving it yourself.

You said you dont mind spending 1.5m to get and as well spend another money to put it in right shape. How much are you willing to spend to put it in right form?

Are you looking thro HP or rent? I run an idea in my head... 1.5m should get one a good naija car, if I put it for HP at 2m with remit of 120k/30k monthly/weekly that's like 17 months. A year and 4 months won't give one interest of 500k leaving the money in the bank, maybe other business would, but I am regretting the bitcoin I bought going 2 years now.

So it business you just have to go with your intuitions.

Pele boss... this remind me of a ride like that. Got a trip from Surulere going to Lasuth, rush down. A man came to meet me that he is trying to take his aged mother to hospital, I was curious and kind of try to find out her state. He plead and ask me to understand, my conscience won't let me say no to some offers, so I mellow. She can't walk, they carried her, the cloth she was putting on was soaked with... your guess is as good as mine. She can't even talk, they just have to support her. We got to the hospital and there was no space, they first run a quick test to check if they will admit her, family were going up and down; trying to do the test and at the same time register a bed space, while she was inside the car. I didnt even bother, the car sit has been messed already, that means, end of the day. When it all said and done, I gently go to car wash and clean the car.

May God help us and those fighting for a better health. Lot of things humbled me, just live for a purpose, do right and spread love always. From mystery we came, to mystery we shall return.

2008 sir..
Nah u b sir, wetin my small pikin know.

But a quick one, the toks of that car is worth BTW 4.5 to 4.7m. I don't know the state of your own and when you say till things ease... are you expecting one sure fund like rent? How long do you intend driving this car on ehailing? These questions I ask, so you won't acquire another problem while trying to solve one, unless you are looking for wives via ehailling.

Using Lagos as yield stick... if all ends seem closed to me and I can't seem to figure anything out for the next 8 to 12 months, sighting ehailling as the only option (Said this, cos most of us picture it won't b more than a year, but here we are). I'll gladly sell this car, if it's still worth 3.7 to 4m. I'll use 1.2 - 1.4, go to place like North (Abuja pricesly) and find one very nice naija Matrix/corolla, while I fixed deposit the rest. There's no how you will drive for a year and won't make something reasonable out of ehailling and when it's all said and done, you can still sell Matrix or Corolla at same value or more. Remove your fixed, plus sales and here you are back with your luxury ride with things already being better in view.

But if you want to drive Es 350 in Lagos grin these girls don't have respect for cars oo, it will shock you when you start seeing chew gum everywhere and won't even remember the unfortunate lack of empathy for good thing of a rider you carried.

3.5 litre engine I guess? Just goan meet one filling station manager and tell him to print Tees with inscription "customer of the year" for you.

Check the price of compressor and evaporator... they don't spoil easily, but sometimes you need to take business from what could b the worst to happen. If you can defeat that, then you don't have to worry about the gain.

This I write for Lagos, I don't know how Abuja runs their package... maybe you may pick senator wife and from there you become her A.D.C. you see Lagos? even if someone keep you for steady offline, he or she will end up as chronic debitor and anyone that says you should be picking him or her at a particular period in time won't include the values of surge. Buy Apple Bigi for me nah

U just did what u say u will never understand in ur last paragraph grin.

Sometimes Indriver is better than Uber/Bolt like from Yaba to VI or Lekki Phase 1. That trip is not more than 1,800 to VI and 2,500 to Phase 1 on Uber/Bolt but on Indriver u will be seeing 2,500 to VI and 3,500 to Lekki.

But generally speaking Indriver can't be compared to Uber/Bolt.
I did not do anything, if you read well i said without surge, so apparently with surge Indriver is not the best option. That's what I call fairness and being truthful unlike how you've found to defend Bolt. If you've study ehailling well, you will come to understand that drivers arrive at almost same net, it's the make up that matters. V.I to Surulere is 2k on indriver with less than 20 mins on a free road. Once they close from work the best you will get is 3k with almost 3 hours traffic, while Bolt guys are enjoying 2.0 surge. The only difference here is when you remove the commission on both app and mostly especially for guys like Tojah that don't pay on Indriver, you will realise, it's same thing.

Now, most rider compare both app's before booking... some are just ok with the fixed price. It's not everyone that feel relax riding with Bolt especially when they sight traffic.

If you want to cry on indriver, just pick ikeja to berger around 6pm for 1200. You will know the true definition of a bleeding within driver. That Berger round about is enough to frustrate life out of anyone.

one rider told me yesterday that is like indriver is now more expensive than bolt grin and i think i also notice it because yesterday inside Thomas estate while waiting for destination trip on bolt/uber i saw a request on indrive within the estate, I saw 2 mins to pick up then 3 mins to destination. Offer was 800 i accepted but indriver warned me that the trip shouldn't be less than 900 so the rider raise it to 900 , I was surprised because on bolt na 600 be dat just 3 mins trip to unity homes...I collect 1K still no give change sef grin
Indriver does not have surge, you can't see ride of 9k on indriver. They are traffic drivers on Indriver are just on their own, so all app work for one good at a particular point in time. That's why I will never understand when a driver try to foster one app is better than the other if he is not directly benefiting from the company.

On a normal day without surge, Indriver is far making sense compare to bolt

Lol, I was almost going into depression or running mental at some point but this faceless thread became my distraction.

Let me give little scenario
I served (Nysc) in Lagos , got a job with multinational 2yrs after my service. Was sent on a project outside Nigeria for 3yrs. I was earning in dollars (estacodes) and all.
Fast forward to 2017/2018 Exxon Mobil took over the coy and all oil rigs and turned every staff to contractors with shitty pay (not less than 500k) and option of changing to permanent staff later... the rest is history.

First Uber driving : ( I had 1.6m cash in my account) I joined the hustle cos I thought you will earn 350k easily without stress.

2nd time: corona happened and we couldn’t go offshore again, we working from home. No more offshore allowance.
We are 9 in my team the first 3 guys dt travelled out in 2017 are now big boys. As in biggest boys
Long story short I’m the 8th person that left Nigeria after wasting my time trying to hustle and get good job cos I like Nigeria.

The only way I was encouraging myself was coming to laugh and catch cruise on this thread cos I can’t kee myself. When my former colleagues are driving 2020 cars and paying mortgage of mansion abroad, I’m her dragging with olosho/Lastma or fake alert 2000 naira.

Let me stop here for now,
But I will say it again any graduate in the age range of 25 - 38yrs driving Uber is wasting away precious time, energy and potentials.

I know it’s not easy cos I tasted of it.
BUT I will rather you do it as side hustle than be relaxed in it.
The story of my life - One Direction grin we all gat stories to tell, but first let's reach that point where we feel some sense of belonging or breathe the air of freedom.

When I say a good place to start, simply means you can save money from the proceed of Uber or Bolt and do whatever please you. Leave the country or not? best to know we all don't come from same background, so I can't actually tell anyone what to do, but obviously this hustle is not paradise, far be it from paradise. What sickens me most is the disdain that come with it, maybe we've been able to change the narrative over time, but it's still meant for the lowlife and peeps that life has pushed to the extreme. The irony of this job is seeing couple of my riders turn driver after some months, life no they easy I guess.

I have always say it that the energy is no longer there for me, most of the time I don't even relate with riders or play music. I am honestly not interested in the trip, oven suffered it, cos my attention is just to get the trips done, meet my target and get the F of the road. I don't know, my mind is always far away, some riders even complain about me being too gently and they like being chat up during trip. In my mind, you'll go and meet Ali Baba, but I still try to flow along.

About leaving the country... yes! some we say opportunities are here, but I'll say in the hands of few. What really matter is sanity, being birth here already put one at disadvantaged or short one. If anyone thinks I'm lying, try hustle Uber for 3 years over there and here and do the compare. It's not just about E hailing, but almost every sector of the country. During Jonathan, almost everyone was complaining about corruption l
Killing the country. Buhari's tenure nko? Complain ke! Is it not someone that have strength will push for strike. We've been beaten to accept our reality, only God knows what is coming next. Do yourself a favour, your children... born and unborn a favour, by taking them far away above poverty mentality.

Let me stop here, anyone that have sense enough, should understand 10 years from now, the country will still be swimming in mess.
