I really thank God it was Northern people territory and they were so nice to me, even my very own yoruba guys around there were giving me body hitting like, bro this place u park ur car dem go steal am b4 morning, different yoruba guys just dey come voice me until I called the most rugged among them say make them no worry I go settle them by morning...I'm not sorry to say it Hausa people they kind and accomodative pass we yoruba people...
In every territory there's both good and bad people. No doubt the Hausa people can be accomodating until deh see anything that looks like iron cheesy in a nutshell, they are strangers, & its ok to be kind to host community. The Yoruba's you saw outside by that time are the forsaking ones, the good ones are already inside their house. We moove grin

No one has ever said bolt is not a stepping stone.

Our message is...
As you're taking Bolt as your 1st step, don't allow it to be your last.
As your take that 1st step, don't get so comfortable on it and forget when to take the next step.

Cos the time you'll realize your self (if you did got carried away), you might be lagging quite far behind.

As you step on it, hasten up to step out of it before it gets late. (especially, young unmarried graduates with ambitions.)
Exactly.... people will not understand this advice. It look's like someone that wants to sign contract, ask Teribo West how far, he will explain better.

cheesy I like this comment. You see na now you/una dey come out in clear terms. Wizkid (in Don’t Dull) said/sang “My money and your money no be mate”. There is a difference between your account balance and my own account balance.

There are levels you’ll reach where making 25/30k in a day would look like 2k/3k in your eyes. We all pray to reach that level one day. I honestly don’t expect such “multimillionaires” to be struggling with “minnows” like us doing Uber/bolt. Life is in stages and at this stage at least for myself, the money I make from bolt in Mr Sabinus voice “it is hooge” as it is my 2nd source of income.

While we strive to grow from this level, I’d rather utilize this opportunity bolt offers and use it as a stepping stone into the next level rather than condemn and write it off. As at 2pm today I’ve made 10k which is my daily target thanks to the heavy fuel scarcity in Abuja. Almost all my trips are surges. This 10k be like 100k. That is the level I am currently.

When I was in the university, I envy corp members because as at then they earn 19800 in my mind I was like when I get there I’ll save and be rich. Then I serve finish 19800 no even last pass 3 weeks, then I started praying for a job that pays at least 30k, in my mind that’ll be massive. My first job was 50k, need I say the 50k became worthless after 2-3 months? My next job was triple the previous one yet, the cycle continues.

The summary of this whole epistle is that life is in stages. Appreciate each level you find yourself and strive to move on to the next phase. Don’t write off or look down at the hustle of the next man because you feel you’ve outgrown that stage. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Bolt/Uber is some people’s first step. Let them experience and grow from it.
I didn't think you read what I wrote, cos you end up saying the same thing, except for the write off. I never said it was a bad hustle, all I am saying or believe most is saying, don't get caught in the rat race. Today you feel you are making head way, only to sum it up and see you could have done way much better only if u had used your time judiciously.

I have always say it, if you find yourself at the end of the zone and no where to turn too, then key into this hustle and build yourself, but have exit plan to greater things? Is that a bad thing to do? I don't know much about Abj, but a 3 bedroom flat in just a normal place in Lagos can go for 1m. You have maybe 2 kids and you pay maybe 300k for their school fees in a year ( which is not enough for a good school). Family up keep money, car issues... factor all these together and ask yourself if you can effectively spend 2 million in a year absolutely doing this? Thank God you have your 1st hustle and I have my 1st and 2nd hustle, just using ehailing as my 3rd hustle. Do you mind if I ask what your first hustle is about?

I am not beating the hustle down, far from it... but let just be mindful the way we ask people to resign from their work. This decision is a life changing one, it can make and break them forever. People read what we wrote and post here, they kind of apply it in their everyday life. Peace

Yes! Journey to a thousand miles start with a step, but some have been rotating around a fixed cycle for years now, trying to break free. What do you expect them to do? No one is talking about multimillionaire here, but prospect. How long do you think you can do this? What's next? May we not end up doing more hard labour in our old age, all because we tend to find some sought of satisfaction in our younger age. Most old security men you see today, did work... like real hours of Lagos hustle, life only took their valuable time and energy before resigning them to the gate. After their strength can't open gate again, it's either they resign to village, pool, taba and gin. Life is unkind

They know that the two persons I called will make it easy for me but they simply ignored all the calls, what will I do when they won't take phone to talk to my brother?
I had to look for a neutral lasma person and explained everything to him and even told him my brother is mad they didn't want to talk to him, he was very helpful to me at least he took time to listen to me.
He went to plead on my behalf, las las na 15k I pay because of the people involved.

cheesy hahahah. Yes, trips going towards outskirts of Abuja experience heavy traffic at peak hours. Places like Karu, Nyanya, Lugbe are no go areas from 7am till around 12 and 4pm downwards.
When I get such trips I simply ignore. You can spend a whole 1hr just in traffic.

And don’t get me wrong o, I agree 100% that driving/traffic in Lagos is crazy. I don talk am before say I can’t survive in Lagos. How you guys even drive over there seem like a miracle to me. Bros, are you now saying an average Abuja driver now earns more than a Lagos driver?
Nah! Far be it from that. We don't have the same populace, so numbers of rider's can't be the same and drivers inbtw. If my view about Abuja roads are true, just imagine every roads in Laos being like Sunday. You know they are times when they will be mild scarcity of trips like Saturday morning. But if you see 4 good trips, you are good to go for the day. Rest in turn over time and quick to destination as well.

The motivation that comes from a free road days can't be overstated, unlike when you take a trip from v.I to berger around 5pm and you are ending it Ard after 8. It dulls the system

Aiyaaaa...I think the other side of the hussle is shared well enough. Just read this thread, it's full of drivers experiences. It's just that it doesn't raise controversy, arguments or disagreements that's why it seems like it's not discussed enough. But when earnings discussion come up and it causes fight, it's like that's d only thing that's talked about always.
When last did we share experience here grin lot happen beneath bros, folks have just learnt to keep their sruffs private. Bring it online, oga dru and the gang will be the one to dig it out 10 years later.

Truth is everyone will eat breakfast or at least that's how it seem. You don't buy experience, you learn thro the rope. No matter how you coach someone, they will still make mistake and learn the hard way, it is psychological. As pro as I might claim to be, riders still finger my head. A dude still ran away with my 1900... saw him doing the transfer and it's already 10pm, I didn't bother waiting to confirm. I learnt lasma is taking 200k for one way, if you are lucky they take 100k and if you have bad as* connection 50k. Drivers still fall into their trap, they just don't share it, I've had of 2 cases this week and they parted with 50k each.

Imagine some one that just started out parting with 100k, that sh*t will break the person. Pearls never told them this, all he ingrained in their minds were 10k net everyday. The constant bashing they will receive from going to places like Isolo, Egbade. For some it is a swell start, but for most the pressure kind of get high, if they can survive the pressure by formulating a plan and time that works for their body, soul and system, the better for them. Just stop making it sound like a child won't have to leap before boldly walking. We have couple of drivers here that has parked cars, even after spending years and follow up each day. No gesture of offence, life happens to each and everyone of us. Peace

Yet still able to save 2.5m to buy a car... To me that man is foolish to have drop dru's car and be driving his own where he got the money from.

Heyyy God ehhh...
What's d insult in what I said? Aren't u d one dat said u work at certain times and that u r currently in the house till d next rush hour?

Now let's see who needs to go back to secondary school before u talk of GCE
25% of 20k is 5k.
I use max 4k fuel to gross 20k but let's just say 5k fuel is used.
So when u deduct 5k fuel and 5k commission from ur 20k gross u r left with 10k as Net in ur pocket.

I am disappointed I had to break down a simple thing like this for you to comprehend. And U have been incoherently arguing and dragging this matter. Hope u are okay sha. No worry all d money u lose for crypto u will recover it back cos when there is life there is hope.
Back to Base... Boss leave what I wrote regarding being at home, you don't know what I am doing, let the story be that.

When you say go and sleep and try to talk down on why I can't break through, is that a hug? Ohk! When next you are havin a chat with a soldier, tell him to go an sleep.

There's nothing to argue about, I am just flowing with reality here and trying to let the new ones be on guide. Seriously, you deh fall my hand, I would have say they should promote you to kindergarten, but that will be harsh of me. Net is total profit after expenses has been deducted from gross profit. Normally we don't use to include cost of fuelling here, all we care about is what you get after commission. Since you want to sound smart, let me be your guest. Since when did you start using 4k gas to gross 20k? Tot we use 3k gas to gross 18k and inbetween, is the 4k with or without surge?

Now back to basic elementary, 20k gross, 25% commission you never agree Bolt is takin and 4k gas, how did you arrive at 10k or you meant to say 5k for gas? If yes! When did you start using 5k gas to make 20k. Do this maths again and state actual figures, nothing like nearly in mathematics. Do you even add other expenses like days you have to spend more than you bargain for as expenses? Or you want to deny they are days we don't have to spend unwarranted 2k, 3k week in, week out on car?

On the flip side... please, how many driver's out there grossed 20k on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday this week? 5 witness please. Let's be honest with ourselves.

Now if you are driving on Bolt with surge and you have to gross 20k daily? Damn! I know how many trips you will have to complete to get that. Bros, I'll advice you to rest small.

Oga u r talking stories o.
It's funny u said my points are watery only to make an epistle about how it is easy to Net 10k. So what where u trying to argue about before. U r always saying u can make 20k if u want to.
All d stories about d economic challenges is d reason I am being conservative by saying 10k Net daily. I do way more and I know lots of guys that know their way earn alot more too.
Mind u, when I say 10K Net I mean less fuel and commission. So that's about 20k Gross on dashboard.
Reason I say u can't compare yourself driving on Indriver with an average Uber/Bolt driver is because u r constantly fighting for trips and doing prayer and fasting to get trip back to ur zone. So don't say/argue otherwise again cos it's what it is.

Abuja is administrative capital of the country, you come in, secure your contract and move. So to balance it up, u might be making a few bucks, but less stress...
Trying to earn a living in lasgidi, using ehailing has a platform is akin to bringing out a fish in a body of water...
