Ur post got me all emotional.

But I think u shld b sure.... These Dr's know how to cover their asses.
For the weight of ur baby he shld have been able to pass ur cervix.... So d forceps part confused me.

Cerebral palsy occurs before during or after birth. Pls be sure which one occurred in ur case... And the seizures especially at an early age like that can also cause brain injury .

My advice, get a bad ass lawyer... If u still wanna sue.
@febdevy, your post made me wear my thinking cap in a way I can't even explain
Hmmmmnn...
I second firsty's comment on the weight of your baby and your pelvic bone
We may not be able to give the best advice here but many things should be considered:
Your pregnancy history, how labour and delivery happened cos some pointers could come out from here.. Did you have preeclampsia or PIH? Even your own past medical history is important
Also, what was your baby's APGAR score at birth? What was the indication for use of forceps?
I feel sad about what happened by God will grant you grace to handle every situation and you will come out strong..
You see, I was delivered via forceps in Northern Nigeria (in the 80's) by a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist and all went fine..I have never had a seizure at any time in my life, my dev milestones were uneventful and I'm fine
Forceps delivery is almost phased out now even in Nigeria except in life threatening situations and it must be done by a trained accoucheur so you also need to know why forceps was used..
A good lawyer will be of help..
Please be strong and courageous
God will see you through..
It is well

@the whole naming thingy, I am from North-East Nigeria aka as Hausa, although Hausa is not my tribe. We all follow the Jewish biblical culture for the 8th day naming and circumcision and even the northern Muslims do the same
In our own case we didn't do any naming ceremony in Yankee, just did dedication when LO was 2months plus when we returned and the Lutheran infant baptism as that's DH home church and had the party of food afterwards

Without any other info from u, I'll torchlight the following issues
1. The mood of the vo
2. The manner wherein your wife answered
3. Her actual answer. I will elucidate a bit here.
' I went for 2 weeks but since I was stamped 6 months I now stayed back visiting friends and what not. IMO that shows she had no serious ties in Nigeria. She could change her plans at the drop of a hat. Clearly, she had no job to run back to. Maybe she even took paid employment whil there #inthevo'svoice. She could even afford to stay2 months away from her husband that is s'posed to be a tie.
Who's to say she has not made arrangements to now stay forever now.
4. Again I think her whole answer was flippant. It could rub of wrong on a bad 'mooded'

Anytime she's reapplying, she has to have it in mind to prove strong home ties and that she did not work while in the us
You too much LG

Hi mums, my Lo is 5 weeks old and breaking out on her face. I use sebamed bath soap and cream and ori (Shea butter) for her hair which doesn't really oil her hair as she has really dry hair and scalp. Last Saturday my mum applied my coconut oil on her hair and used d remaining on her hand to moisturise her face. This was done for two days and since then she has tiny reddish pimple like things on her face, even some on d hair. I suspect it's d coconut oil which I stopped immediately after the second day but it hasn't cleared.pls

1. What do I do to make it go?
2. What cream or oil can I apply to her hair as d Shea butter doesn't really moisturize d hair.
3. Recently bought Johnson baby oil but I am so scared to use it on her hair so I don't increase what's already on her face.
Check anizi's post, she mentioned gold bond powder from walmart which is said to be very effective
Congratulations..
This thread is so rich
God bless you all

The swaddlers are actually best for little babies who haven't started moving much. When baby gets older the little movers or cruisers are better.

In my opinion pampers swaddlers are okay for newborns but from 6 months and above I'd definitely go for huggies. Infact with this baby I started with huggies from the start it provides more protection than pampers in my experience. Same way I prefer Dr brown for training pants, cheaper and equally effective.
Yes..true
How's your baby? Congratulations and your story reminds me of Gods miracles
I pray that you find Gods favour in finding a new house help
When it's time il check the training pants by Dr Browns
For now, little movers is bae smiley..we are 7 months and using size 4

Hi every one .... Has any momma used pampers swaddler a for thier babies? How was it .
It depends on your baby
I used pampers swaddlers from NB to size 1..Il rate it very good, it's absorbancy is excellent but my baby had diaper rash so I switched to huggies little snugglers which suited her skin...I attempted using pampers swaddlers again in size 3 and the diaper rashes reappeared again so I just abandoned it
IMO, pampers swaddlers absorbs well but huggies is softer and absorbancy is also good
From size 3..I used huggies little movers not snug and dry, which I will rate excellent...it absorbs VERY well, it VERY soft and it has large wings which prevents leakage

Il rate Huggies Little Movers higher than pampers cruisers

Yam is not allowed for the same reason seeds are not allowed, they dont want individuals to go planting it in their country. When you cut both ends off they know you cant plant, and theres nothing wrong in doing that!!!
Aunty Anizi, at the !!!...no be fight o
I thought they had a problem with it completely like how they hate kilishi prolly cos of crop diseases
No vex o..CBP read our thread so I thought it was a complete contraband item
P.S- I am an ardent lover of yam grin

Yes that's the way it is. Thanks for reducing blood pressure if a preggy mama
My first US visa was for a conference and it had the name of the conference in the annotation section...I got it in Barbados so I thought that was done to me as some form of discrimination..I know better now smiley....
I attended my conference and returned back to school..I don't regret using the visa then for the intended purpose cos I made some good contacts there in DC smiley smiley smiley

Folks, try to be honest in all your dealings and pertaining this issue of cutting yam in half, I feel it should not be promoted here cos this thread advocates honesty in everything and sneaking in contraband items into the United states deliberately should be a NO option

Congratulations to all the wonderful mamas in the house with testimonies..All those in need of Gods help in one way or the other, don't fret, but encourage yourselves in the Lord and He will help you all

Peace.....

Aliko Dangote is the luckiest human being alive!!! Very soon he will be handed Nigeria to "manage"lipsrsealed

Got Tax incentive to build the road that services his business, a road that was primarily damaged by his heavy duty trucks!! cool
IMO, this is a wrong move by this government
He should be given a bigger responsibility, This is NOTHING in comparism to his taxes, and no one should talk about his recent donation in Maiduguri...This is Nigeria not America

Pioot, your story is confusing
Why did you your friend tell the go 14k while it was 7k initially
Secondly, is this your friends transcript or your own
Also, you didn't say the main reason for issuing the first visa
Please we need this thing straight cos many people read this thread and it won't be nice for anyone to misinterprete you, another reason is that CBP read this thread and we will want them to know we are not what they think about Nigerians, as many good Nigerians exist

Thank God for you o @blaize777
If I'm to choose of UK and US..il still choose US, cos other than childbirth, shopping and all that is better for me in the US
Dunno why they get so angry at this thing, we want better healthcare, we are improving their economy, we shop a lot and pay all our bills..People that should be flagged are those that show signs of wanting to use insurance, but someone who can pay should excite them..

This should serve as a notice to the poster that wants to use conference visa and send change of intent, honestly pays so pls do the needful.

Wish you safe delivery

Hello all, my friend was just returned from Chicago Poe due to insufficient cash $7000. Her visa was cancelled. Please what can she do to reapply for visa and come back again within 2 weeks. Your feedback will be appreciated for those with similar experience
Chicago POE has been over flogged as a dangerous POE...
I guess you prolly didn't know about this thread prior to your friend's trip. However, get a detailed transcript and post here, also ask your friend how many weeks she travelled at, did she state her intent of coming as childbirth at the onset of interview or the CBP discovered and asked for docs? Pls be honest about everything and the gurus here will help iron this ish

P.S..If possibly, people should consider having their babies in other states than Illionois
There's nothing special about Chicago with their overzealous custom border patrol
After POE interview, POExit interview usually await people
Sigh!

Pls oo..Detention for long hours a.k.a secondary inspection isn't a nice experience for a pregnant woman or a woman who just had a baby..you will be emotionally drenched
To avoid this, pay any amount to avoid Chicago POE with pregnancy cos they are paranoid..If you say the truth, they will think you are lying
I was VERY honest in all my dealings, yet I experienced emotional torture

Best wishes
