Chicagomum: Hello Mama's,
Please does anyone have any idea of a good birthing center in Chicago? Didn't find anything in the 2 parts...My budget is very tight so I am considering using a birthing center instead of a hospital.
@hastee sent you a mail please reply now. I have been expecting your response....
Thank you. Check google and you will see a whole list, contact them and look at their reviews also People here hardly use birth centres so u may not find info on that esp in Chicago |

Hawttattoo: My Edd was on the 2nd of August based on scan did at 9 weeks. I don't know which kpekus nailed it (according to Nef) as I wasn't even sure of my LMC. After 2nd August,I was scheduled for induction on the 7th but i called and cancelled it a day before 7th seriously kabashing and building up my faith that labour will come before then. As I had my other kids without inducing and on time. I started having mild contraction on the 7th, got to the hospital on the early hours of 8th. The labour was not progressing and induction was the only option since I was already 41 weeks.
Forgive my long post... Congratulations on your bundle of joy..4.45kg, wow..weldone! You had a natural start of labour, so you were augmented not induced Congrats once more |

Tatanda17: Hello Mommas,
Trust you're doing great today, I need to contact a doctor/hospital in Chicago or Indianapolis.
Thanks a bunch. Got this from a nairaland mum: Check Mount Sinai Hospital Chicago and get phone numbers to call Doc fee was $2050 for vaginal delivery. I dint know this fee till after I delivered because they said they cannot give me a quote cos dey dont know how the delivery will be. I paid $30 for each doc apppintment and all my tests from Nigeria was accepted by my doctor. He was also a Nigerian. Then I paid an extra 202 dollars for something else but I was given a 50% discount so I ended up paying $101. Everything was sha below $4,500. When I got to the financial councellor they gave me a number for the doctors office. So I called to book an appointment. Then the lady on the phone told me they actually do have a Nigerian doctor and they could make an appointment with him for me. I said I don't mind o. That id probably feel more at ease with him. They were all nice there. The doctors office is just about 2mins walk to the main hospital. They are a group of doctors affiliated with the hospital called Access (you can google access group of physicians affiliated with mount sinai chicago). So its them you pay not the doctors directly you get |
