Goke7:
Nigerians sha, There is no way Buhari will go on a trip like without a member of his immediate family especially when his wife was not part of the trip, there are little domestic issues that only a member of his family can help him out, not even his personal assistants.

There are too many kids on nairaland so I can understand and appreciate all the wailing here lol
His wife okay.

His young children no wahala.

Common! Adult children should be busy doing something.

They should not be living off Nigeria's presidency; he is not an official of Nigeria, at least not yet.

At least Obasanjo introduced his son Gbenga as a "businessman from Nigeria" during his own time.

What domestic thing are you talking about when his wife is not around? Is he a homosexual or what? Or will he sleep with his own child?

They won't cook or do his laundry would they?

A president ceases to be "domestically" inclined the moment he takes the oath of office.

He becomes very serious with national issues.

These people are very despicable.

A grown man is not consider part of his parents' immediate family anymore.

Yusuf Buhari is not a teenager that they will be carrying to market up and down.

The guy is a fully grown-up adult who should have his own family already.

Does he not have what he is doing? Maybe schooling or working somewhere?

Is that how he will be loitering around his father's office unproductively for four years?

Does it mean that our presidency is a life-line for the Buharis now?

Chelsea Clinton was in Nigeria as a child, Barack Obama's children are teenagers.

Why did George H. W. Bush not go around with his adult children?

People like Femi Adesina are very lazy.

Buhari the dullard will not be president of Nigeria for ever. It's only four years or eight if he wins.

The pathetic thing about his own is that it would happen in his OLD AGE when he is supposed to be resting.

Continue Mr. Dullard.

Hope the people clapping for him now would be there for him then?

these online degrees offer a means for working adults to upgrade themselves. many people cant afford to stop work just to attend school full time, online degrees give them the necessary flexibility. many married mothers also have the time to take care of their kids and pursue a degree.
in the year 2015, education is going online and offering flexibility, almost every school in every country is looking at the online option to stay relevant. in Nigeria we are banning online degrees. very backward move from NUC. regulate, access and accredit the online schools
The National Open University of Nigeria does the same thing you listed here.

That is the one acceptable in Nigeria for now. Adjust to it, sorry!

When you're done with the online program you get a degree in the name of the University so How will they know if the degree was gotten online?
1. So, for first degree, you will be asked to produce your NYSC discharged/exemption certificate.

NYSC does not mobilize and issue discharge/exemption certificates to graduates of institutions not recognized in Nigeria.

2. For higher degrees, your current employer already knows you were with them all through the period you claim to be studying while your prospective employer would ask you during interview if your program is online or residence. Your CV typically records your employment and educational history with dates anyway.

When GEJ and Dasuki were sourcing for underground weapon, APC with the help of "American intelligence" were busy ridiculing Nigeria
in the international stage. They labelled Nigeria as a failed state because it resorted to black market for arms.
Now they have learnt their lesson and I am confident Buhari will have to swallow his pride and follow GEJ's blueprint
in sourcing for weapons.
It is even very baffling to read that Buhari went to source for weapons from the Americans when he told Thisday in Dec 2014 that America is not our traditional arms supplier.

But how will you make the US to supply us arms given the accusations against the military and how will you get Cameroun to cooperate more given the crisis over Bakassi and the border demarcation, bearing in mind their refusal to cooperate up till now?

On the question of the US selling arms to us, the US can influence our traditional arms suppliers but the US is probably not a major supplier of arms to Nigeria as far as I can recall – right from independence till now. But they can influence those that can supply arms to us. As you know, the black market of sourcing military hardware has never been stopped even with international pressure. I think for the weapons we need to fight Boko Haram, a group of people taking arms against the country. I do not think we need weapons of the magnitude people are talking about. Of course, the military was disarmed in order to stabilise democracy. But how can I stabilise the army and get the cooperation of the US to help us and at least to give us the moral support and allow our traditional arms suppliers – France, United Kingdom and Russia – to give facilities for maintaining those weapons like tanks and armoured cars? I believe the US will not stand in the way of a democratic country getting supply of weapons and ammunition to defend itself against internal or even external aggression. As I have said earlier, Cameroun is even fighting Boko Haram more effectively than us. If you would recall that there were some kidnappers that took away the wife of a (vice prime) minister but the Camerounian law enforcement agency got her released.

The oil is not going away, sooner or later the price will rebound.

The agreement was based on Obama's assumption that in ten years time, Iran's young population won't be interested in belligerency.

It's a foolish assumption.

Bill Clinton also made such a stupid assumption on North Korean back then.

Today, North Korea sits on several hundreds of Nuclear warheads and developing a long range missile to launch it.

The agreement was in Iran's favor more than anyone.

And be rest assured that US already have moles planted within Buhari govt, any attempt by Buhari to access weapons from the black market secretly will be swiftly thwarted by the US.

And I doubt we can get better weapons to out gun BH from the black market.

Nigeria should simply swallow her pride and accept US demands, if she wants to survive.

This is the price she has to pay for failing to develop a weapon complex, four decades after she depended on British weapons to win a civil war.

Lord have mercy! when did the average IQ

PMB says an average of 250k barrels was
being stolen per day. Then he said
mentioned a particular minister who moved
1M barrels per day and opened up to five
accounts for the pocketing of the proceeds.

The moving of 1N barrels by the minister
was over a period of time, not like everyday
for 1, 2 or 3 years. Go and read the press
release again. Why is comprehension so
hard for youngsters of nowadays.
President Muhammadu Buhari has given more
insights on the extent of corruption in the country’s
oil sector under the administration of former
President Goodluck Jonathan.

He spoke on Tuesday while reacting to questions
from members of Nigerians In Diaspora
Organisation (NIDO) in the United States and
Canada at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC.
According to him, “250,000 barrels per day of
Nigerian crude were being stolen and people sell
and put the money into individual accounts,”
adding that the United States and other developed
countries “are helping us to trace such accounts
now.”

” We will ask that such accounts be frozen and
prosecute the persons. The amount involved is
mind-boggling. Some former ministers were selling
about one million barrels per day.

” I assure you that we will trace and repatriate such
money and use the documents to prosecute them. A
lot of damage has been done to the integrity of
Nigeria with individuals and institutions already
compromised,” Buhari stated.

Citing the example of the Nigerian National
Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), President Buhari
said unlike what obtained during his tenure as
Federal Commissioner for Petroleum under military
regime when the NNPC had only two traceable
accounts before paying oil proceeds into the Central
Bank of Nigeria (CBN), “now everybody is doing
anyhow.”

The President, who expressed skepticism on the
existence of oil subsidy, said if subsidy was
removed, transport, housing and food prices would
go out of control and the average worker would
suffer untold hardship.

Stop Killing Boko Haram Members - Buhari Tells FG

Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never killed or properties belonging to them destroyed.

Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment.

The former dictator said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government.

While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.

According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all.

“What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force.

“After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped.

“The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study  and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment.

“So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money.

“How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn’t control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police.

“The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses.

“Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today.

You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty.

“They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished.

They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice”.

While fielding questions in English in the same programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the party registered, saying “the road to merger is quite rough.

“The ruling party, with its enormous resources and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly come together to deliver their constituencies democratically.

This is the only way you can counter PDP’s enormous physical and material influence in the country”

He expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress will be registered saying “by nature, I am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not attempt to contest the presidency three times and end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe we are going to be registered.

“There is a law guiding party registration which states that you must have your headquarters in the nation’s capital that can be identified by INEC and you must have a convention. All the three parties involved have held their conventions and have agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC.

“At the national level, we must have those who will run the party. As soon as we meet these criteria and INEC acknowledge that, 30 days after the acknowledgement, we are APC whether INEC write us and give us the registration or not”.

This is the most insincere comment I have seen in a long time. It seems you have forgotten the Nyanya bombings in abuja or the one in Kano central mosque or the entire villages wiped out by the insurgents during GEJ's failed administration.

Be objective. There is no justification for your comparison.
Was that the reason they ordered military checkpoints dismantled so that they will allow Boko Haram to spread everywhere to compete with Nyanya Park and Kano Central Mosque bombings?

I thought you guys said all she ever did was to unecessarily criticize Jonathan and his government and that she is lobbying for a ministerial job in Buhari's government?

Is she no longer doing all of the above or what?

Most of you digruntled Jonathan supporters are nothing but hypocrites and confused human beings.

The same woman was with Buhari days ago, why didn't she ask the question then?

She even compared her group's pictures of Jonathan and Buhari's period, saying her new found god is more 'receptive'.

Why she's tweeting this nonsense now is beyond anyone understanding. Buhari made several solidarity speeches with Boko Haram before he was elected but he was elected in spite of that by Oby Ezekwesilis of this country.

Buhari himself was busy mocking the Nigeria military in that same meeting with Oby's group instead of boosting their morale as required of him being their commander-in-chief.

If Oby's celebrated visit to Buhari was packaged to show that she has the highest level of access to government now than Jonathan's time, why is she boring everyone tweeting nonsense to us instead of going to his daddy directly?

Nigerians will always see through insincerity designed to burnish public image of fake people.
