You should be sure of what you are saying instead of thinking.
You should understand what middlebelt means in the Nigerian political context.

These are what you can quickly google before typing rapidly based on emotion.

Buhari won the core north in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

The disgruntled PDP states with the middlebelt votes joined with the southwest vote gave him an edge of 2 million in 2015.
Kwara, Niger, Kogi, Kaduna, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe were all strong PDP states before 2015.

That you are contending this is an indication that you do not understand what you are saying.

Meanwhile, Benue was won by Buhari in 2015 by 54%
Samuel Ortom was practically elected governor of Benue State in 2015 as an APC member.

In the southwest, Ekiti was lost to the PDP,

You don't have understanding.

The core north voted for Buhari three times without the votes of the Middle Belt - in 2003, 2007 and 2011.

He lost three times.

It was ONLY when the Middle Belt and the southwest joined forces with the disgruntled PDP in 2015 that Buhari won with 2 million votes.

Religion / Re: Kumuyi To Ushers: Stop Imposing Persistent Head Covering On Ladies, Causes Odour by porka: 3:25pm On Sep 18, 2022
Pastor Kumuyi has been trying lately to unfetter the members of his church from unnecessary dogma and traditions of men, which had made his congregation shrink and unappealing to the younger generation and therefore not having any future sustainability.

He is trying to untie them from dangerous beliefs that they had previously assumed are the manifestations of holiness, but which are mere human standards.

But in doing this, baba has sometimes got more people confused than before. In this case of women covering their head in the church, it is clearly written in the scripture he quoted (1 Corinthians 11:5). So one wonders what exactly is the trouble if an usher demands that a woman should cover her head at the entrance of the church.

Maybe prophecy is not general, giving that prophecy is a gift for a select few, which makes it exclusive, but can anyone enter the church and not pray? The rest of the verses in the chapter explained the whole issue clearly (from 1 Corinthians 11:6).

Pastor Kumuyi should be careful in throwing his church into confusion. The younger generation that he is trying to attract are even the ones that need biblical guidance from their entitlement tendencies. They should not be indulged to create their own rules.

Baba should know that it is not everyone that will be comfortable coming to the church. There is nothing wrong in women covering their head in the church. Christianity is accepted by faith.

Religion / Re: Lady Shares Unforgetable Experience At A Church In Canada (video) by porka: 11:20am On Sep 13, 2022
Did you not read your Bible?
Is food your reason for going to church?

Do you not have food at home?

Even though the church makes provisions for people struggling financially in their food bank, in order to cater to the soul as well as the body of members, but should this now be something for show?

Even on the occasion of the Holy Communion, everyone is required to eat from home to avoid complications (1 Corinthians 11:34).

The implication of this needless show is that you are likely to go to a shrine or some other ungodly places as long as long as food is being served. You make yourself vulnerable to heresies and false teachings that way.

Thirst and hunger for spiritual food instead. And work to be able afford your own food.

The reason to go to church is to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. The church of God is not a restaurant or an eatery.

“It is written,” he said to them, “’My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’” - Matthew 21:13
Politics / Re: Why Can't Nigeria Increase Palm Oil Production For Exports? by porka: 10:33am On Sep 13, 2022
There's no other reason than political considerations. They prefer a political crop like rice because it is the staple of Nigerian masses. You know, wasting money on rice would earned them praises from the press than cocoa, coffee, oil palm and others.

Consider how much they have wasted on rice while chasing shadows. All the cash crops that earned Nigeria solid foreign exchange were abandoned because they wanted to stupidly compete with Thailand, India and America in rice production.

Politics / Re: Jagaban: There Was No Lagos State In 1960 by porka: 11:56pm On Sep 12, 2022
You people are just unnecessarily disgracing yourselves over nothing. Lagos is Lagos.

Lagos has attracted millions of people since the colonial days till this day. The major attractions of Lagos are the sea port and the airport located in the city. The colonial masters built the seaport in Apapa and linked it with the railway to carry goods to the North. They also developed the airport in Ikeja, which served as the major gateway for international travel for a long time.

While many other airports have been developed, which allows people to travel out of the country without the necessity of going through the airport in Lagos, not many seaports have been developed, which still makes Lagos a major commercial hub of the country. The seaport serves as the transit for export and import. It only makes economic sense for financial institutions to have their headquarters close-by to service their numerous customers.

As a former colonial capital and later the seat of the Federal Government of Nigeria, key military and defense institutions were sited in the city by the Nigerian government. Major army, navy and airforce baracks are situated in the city. Educational institutions established by the Nigerian federal government are also in numbers. A federal university in Akoka, many research institutions in Oshodi and so on and all of those things have made Lagos what it is.

All the major highways in Lagos were developed by the Nigerian government. Apart from Abuja, which became the Federal Capital Territory in 1991, there is no other city/state that the federal government of Nigeria developed as much as Lagos.

Even till this day, the federal government still financial substantial part of the projects in Lagos. The Lekki Seaport is part financed by the federal government, the rail lines are part financed, etc. The FG is also a guarantor for the heavy loans being used for some of the projects as well.

With all the already made major infrastructure in place, Lagos is the easiest state for anybody to govern. All a governor needs to do is maintain refuse collection and manage traffic. The Nigerian media would praise the governor, because Lagos is the home of the media in Nigeria.

The media don't hold a Lagos governor accountable for corruption as much as they hold other state governors. The only way a Lagos governor can see the wrath of the media is when refuse litter the streets or when the traffic situation becomes unbearable, such as the Apapa gridlock. Otherwise, you won't read anywhere that a Lagos governor did not provide amenities.

Go back in time and check how Nigerian media praised even the military administrators of Lagos during the draconian regimes of the military. The last guy that was there before Tinubu was Buba Marwa. He was the darling of the press and Lagosians. Tinubu did not know his left from his right in the early days of his government. Lagosians were quick to compare his lackluster performance those days with Marwa's, which was not a match.

LegendHero:

Bro Tinubu will win the SW with nothing less than 75-80% of the votes.

That 75% is the lowest amount he can get. The indices are already appearing, go into the heart of Yorubaland and take stock.

Aside Lagos where Peter Obi/Atiku will get some votes (which will be divided between them both), Peter obi wont see 30k votes in any SW states up to Kwara.

30-50k votes mean you count 50,000 heads that will go and thumbprint for him in Ekiti for example. I wish him best of luck if he thinks he can get that.

But I’m sure Atiku will perform better in the SW than Obi because there are PDP structure that will want to go to Abuja and they will want to mobilize for him but they will be too few to make much impact.

How do you people make this analysis?
Do you base your calculations on some luck or hope or or rigging or what?

What gives you guys this kind of mad audacity to make wild projections this way without any scientific bases?

Do you know how evil APC is? Do you assume the juju will still work like that?

APC just recently got terribly defeated in the home state of Tinubu himself. Does it says anything to you? That was not even the first time. The last time was a daylight robbery that Buhari himself admitted that they won by remote control.

APC did not even win the presidential election in Ondo in 2019, despite all the suppression of votes and INEC's postponement of the election by a week.

Many of those governors in the north are on their last term, should it not say something to you? The northwest governors had even called for the replacement of Shetima by one of them - apparently to get their total commitment. In any case, will they rig again with the new INEC method? Time will tell.

The only way the APC candidate can win this election is by massive election rigging in connivance with INEC. And that would be a very disastrous thing for the country.

Elections should normally reflect the mood of the nation. If human nature is taken into consideration, no living things gravitate towards its predator if given a choice. Humans are the highest living organism in this world. When given a choice, nornal Humans run away from predators to avoid destructions and death. Only people in bondage don't have any choice. APC is currently a predator party in Nigeria - From west, east, north and south.

Are these 75-80% voters in South West not part of the destroyed economy? Are they not the same people who cannot send their children to you again? Are they not the people who are being killed in their farms on a consistent basis while the APC presidential candidate and his supporters accuse them of making those killings up? Are they not the same people being owed salaries for many months?

People cannot even eat food. Is it not just this past week that a young man committed suicide because of financial difficulties in the same South West?

Young men cannot even get married again. Thousands of school leavers are not doing anything. Youths are now more attracted to internet scam than ever before. Increase in ritual murders is indicative of people's desperation.

Are you saying South West people are blind to all these and would reward these plagues with 75-80% votes?

Democracy is beautiful when it rewards good deeds with votes and punishes evil and satanic performances of political parties with defeat at the polls. When parties do well, it shows immediately on the wellbeing of the citizens. Businesses thrive, lives are prolonged, people proper. They eat good food. Get married. Raise children. Serve God. None of these can be found in APC record for 7+ years.

When the party cannot be held accountable but becomes boastful as if they own the citizens, then disaster is not far from that polity.

APC is configured to be evil and satanic. No one is allowed to criticize the party and the evil policies. No party member is allowed to show any grievances. No member, no matter how highly placed is allowed to offer any suggestions. Journalists are not allowed to ask any questions or write opinion, they are punished with fines. Protests are suppressed.

This is not the kind of record that should be rewarded with a presidential win.

I now start believing the "pull down syndrome of some Yoruba people". These are surreptitious sabotage to campaign against their kin.

Should Nigeria risk such sectarian crisis and ethnic tension and mistrust again because of just a single individual's personal ambition?

Were you not around when Buhari spent over 100 days in hospital in the UK? Did you forget what Nigeria went through?

Nigeria was literally on fire with sectarian killings in many parts of Nigeria. Buhari had to be brought back to Nigeria briefly before going back to complete his treatment. Did you forget how many people died during that ethnic tension?

Was it worth it? Even Buhari himself said he had never been that sick in his life. Was the crisis that the sickness created worth it? Of what benefits were the loss of lives and property? What unity did it foster? Had it not further deepened the ethnic divisions in the country?

Tinubu has spent months in the different hospitals in Europe and America recently. He doesn't even say he is not sick. He knows he is unwell. The APC northern governors know he is infirm. If anything happens to him, would it be out of place to reach a reasonable conclusion that the APC northern governors were working to a certain end?

Must anyone tell any human being that this country is too fragile to take that kind of risk again? For the ambition of just one individual?

Is this even a difficult thing to fathom?

Shetima openly declared that he would be in charge of security of the country; knowing fully well that it is the job for the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

No one has refuted that statement till date.

But the foolish Galatians don't have any problem with that.

Well, it is obvious that Tinubu's lifelong ambition is just to be called president, even for a minute.

Financial inducement works in many ways. Many times it doesn't have to be billions of dollars. Flight ticket here, funeral condolences donation there.

You should know that some of these pastors lack discretion. They don't know what constitute bribe and would even walk into the trap of a chronic bribe giver like Tinubu.

Under the guise welcoming everyone to the church, some of our pastors accept money from any type of character. Father Kukah is mentioned in this report as a beneficiary of Tinubu’s money. Tinubu did it knowingly and already expecting him keep his own side of the bargain.

You can see that Tinubu and APC don't regard Christianity much. You can already sense that they deeply believe that Christian leaders are like commodities that they can purchase. They started by literally RENTING charlatans and gave them cassock to appear in their show. Then they have followed up aggressively with actually paying money for settlement.

The report indicates that money has been paid to some people to soften the stance on rejection of anti diversity and anti-Christian ticket.

The ambiguous, incoherent response of the socalled CAN spokesperson at the end of the report is also indicative of monetary transactions happening between the socalled Christianleaders and Tinubu.

The people behind the socalled settlement should know that they won't be spared when extremists are killing Christians.

Father Kukah should be reminded that his Catholic priests are currently being abducted left right and center everywhere. Imagine collecting money from these people and repaying it back as ransom in multiple fold and blood.

How much have they paid you people? How much is the blood of the Christians worth?

You should remember that there's nothing done in secret that would not be made open. If as a candidate, they have started paying you to keep quiet, what will they do if they get all the instrument of government?

Politics / Re: Dele Alake: Why Some People Are Jealous Of Bola Tinubu by porka: 12:53pm On Aug 28, 2022
Comparing Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Sir Ahmadu Bello with Tinubu is intellectual dishonesty.

These two great men built millions of people through education. They built the two great universities in Ife and Zaria to give people chance to be greater than them. They empowered their people with education to think for themselves.

They never felt it was their business to perpetually lord it over their people and dictating any directions to them. They trained and trained and trained millions of people through education and skills who would take over from them because the recognize that they were just individuals who would soon disappear like any human.

Where is the university that Bola Tinubu built in Lagos? Does anyone know? Bola Tinubu doesn't believe in education and education of the masses. He feels threatened by anyone thinking for himself or herself.

Follow his proteges administrations in Lagos and Osun and Ekiti and you would see the same pattern of destroying education so that no one is mentally equipped enough to challenge him/them.

Since his vice grip on Lagos and a section of the southwest politics, how many universities has been established by him/them? Even the ones established by the preceding governments were badly managed during the tenure of his party. His legacy in education is there for all to see - negative.

His party’s educational policy is to cut down on university education and promote artisanship. The real reason is to reduce intellectual challenges to his rulership. Only his children and those of his lackeys can then be allowed to reason for themselves.

People are now being told clearly through astronomical increase in school fees that university education is for the affluent.

Awolowo promoted education and established the Yoruba nation as the most (arguably) critical thinkers of the black race. Unfortunately, this brilliant legacy has been destroyed. Listening to socalled intellectuals like Alake you would wonder whether it's from Yoruba mind that such hollow reasoning is coming out.

How could a critical mind such as Awolowo’s Yoruba promote an infirm candidate to lead Nigeria and then called a viable alternative a bastard? Is 'ilera' not 'ogun oro' in Yoruba again?

Tinubu is essentially a feudal lord. His leadership style is not beneficial to any modern society. A good leadership style should be about the masses and not granting positions to few people he would use and dump later. It not about taxing every item and collecting 10 percent.

Many of the the people that the late Sadauna and Awolowo mentored still found value in the training they received and are still following them long after their demise. You can still see staunch Awoist, like Pa Ayo Adebanjo etc. and followers of Sadauna's school till tomorrow.

You cannot say that of Tinubu, almost everyone he put in positions have fallen out with him. Those who are left with him haven't been given any SIGNIFICANT position yet - people like Dele Alake who haven't seen more than a commissioner post are the ones still left.

In destroying Awolowo’s unparalleled legacy, Tinubu’s people had to even label Afenifere as Afenifebi.

Sadauna assisted the late Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa and didn't disturb him in Lagos (Federal Government). He was not jealous of his achievements, he didn't feel insecure by Balewa's visibility.

He was contented in Kaduna as a regional head. He didn't feel entitled to own Nigeria. He never called Balewa a bastard. He allowed him to rise to his God ordained position in life.

That cannot be said of Tinubu who would immediately destroy anyone whom he feels is outshinning him and trying to take his 'life-long' dream of owning more than Lagos away from him.

Even Alake himself will fall out with him as soon as he says or does what is in his own mind and not what Tinubu wants to hear or do or what he wants him to say/do.

Have you heard of where Awolowo 'collected' a Senatorial ticket from someone and handed it over to his wife? Did you hear that Ahmadu Bello made any of his children the head of markets in Sokoto or Kaduna?

Has anyone ever read of Awolowo or Sadauna inserting their companies' name into the law of their regions for tax collection? What percentage did Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello’s companies charge for tax collection in their regions?

Defend your feudal lord in peace and leave Awolowo’s and Saduana's names out of it.

This means they will take over the presidency from him immediately he is installed.

The president is literally the supreme head of all security units as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces.

Shettima's statement means they will hijack this constitutional function from Tinubu, whether by subterfuge or by force.
