Crime / Re: Couple Killed Along With Others By Fulani Herdsmen In Taraba. Graphic Photos by positivethought: 2:53pm On Feb 03, 2018
A careful analysis of most of the recent attacks shows that the primary target is the Tiv people in nasarawa n taraba states, this is a well orchestrated plan to forcefully n brutally chase the Tiv people out of neighboring states back to Benue because governor Orton n his Tiv kinsmen who constitute the large majority in Benue has stood firm to oppose n resist Fulani control n domination of Benue state thus encouraging n emboldening other states of the middle belt to do same,as it is now, I will advice the Tiv people in nasarawa n taraba states to move back to Benue for now because the buhari led APC federal government is not willing to do any tangible thing to stop the attacks as a matter of fact buhari is tactically in support of the Fulani expansionist agenda, the states government are helpless n the minority ethnic groups around whose land n domain is been use as a harbour n attack launch ground has been emasculated by the Fulani's hence lack any iota of resistance. governor Orton, the Tiv people n Benue state as whole will have to stand firm n resolute in defending their interest, asslicking buhari with the hope he will help is just a deceptive mirage. the Tiv people has always been hated in the north for their rejection of Islam n for a long time now various means including force, coercion, political carrots etc have been employed without success with the sole aim of taking control of n dominating Tiv land n inevitably Benue, what is happening now is not a surprise to keen followers of this angle of history, but ultimately time shall tell.

Both parties are at a stand still because of lack of constitutional charities, not because of sentiments of your ignorant take on factual constitutional crisis that must be resolved by amending the constitution to clearly articulate everybody's positions and scope of duties.

I still don't see the illegality here.

We both agree that the Senate can confirm and reject candidates, but where is the Nigerian constitution that says the president can not renominate the same candidate?

Show us the part of the Nigerian constitution that says the president can not renominate the same candidate.

I know the reason why many of you are on the side of the Senate per Magu, it's all because of politics, tribalism, bigotry and so on, but asking accused people on trial and under investigation to decide and pick their own favorite prosecutor is not good for you in the long run, not good for any country and their institutions.

so you keep nominating n the
Senate keep rejecting isn't that stupidity, is magu the only northerner or Muslim to head efcc?,keep supporting what is clearly wrong out of sentiments.

You rightfully quoted the Senate's constitutional obligation to confirm or reject executive nominations, but not the executive powers and prerogative to nominate and keep nominating any candidate they desire including Magu.

There is no law under the Nigerian constitution that says the executive cannot keep nominating and sending the same candidate for confirmation.

The Senate is free to keep rejecting Magu, it is their choice per the constitution, but they can not prevent the executive from nominating the same Magu over and over and over and over again.

Bottomline, this ruling means a lot to the Senate, but it means nothing to the President of Nigeria and it doesn't say and can never say the President of Nigeria can not renominate the same candidate.

Now, the Senate should never be allowed to approve heads of agencies like EFCC especially considering the fact that many members of the Senate are under investigation by the same EFCC/Magu, even the Senate president himself.

It's like asking the armed robber to pick and chose his own favorite prosecutor and deciding Judge. It's called conflict of interest.

The Senate by the deciding to place an embargo on Executive nomination approval is unconstitutional and illegal blackmail, they have to do their job which is to confirm or reject nominees.

The President per his powers and equal powers regarding separation of powers has the upper hand and al the Senate can do is to keep saving face with meaningless court judgments and tantrums.

The Nigerian Senate in it's present form is rubbish, unfocused, corrupt, materialistic, self-serving and incompetent.

The law preceded this Senate n this group of senator n magu will not be there forever,so what you saying is rubbish n purely sentimental.

You forgot Taraba. Most people from Nasarawa, Adamawa and Kaduna are also typically anti caliphate, the only problem is that pro-caliphate populations in these states are also large too and politically subjugate the anti caliphate masses.
you are still repeating what I said just in a different form.

Just the same way you cannot really explain how the Hausas and muslims are dominating yorubas and Igbos together, and other christians politically, when infact christians outnumber muslims in Nigeria.

It is a systemic thing. Islam as a religion has always promoted politics among it's people. Whereas the kind of very orthodox and conservative christianity that was brought to most northern christians has always taught us that politics is a bad thing and a dirty game played by candidates of hell fire. Muslims on the other hand have always been taught that it is an abomination for infidels to rule over them, hence they must take politics as a do or die affair and do anything possible to rule over infidels.

The mentality is the problem. Muslims discuss politics in their mosques and how to dominate their terrain, if not now but in the nearest future.

Another reason, is that, Islam teaches you that religious bond is greater than your tribe or your race, but christianity doesn't. This is why you see all muslims drop their tribal differences and support one candidate, but christians will rather fight each other based on tribes.
In Nasarawa state, the muslims have succesfully pitched other christians against the Eggon/Mada people (who are the largest tribe and christian population in the state).. ...So, an Alago christian for instance would rather vote his fellow Alago muslim than an Eggon Christian. Just like the way Igbos are treated by other christians in Nigeria sometimes. ........ But where we christians are foolish is that we don't know than an Alago muslim for instance will rather vote a Hausa man who shares the same religion with him than his fellow Alago who is a christian. It's all tribalism.

This is why Adamawa south, which is clearly and unarguably Christian majority (75% christian) senatorial district, but has a muslim senator! Tribalism!

Most Chamba christians preferred to Support a Chamba muslim canidate than a Bachama christian candidate. Now, the Chambas commanding a very large christian population of the zone, definitely need to join the other predominantly christian tribes for christians to always dominate the zone, but no, they rather support their muslim chamba people in the name of tribal solidarity over religious solidarity. Just like Yoruba christians will rather go with the agenda of yoruba muslims over an Igbo agenda like you saw in the last election.

Christians have no religious solidarity unlike muslims.
yes you are right, having known this, it's time to start enlightening our people, slowly but surely. keep up the mentality n good luck.

I agree with you but don't fall for the lie that Nassarawa is a Muslim state, Nassarawa is 70% Christian state...
If your assertion is true then how come the Christian finds it impossible to produce the state Governor time without number?, Christians from Adamawa will always make the same claim yet apart from the gifts of Boni Haruna n James Ngilari the Christian are yet to win a real electoral contest in Adamawa just like your nasarawa, how do you explain this irony?.

The idea if middle belt though lofty but it can't work for the simple reasons that States such as kogi, kwara,Niger n nasarawa with large Muslim population will always prefer to go with the caliphate n sabotage any effort gears towards otherwise, so Benue n plateau States should just better begin to think of how to organise themselves n stay strong because they are the major target of the core north Hausa/Fulani oligarchy towards total domination n absolute control of the north period.

look I lived in Maiduguri n borno state for over a decade, I'm very conversant with borno in general, if you go to be the southern borno around gwoza, askira uba, chibok, damboa n biu axis where the heart of sambisa forest is suppose to be,the vegetation is better than that, besides if it's not a forest why call it a forest?,what of the electric poles with wires on it,when was sambisa forest electrified?, the APC is just using this NE crisis which was originally a creation of the north for their selfish agenda but had unfortunately spiral out of control,to deceive Nigerians for political gains n nothing more take it or leave it.

I'm sorry for those that still believe the farce that buhari is clean, honest, transparent etc, buhari is just a deadly scheming green snake in the green grass.right now all in a bid to falsely n deceptively appeared not to use government funds for party n electoral purpose come 2019,massive looting of funds under different guises to build a strong financial war chest in preparation for the electionsis going on, sometimes last year there was a story about disquiet in the DSS due to non payment of allowances n the director was said to have responded that it was due to effort to raise funds for 2019,when the illegal payments of subsidy was unearthed recently, osinanjo foolishly claimed it was NNPC n not the government that is paying, just recently saraki cried out about the monumental fleece going on in the petroleum sector yet some fools will want us to believe that buhari n his APC gang are clean while every other person outside is corrupt, but time shall tell.

If you say Johnathan was weak n indecisive that would be totally correct but as for been corrupt I doubt, because of all the so called cases of corruption mentioned no one has come out to say or proof that he or she did any corrupt act for Johnathan's personal or private benefit but if we must accuse Johnathan using the same parameters without hatred or bias then buhari is equally or more corrupt,so just be bold enough n shameless to admits that in retrospect Johnathan was n is a better choice to buhari simple.
