She stays about 35 mins drive to my house,my parents stays about 5mins drive to my house and they can not try such and perhaps. They are too busy for all that nonsense

I’m in my room right now alone here on Nairaland seeking for advice on what to do before I do wrong. I am planning to tell my wife when her mother is gone and warm her never to let such happen again.

Call your wife to order to correct her mom. Do not confront her mom on your own!

I know it's courtesy to inform people before you visit. But this is family, and she's not even coming to stay over. Is it such a big deal that she just popped in to say hello?

Sincerely, you want to hear the truth? She can come to your house anytime sir. I don't even bother to fight such things because she is my mother too so you may need to be a bit patient. If it's garri that is at home, we will take it like that with love. 2 months is too young to start fights on things like these. It is a marathon.

Marriage should be for matured adults only. I can't get angry because my mother-in-law walks into my house without pre-notifying me. Even if she come meet me fucking her daughter, na she and her daughter go fight, nothing concern me.

Your mother inlaw is part and parcel of your family. I think that any member of your family has every right to come to your house anytime they so wish, unannounced.

I will advice you relocate to somewhere far from your in-law.

In Nigeria people don't usually give notification before visiting.
If it is so culturally, there's no harm. Unless one is an introvert.

For OP, is her visit not like a Sunday visit to go later?
Or is it a visit to stay?

Is your wife her only daughter?
Maybe she's missing her a lot.
And is your mother-in-law financially demanding?
There may not be reason to be mad for her visit, it can also be mere love and care. Do not sour the relation in your young marriage. Be wise!
