Okrikans identify themselves as ijaws not igbos,if Okrikans are ok with the ijaw tag then you igbo man can not decide for them, it is not your place to tell others Where they belong.
People identify with those they are comfortable with,if Okrikans are comfortable with the ijaw tag then they are ijaws.
Post any historical document by the colonial masters where Okrika identified themselves as Ijaws and you win. If Kalabari a bigger tribe where majority Okrikan sprout out from didn't identify as Ijaws, is it Okrika that will claim it.

For Nembe, they were an admixture of Ijaws, Benin, Aboh and Oru. Only that the mass migration of Ijaws overwhelmed others. It was in this particular section of Brass that the British pointed anything Ijaws. And it was still from this axis the Ijos continued their eastward march.

You're enabling the land grabbing tendencies and myopia of these delusional Ijaw clowns by asking such preposterous question, there are no indigenous Ijaws in any part of Imo state and Abia. The people in question whom they claim have Ijaw roots are the Ndoki people, a noble Igbo clan in Abia state who simply accommodated Ijaw migrants into their communities (which in hindsight is the biggest mistake they ever made). Ndoki people speak a pure and intelligible Igbo dialect similar to the Ngwa people, and have never for one day denied been Igbos. Now these irritants now want to bring their madness of expansionism into the Ndoki/Asa community in Abia which they're notorious for (I'll tell you why in a short time), but thankfully the Ndoki people were smart enough to cut the cancer off before it spread its malignant tumor, there are several Ndoki/Asa Facebook cultural groups you will find, join them and see how they dealt with the Ijaws who tried to distort their history... they simply chased them away from these groups and sanitized the forums off the filth.

The Ijaws are by nature a homeless and aggressive water dwelling people who will come into your land after you accommodate them, and try to claim it as theirs... they don't even typically live on land as they are a riverine class of people by habit, so they build their communities along creeks and swamps anywhere you find them.

They've had series of clashes with their Niger Delta neighbors, these facts are chronicled so you don't even need to look too far to understand why they are compared to the Fulanis in terms of their encroachful tendencies. Even their Western Ijaw counterparts in Delta and parts of Edo and Ondo states aren't any different if not worse than the Eastern Ijaws.

They have clashed with Urhobos over land in Warri
They have clashed with Itshekiri over land tussle
They have clashed with Isoko's over land
They have clashed with some parts of Anioma over land
They have clashed with Ilaje people of Ondo state
They have even clashed with Yorubas in parts of Lagos, Google Ijaw- OPC clash in Agegunle.
They have clashed with the Ikwerres
They have clashed with the Ibeno people in Akwa Ibom

The list goes on and on... now you get the picture.

You are right in your writeup, but I have some few areas to correct. Ndoki/asa clan of Igbo cut across 3 states of Abia, Rivers and Akwa ibom. In Abia, they occupy Ukwa east and west LGAs, in Akwa ibom, they are found in Ikot Abasi, and in Rivers state, they occupy Obigbo, some parts of Omuma and Eleme, distributed in many parts of Okirika and are the major indigenous occupants of Opobo and Bonny.

So the ijaws who have been trying to claim the outright owners of Opobo and Bonny for many decades want to claim them so as to have the outright ownership of Opobo and Bonny. They know it will not be possible for them to cut the ties between the Ndokis of Opobo and Bonny and the rest in Obigbo and Abia so they started the move to re-write their history and tell them how they (ijaws) and Ndokis migrated and lived together but were influenced by Igbos.

The ijaws has been known since time immemorial to be landgrabbers. They don't grab only land, they claim both land and the people. I know you were surprised to hear him mentioned Abia and Imo. These people are success attachees. Haven't you heard them claiming some part of Anambra state?

There are 3 things that normally attract them:
1. Presence of oil deposits
2. Closeness to Niger river, Orashi river, Imo river or any form of creek
3. Having serious development and prominent cities like portharcourt, Bonny, Opobo, Aba, Obigbo, Warri, Onitsha, Owerri or Benin.

They only states they are not laying claim to in south south and southeast are Enugu, Ebonyi and cross river because of their distance.

Let's even assume there is no agitation in ND region, then in your mind you assume ND region has to be annexed by Biafra?

This is not 12 BC, the same thing you're running away from in Nigeria is the same thing ND tribes are also running away from. Take your Eboe tribes in ND region and go your way

The Biafran agitators want referendum. Referendum is all about democracy. When referendum comes, those who want to be Biafrans will vote accordingly and go. Those who vote against will continue as Nigerians. What is hard to understand here?

Are the Okrikans serious to become Governor? A tribe that is always at war with itself will give outsiders the rights to collect their inheritance. Until the Kalabari and Okrika unite, the Ikwerre will continue ruling. Even the Ibani, Ekpeye, and Ogoni stands a higher chance in ruling Rivers than the both aforementioned group.

I have been to Azubie, Okujagu and Okrika main Island. I was surprised to hear them speak Igbo. Okujagu and Azubie are bilingual in both Igbo and Okrika Ijaw. But Okrika main Island, including Ogu Bolo speaks the Okrika language. I also noticed that the older folks can easily converse with you in Igbo.
These are Ijaw enclaves. The reality is that both tribes have so missed that statistically, you will find the trace of Igbo in most Eastern Ijaw families. '
The hate is unnecessary. Not wanting to be part of Biafra is a different ball game. After all, there are so many Igbos that against Kanu Biafra. You don't hate on the larger Igbo community because of Biafra. That is extremism if properly defined.

Are you sure about that? Where did Tonye Cole get his support from if not the upland? Was it not Amaechi that gave him the Governorship ticket? Who was to blame for Cole's failure at the poll? Kalabari should blame themselves. Afterall it was a Kalabari man in the person of Ojukaye Flag-Amachree that took APC to the court.

Kalabari should blame themselves after all Wike strongest support base is from there.

Tell them, they are looking for minorities to marginalize, u think we can't see through ur antics.

Igbo's are not angry because there is no fairness in the country, they are angry because they are not the ones marginalizing others.

This is a thread when govt favours them, see the real heart of Igbo's on the comments and the Yorubas that were shouting true federalism back then have kept quiet.

Shut up your mouth Mr Afonja and stop forming innocent. The Ijaw deserve the brutality they are getting from the Igbos. Even you Yoruba's are not pure afterall we saw how you fought this same Ijaws in Ilaje, Ajegunle and Warri with your OPC.

But Igbos have never fought Ijaws before. Igbos have always stood behind the clannish Ijaws, yet they get hate in return. The Igbo are beginning to understand the memo by putting the Ijaws in their rightful place.

it shouldn't give u a second thought, that is the heart of an average Nigerian, all a Nigerian wants is wealth, fame and power, how it is gotten is of little importance, that is why I never really like anyone that shouts fair play when the blade is pointing at him cos when it points the opposite direction, a Nigerian will forget fair play, the Yoruba's that were shouting fair play then are now quiet and the Igbo's that were rejoicing are now shouting fair play.

The Igbo's did worse to ijaw in the civil war than Fulani had ever done to them?
They forcefully kidnapped and recruited ijaw youths to warfront, killed ijaw women, and it was Nigerian army that protected the ijaw
