Please who can recommend a school and course for a graduate in English language and literature with 5 years experience in journalism. My agent applied for advertising and media in Algonquin and journalism in kwatlan but I’m just discovering that advanced diplomas are regarded as undergraduate and the other is an ordinary diploma rather than PGD or graduate certificate and I’m scared if I move forward with them I may get rejected for lack of career projection. |

BoluwajiPieters:The likes of MasterCard foundation scholarships are good scholarships, but its conventional and very competitive. If you have good grades (minimum of 2.1) and a strong GPA in your last final two years in the University, look for Professors in Canadian Universities (DLI) whose Research area or areas aligns with yours and send them a non-generic mail (popularly know as COLD MAIL) to make them know you are interested in working with them as a graduate student. Many have gotten funding (scholarships) via this method but not on a one attempt, most time uncountable attempts. If you go to twitter, there are daily massive success stories from Nigerians who got fullyfunded graduate offers in Canada, USA etc. These Prof (most especially STEM Profs.) receive grants yearly from the government and always looking for Prospective Graduate Students who are good fit for their research labs. sweetoma:While you await the response of the gurus, Its not advisable you move forward with the program mentioned cos their qualification is lesser than your already achieved academic qualification. Based on your English Degree and your 5 years work experience in JOURNALISM, you are good to go for a PG. CERT program related to media , journalism , communication, film production. That being said, take your time to visit the links below and do your research on each programs, check the program overview, course curriculum (course outline of the program) admission intakes, tuition amount for international students etc. then apply for the one that suites you based on your academic background and work experience PG. Hello Gloria Do not give up cos it's not over until you win... As our custom is on this thread, order for your GCMS notes so we can know the specific reasons why your application was refused... What you uploaded here are just generic refusal reasons that do not paint the real picture of your refusal... Once your GCMS is ready, drop it here.. Many wonderful peeps here would advise you on the steps to take to get your Visa in your next application... Peace Gloriarchibong: |

Praise going forward I think you need to consult the services of a qualified legal advisor to address these concerns. If you are sure the SOA is legitimate. I believe you'll fix this plight praiseb: |

Omiinii: Thanks, @omiini. I'm still kinda lost as to how a legal person comes in. Please how does this procedural fairness work? It's becoming confusing |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Omiinii: 8:20pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
Please do not undermine the seriousness of the situation and accusation. If he tries to do it on his own his response might be too weak and will eventually lead to a 5 year ban. It's better not to gamble his immigration aspirations. You won't have another opportunity to prove your innocence it's better you get professional help and not blow it, especially with cases involving fraud. If you received a Procedural Fairness Letter, it is highly recommended to retain professional help from a law firm. This is the only opportunity to respond, before a refusal. A detailed response with accompanying documents need to be provided as IRCC has an issue with your application beedyboy: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by Ketima: 8:30pm On Oct 26, 2021 |
praiseb: Let me ask, did you use an agent or was your application done and submitted by someone? If your SOA wasn't fraudulent as VO thought, you may need the guide and expertise of a legal practitioner or an expert in such cases, who will help you out. So sorry about that. |
