Lol. I saw this topic and skipped, so I'm sorry I don't get the context of your comment and so as to know what to respond. And I have no intention of going through the thread now.

The question is a two way question. Men too love their kids more than their wives. Infact, some will openly the the wife that the only reason why they have not thrown them out is because of the kids..so will go ahead an throw the woman out after telling her never to come near his kids. Somebody you here on nairaland have made it clear that the only reason you need a woman is because of kids and nothing more.
But in the case of women, they manage to share the love between their kids and the husband just that the kids need more attention because they are still tender.

The answer as to whether it is correct or not , is likely to be highly subjective.

It’s like asking why Parents seem to have a favorite child. Some will tell you it’s just that they love the Children differently.

Similarly, the Wife may just be loving Her children in a way that’s different from how She loves Her Husband. And not necessarily preferentially.

It's natural for most women probably because of the blood connection they have with their children. OP raised an important point: Children need more attention because they cannot help themselves but fathers are adults.

I am afraid you are wrong! The problem is a psychological one and it is a sign that the woman and her marriage as a whole is not doing so very well.
