I had to wait for my dad before I entered the house. Midway to the car, he lost his life. I was fucking scared..... I’m back alone at home while my mom and dad are still at the neighbor house.....

It's even bad for me, cos as a health personnel, I don't show sympathy to relatives of a dead patient... I just walk away or even be gisting to a colleague right in their presence... I'm that cold, I feel nothing anymore

He took his last breath in my present, I held him till he got cold and his pupils became dilated. Was there when he was officially pronounced dead and held his hand and prayed for his soul.
I was the one who took his wrapped corpse in my car to the morgue because no ambulance wasn't available.

My father died last year, I told myself I'm going to get raid of this phobia for the dead this time around, I went to he's room I tried to look at him I can't, I really tried.
Still have phobia for the dead.

During my first heartbreak. Death isnt just physical, it can be emotional.

Used to be scared somewhat until my dad passed on... Was by his hospital bed full of hope after purchasing all the doctor required from me that night.... I sat beside his bed for a quick nap then someone tapped me, I raised my head and the doc simply ask me to take him to the mortuary. Goose bumps covered my whole body, I cried deeply.

I took him to the mortuary and after that, the fear of dead people left me... Like I ve just experienced the worst so those piles of dead folks there or the stench of chemicals there didn't move me anymore. Sad time.

That was my late sister,back in 2013......She was lying down in her room lifelessly....And no one was around...The worst part was that where she was living was a very remote area where there weren't neighbours........ The minute I arrived,all of a sudden,na once rain begin fall . You can imagine that kind of scary scenario . But I wasn't really scared tho, because she was my closest sister,whom I had always confided in . If I no fit see her run when she was sick and alive,why then should I be be scared and run away from her corpse...........



So I used her cloth to cover her corpse,and waited till the rain stopped......Then I ran back home to inform my dad and other siblings

That was my dad last two years.I couldn't hold back my tears while bathing him.That was my first experience and even had to bath him before the proper burial.

I fought the tears, after the confirmation... But as I remembered her 2years old daughter.. And her husband hustling state..

I couldn't beat the tears..

I remember the day my very good friend died in a bike accident Opone Maximilian.

I can vividly remember that day,few days to 2018 FIFA world cup,when we received the sad news.
I have to rush down to the hospital to confirm my self..behold i saw my very good friend laying motionless as if he was in a deep sleep .
He has been confirmed dead already by the Doctor,no one one was willing to carry him down to the mortuary probably because they are afraid of dead bodies or what.
It was only me and one good Samaritan and the ambulance guy that carried his dead body to the mortuary.
That was the first day I stepped my foot inside mortuary.. Mehn u have to be brave and man enough to handle the situation there.
Dead bodies littering everywhere..truly this life is vanity upon vanity.

My dad's death really expose me to this mortuary stuff.... Oboy see dead bodies every where .....I visited the mogue like 5times before he was eventually buried .....the last 2visit doesn't even scare me anymore ....that shit messes with me I swear

Sometimes this year during the rain season, I was on Oregun road inside a petrol station because of the heavy rain. It was closing hour, so school pupils were going home. One of them, a girl of about 12 years old, was playfully dipping one leg in the drainage, then she fell into it and got washed down by the heavy flood.

People had searched but no one could do anything. About 15 minutes later, I came close to the drainage. As an Ilaje boy wey I be, I noticed the water wasn't flowing well. It flows and undulate at a point. The girl was stopped by an iron bar used in drainages to stop dirts from flowing. That was how I dived into the drainage and brought this girl out. Chai, she was already dead. She took the water in her head as I could see.

I blamed myself for not coming out early enough. Probably I might have saved her life

The only dead body I've ever touched was my dad when I was seven years old.
