I think it is all about intent. Magic could be termed miracle if it intent is to free or heal (good of mankind).
While miracle must be for the good of mankind.

The Egyptians performed all they did just to hold the Jews captives while Moses did all he did to make a statement on freedom for his people.

I believe I have tried explaining without spiritual undertone.
You have a point
But majorly as we've seen, miracles are done for good purposes.

In African tradition we have awo white who consult oracles for good things and the others who consult oracles for evil .

But miracle can't be use for evil I guess that's the major difference, but magic can be use for good and bad

The guy is really crazy if he indeed made such claims. Some of these so called born again Christians are really suffering from fanaticism and delusions. I am a Christian but I believe one should reason with his brain and not just be religious and fanatic.
Buliwyf:

Yes he did. It is a well-known claim of his if you frequent the religious section regularly. I wish I could find the thread for you but then I will have to dredge through his lunacy filled threads and that is not good for my sanity.

Just ask anyone that knows his history well.

[s]Don't get confuse, the act of the miracles of moses.

Miracle and magic are the same.[/s]

The Jews still practice stuff included in six and seventh book of moses.

Judaism and Christianity are totally different. Moses was not a christian, besides he was a prince of Egypt and he knows the Egyptian practice.

Israel and Egypt has been close friends from ages. You just decided to call the Egyptian priest magician and moses doings miracle lol
Despite both doing same thing
Exodus 7:8-13
8Now the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
9“When Pharaoh says to you, ‘Work a miracle [to prove your authority],’ then you say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh, so that it may become a serpent.’”
10So Moses and Aaron came to Pharaoh, and did just as the LORD had commanded; Aaron threw down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.
11Then Pharaoh called for the wise men [skilled in magic and omens] and the sorcerers [skilled in witchcraft], and they also, these magicians (soothsayer-priests) of Egypt, did the same with their secret arts and enchantments.
12For every man threw down his staff and they turned into serpents; but Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.
13Yet Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said.

Let me with Exodus 7:8-13 above, clear you, on what is the distinction between miracle and magic

As you read from Exodus 7:8-13 above, magic draws upon power that is not directly from God while miracles are the result of God's power, meaning, miracles, is the use of divine power in a way that is lawful, practical and in harmony with the will of God.

Miracles are acts of God, while magic is an act of man. Miracle is Godcraft while magic is witchcraft

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.

Peace out to you too. You guys should check what happened to your uncle and stop lying against a book. Me I personally know a greater number of people that tried the book and nothing happened to them. This is not the first time someone will be lying on Nairaland for something so ridiculous, trust me. It is basic human nature. If we check well now you may not even be close to the said uncle. Because we know most people refer to older distant relatives as uncles in Nigeria so that is not proof enough. Sorry. Sometimes ego trip is higher than monetary gain.

We just don't believe you. Bring better proof. C'est fini.

Who are the we. Na you sabi. Anything that rocks your boat.

Please don't worry much about that one. She's obviously demonically influenced and here to defend the interest of the devil who she obviously works for here.

You can see how she's passionately defending her master's interest here.

To God be the glory that the works of the devil were being exposed.

From the epistle you wrote , the major difference you stated is one is believed to come from God and the other not from god despite performing same act of wonders .

So its just mean someone can refer miracle to magic if the person is not a christian.

Thats what you get from the translation of six and seventh book of moses

I opened the book once before, just one time
It was a pdf version which was very hard to me to find but I got it.
All I found there were names of angels, insignia to draw for rituals, time to do these rituals and how to do them
Some rituals requires you to be sexually pure for a long time before the ritual (by sexually pure, I mean very sexually pure)
Some requires a long period of fasting
And so on.
If you fail to meet these requirements and still do these rituals anyways, you’re in for some pretty bad consequences
Also, if I remember correctly, the rituals are about summoning “angels”. I put quotation marks cause I myself still doubt if the rituals summon actual angels of God or just demons disguising as angels of light

I just skimmed through it with trepidation, and deleted it shortly after. It’s been more than 3 years now. Nothing do me
I had the pdf around last year. I cant remember how it disappeared from phone. ur observation is valid

Most of what you've heard about those books is pure hocus pocus and outright bunkum.

Free your mind

The conventional Bible has 66 books

The catholic Bible has about 72

There are a category of books known as the apocryphal and deuterocanonical books.

It's all politics and scare mongering to get you caged.

The taste of the pudding is in the eating.

Just like the serpent told Adam and Eve, you will not die... Your eyes will only become open and wise.

7th book of Moses ain't gonna make u mad no more than the book of Jasher wud make you mad.

The issue is whether or not you'd understand what you're seeing and reading.

The letter killeth but the spirit giveth life.

OP, it seems you are lying.

Point 1.
If you are a believer, and an adult, why are you interested in creating a thread about a book you already know to have a demonic origin?

Point 2.
Your claim that your friend went mad because he was gifted the book is false. Either they lied to hide the origin of his insanity (most likely hard drug abuse induced) or you made up the story yourself.

The reason for saying this is;

1, Anything spiritual requires a participation.
2. Having a book or even reading it without believing in it will have no effect on you whatsoever.
a, Reading a self helo book will not help you unless you practiced the steps required of you.
b, Reading the bible without truely believing in Christ Jesus will not grant you salvation.
c, Merely recieving or reading the 6 & 7, the 8 & 9 or 10 & 11 books of moses if there are anything like those will not make anyone go insane unless he participated in the rituals and demonic invocations if there are any in them.

I have seen and read the book, just like I would read any novel I could get my hand on in my teen years. A friend's late dad has many of the books like that.
Can't even remember anything about the content now.. but I can bet that non of us (group of friends experienced anything extraordinary)

I won't recommend anyone going to read it or any book like itm though, because it's a waste of time. And more importantly, don't believe the hype about those books, it's designed to make people courious and fearful about them. There's nothing to see in it.
I disagree with the OP. I also read the 6 &7 book some years ago and nothing the OP said about insanity after reading or touching the book is true.

Whether demonic or not, once you did not participate in the rituals there is nothing to be afraid of. We all need to be knowledgeable in the mystery of life so as to be guided.

As i said earlier, you need serious deliverance from the demons controlling you, otherwise expect to keep fighting against those who speak the Truth and expose the works of the devil. Not surprised though as i expected this topic to attract the demonically influenced and agents of the devil including those posing as atheists here like you, because it exposes the works of the devil whom you work for here.

So keep justifying the post and proving me right with your comments.

Even the five books of Moses were not written by Moses.

Why care about the 6th & 7th book of Moses?

They are all products of excessive copying and editions by unknown men!
it's like I believe you, otherwise why Moses would be calling himself Moses in a book he is writing,
Whereas John says in revelation "I John".

He specifically clarified he is the one who wrote revelation, whereas Moses didn't clarify actually if he was the one writing the book.

I think it's called book of Moses by the writer mainly because it all has Moses as the one that played major roles on the first first books
