You know, for one straight week, things were going well.

I looked at the double lines, then at Ruth, then the lines again. I wish I could wake up from my nasty dream.

"Okay what do you want?" I asked.


"I want to keep it, I don't care what my family thinks, highest you'll get involved, maybe your parents too, but then I already applied to further my education and admission list would soon be out. I'm just confused, if my name comes out and this belly matter cast, my education is gone."





Okay, I smelled an opening, so I pounced on it like a cat.

"Baby, it would all be okay. I'll very much like to have a child with you but right now, you know I'm still finding my feet, it would drag all of us down if this matter cast.

Since it's still early and you're expecting admission list to be out soon, why don't we wait first, if you get admission, you'll make your decision to choose between your school or the belly, but if you don't get admission, then I'll come meet your parents."







She stared at me strangely and then sighed and nodded.


I shifted towards her and carried her in my arms, she flooded my chest with tons of tears as I gently stroke her hair.



Funny enough I still got an erection. What a freaky goat was I, my mind don dey calculate nacking pregnant woman inside my list of fuckachievements.



When Ruth noticed it, she laughed and quickly stood up. She came back and gave me a warm kiss before promising to send night food for me later.


Less than five minutes later, the back door opened again and somebody walked into my room, I was changing my shirt, I gasped when I saw the person, that moment a text entered my phone.


"Hey babe, how far?" I stammered as Blessing walked to the bed and sat down.


She was looking so downcasted that I felt like karma was playing me the same tape all over again.



I picked my phone and walked to the bed, as I sat down, I opened the message, it was from Ruth.



"So after you've pregnated me, you have gust to call another girl abi? Na me be use and dump. Weldone. We shall See."




The text read, I freaked out and looked at Blessing.



"What happened between you and Ruth outside?" I asked.


But all Blessing replied me with was a gentle sob. I stared more keenly to noticed that she was crying.


Like what the fucccck is going on?



"Babe why are you crying?"



"That's because despite all what I'm feeling for you, I'll always have to compete with that your Ruth of a girl. What did you see in that girl that I don't have?" She spatted.



"But that is not enough reason for you to be crying nah?" I asked.



"That is because I am pregnant for a guy that takes me as his side chick." She said and bursted into another stanza of tears.




If stroke didn't kill me that moment, I'm not sure stroke fit catch me again.


My brain completely formatted. I was brain dead for some seconds.

When the settings begin come back, I found myself laughing....

Slowly at first but then it became a joint bursting laughter, I was literally rolling around in joy.

Even Blessing stopped crying and stared at me weirdly.


"What's funny?" She asked when I calm down.




"Babe, remember that my chick that you saw when you were coming. Well she came to also inform me that she was pregnant for me. So you see, I don't have anymore shock to give, I'm exhausted already." I said.



She bursted into hotter tears. "Peter is that what you'll say to me? It's not your fault, I was the one that thought getting pregnant for would finally make you to love me, but I guessed wrong.

Not only was I wrong, but I still have to compete with your babe for belly issue.

Peter, I'm keeping this pregnancy. Let's see who your parents would choose between me and her, I don't care what lengths I'll go."





She swiftly grabbed her bag and walked out.....




I sat motionless for minutes, then stood up, grabbed my stuffs and went to my lonely jungle.





As I don drag my blaze reach middle, one wicked memory hit my brain, I smiled as I replayed the event.












The words of my father kept ringing in my ears. I had just finished secondary school and be like Mumsy don dey whisper some things into his ears.

Now you might feel like bashing the hell out of me. Well go ahead, I don't really care.

A normal human being would know that having sex multiple times without protection could lead to things like this.


But then I was assured of girls that I nutted in.

Ruth na Sabi girl, and she knows my condition but then I'm sure she forgot that I had barely moved out of home, it was just about 6 months since I left my folks.

And just like that, it came all crashing down. She weighed the pros and cons and made a decision but she never gave out the baby clothes, she kept them for next time.




Oh my unlucky soul, I was the next time.



This was a plan to finally have me to herself and get rid of her rival, if only her rival wasn't bearing the same cross as she was.

For about two weeks, I got to experience what it meant to be a family man.

Blessing friends had been speaking to her, she knew it I was the influence behind it cause she never informed any of them.

So she used that to punish me for days on end.

I literally became her errand boy. Blessing would call me as early as 5am, complaining of morning sickness and shiiit, I no fit complain cause I know say if she inform her folks, matter fit go south easily.


Every morning naso she go dey wake up with different sickness.
Na God go bless one pharmacy wey dey near my house, the man dey sleep for shop, so as early as 6am, e don open.


On the third day when I patronized him so Early, he casually dropped a comment.

I just zip my mouth and smiled, paid for the drugs and left.

Blessing would meet me outside her house, we get one corner wey we dey hang, she'll make me massage her joints and pet her tire, the babe go just dey smile like all this Indian actress.


I no know say I still get romantic side, but this chick made me say Unspeakable things just to soothe her mind.

My relationship with Ruth suffered the most.

Anytime I dey with Ruth, she must surely call. And if I no pick, na problem.


The phone dey always dey on speaker, that's after pleading with Ruth to be patient with me.

But then that was what made the bond between Ruth and I almost inseparable.

After the calls, she'll just sigh and lean on my shoulders.
