First time cooking afang and it came out just right after using pocohantas recipe.

Nice one. I wouldn’t know which was much or shorting, hence the water, but it only gets better. Hope you enjoyed it?

Dinner from last night:

Shrimp and tofu pasta topped with grated parmesan cheese and parsley flakes.

Guess I added the tofu to early cos it melted. Whoever has a better way of cooking it should advise.

The truth is that Covid was “expected” to ravage Africa as in people falling down in the middle of the streets with bodies on the side walks. But that didn’t happen. Hence the question of did it even get there?

Of course it makes sense to calculate that it did get to us much like other parts of the world but our non-existent record keeping makes it hard to know exactly how affected we were.

Around every corner on earth it was happening, we all heard, watched news and saw pictures of people dieing in the streets etc I looked back at when another contagion (Ebola) happened - we know how a contagion 'virus' behaves/spread in crowded places.
I always say thank goodness it didn't get to Nigeria...but oh well!

Eh, this trend is really worrying somehow. But please you people should not come for my head eh, I'm just curious.

Why are whites so obsessed with what they eat? I do understand the need, but not the obsession. Like "I'm suddenly 1kg overweight and I have to go on a diet even though I'm pregnant" type of obsession.

There are times you let go and live, and there are times to get serious but they always count calories and analyse where the food is from and how it is cooked etc.

For me it's the obsession that's a turn off. I'm in this forum of pregnant women, and a lot of them have been told that only a certain amount of weight is okay to add during pregnancy. Halfway through, they are panicking if they are not gaining enough or gaining too fast, forgetting that they are pregnant and each individual is different.

By the way most lose that weight after birth. Some even go as far as dieting while pregnant. Of course it doesn't mean one should eat like a horse, but satisfying your cravings once in a while, pregnant or not won't kill you.

Okay, end of rant.

Tomatoes are fantastic in soup ooo! MY mum used to make this tasty egusi soup with tomatoes and mangala fish back in the 90s. It was amazing stuff... undecided
