You are right tho, I get where you are coming from but my arguments with that guy was that "why women love money" and I was simply telling him that men loves Beauty in women, so why can't women want money in Men.

And in another way, I know beauty doesn't last forever and for some guys after the glamour of "oh my girlfriend/wife is so beautiful" has finished, it's now left for personality or character to take over but guys, most guys dont give attention to ugly girls to know whether they are amazing or not.

From the beginning of time, men are seen as the head of the house and even if feminism have grown, it's still doesn't change the fact men are seen as the head of the house and after a lady gets married, she is takes her husband name.

So in a way women always want a man to be the head of the house, take responsibilities, provide for the family, so that the reason most women go for men with money because they know they wont suffer, everything will be provided.
Now getting to your point now, in Nigeria which is kind of very traditional, will a man be happy if his wife have more money than him NO, they have pride and wont be happy and even if the woman have their own money, the husband will definitely wants to he richer.

Anyway, it's good for women to work for their own money but MOST women who is rich wont go for a man who she is richer than so it's basically the same thing, women want money in Men.

See I know about "Pretty privileged" ok, growing up I was pretty then i lost my Mom and many circumstances made me to start adding weight.
I could count how many guys looked my way because I was "fat" even broke guys, and how many guys "fat shamed me" Now that I have lost tons of weight and looks so amazing with perfect shape and everything, I started having favours from men, now I am something special.
