@Tpurple.
When appealing are you able to demonstrate all the VO requested. It is also not too late to establish a relationship by call logs and chat between both of you, that can be made as document and added to other documents requested from you. You can also add evidence of antenatal visitations using the antenatal card, also a pregnancy scan result, explain in details how both of you met before you got wedded. It is not bad if your gynaecologist can write a cover letter on your behalf. Send all documents to your solicitors to follow up . Pls ask your husband to also send his payslip and updated bank statement. Your husband must have a minimum of 6000 euro in the updated bank statement. It should be documented that you weren't pregnant until your husband came into Nigeria in February for your wedding anniversary.
I don't advice that you go to Abuja Embassy without any invitation from them.

I hope this helps, others can also assist her with ideas

There is diff btw applications when a sponsor is living in Ireland prior to the marriage and after the marriage and sufficient doc should be available to proof relationship. Concerning this woman's case, I read the reasons for refusal, I think they did not do some things properly. I don't know how many times the husband visited before marriage but he should have visited at least twice in the last two years before the marriage. She said he visited in Feb for their marriage, I don't think that's enough. Both of you have not lived together as married couple, it's kinda difficult, it's going to look like an arranged marriage for the purpose of visa and that's what is stated there. Moreso, he has two daughters as you stated, I screenshot policy doc 15.2 talking about being monogamous, it's left for you to show docs to sought where those two girls came from, maybe he's divorced or maybe you should not have included it if no legal doc is available, I mean if the girls are not from a marriage. Nothing is impossible for but I think, you should encourage him to visit more then you can reapply after some time, Haven sought other reasons. You can email me to explain better. That's my opinion

@Tpurple I have gone through the reasons for your refusal, interpreted and fully understood it. I want to say that the solicitor just collected ur money, he doesn't really understand the situation. U were not convincing enough with ur documentation, I'm sorry to say, even if u appeal it will come same, I'm being honest. What I will advise is ask ur husband to visit Nigeria anytime soon, gather the necessary documents to address the reasons for refusal then reapply again. Ur situation is kinda tricky and you can only beat it if you fully understand the reasons for refusal, I mean fully understand. Every section of the policy doc that you were directed to pls read and understand, also understand the reasons behind ur refusal. This is blunt but I hope it helps.

Hello, please i'm trying to apply to join my husband in Ireland. He is a critical skill permit holder. I'm trying to apply from the Abuja Visa office but on their application page, it have two options: Join family and Long stay join family. No slots available for the long stay join family. Please is there a difference between the two because Lagos office has only Join family displayed on their page? The customer care isn't helpful. they said there are no slots but couldn't tell me if there was a difference. I sent an email, the response on the mail is different. The mail said i should use microsoft browser and it's working but it's not. I keep sending them a mail and response is same. please i need help thank you.

Hi, please refer to the below. The embassy uses a Visa Application Center (VAC) provider called VFS.

I have attached the Department of Justice guidance page on Family reunification for all categories. https://www.irishimmigration.ie/coming-to-join-family-in-ireland/joining-an-irish-national/join-family-visa/

The guide contains the most exhaustive requirements for the application and it is regularly updated. You'll find the online Irish visa application form AVATS on the page too.

Visa applications are submitted to the embassy through VFS. The step-by-step guide to submitting your application can be found here https://visa.vfsglobal.com/nga/en/irl/apply-visa

Thank you for responding. Yes, i'm familiar with the steps and all. The issue is booking appointment. It provides two options similar to the category i need: Long Stay Join Family and Join Family. It says that there are no slots for long stay but i see slots for join family. i'm wondering what the difference is between the two and if anyone is encountering issues booking an appointment with VFS. their customer care and mail are saying two different things.

This is what i mean. See attachment. There's long stay join family, there's join family. Rather confusing.

I asked, my wife selected the plain Join Family.

When you submit your application through AVATS, I believe you should see options for Long Stay (D) with reason for travel being "Join Family (Non-EEA nat.)(spouse)".

To resume middle of August.
Hospital is not providing accommodation hence I need to sort myself out.
Please Anyone that has information on accommodation in South Dublin D16 to be precise should holla Me.
Will be travelling next week
Re: Irish Join Family Visa Enquiries Part 0 by Blueberry111112: 7:18am On Aug 02, 2022
I hope they are providing temporal accomodation for at least two weeks to help you settle in. Because hotel, airbnb or any temporal accomodation now will be at the highest price now in dublin. This is the peak of summer!
If they haven’t, go and force them to…don't be scared. Except you gave alternatives with friends or family…

My family's situation is same. We appealed for my spouse and child in December after being denied in November. Nothing yet till now. This is madness.

Hi everyone, I submitted a Join spouse visa application in March. I plan to withdraw that in October if I don't get a response from them by then and apply for a study visa. I'd like to know if anyone here has done something like this and what are the chances that the study visa will be approved?

Thank you so much

@ Seloverando, was it Join family visa ( under critical skill employment permit) ?

From the experience I had previously, I would suggest you withdraw the application and put in new application. 1year 8months is too long and yet the waiting is endless.

Thanks.

Good day house, I would like to point something important. If you know your spouse has been living in Ireland before your marriage, you must approach your application differently and must meet some criteria. It is different from a case where you marry before he or she travelled. Hope you understand.
