I currently earn a little over 80k. I want to start a relationship but I don't see it working out with a partner not engaged in a reasonable venture or employed.

It will be tough to cater for her and also her and also my self... You have to consider housing, feeding, medical bills and transportation at least una go dey go church once Ina while.

Also, I would love to start saving to build my own house or an extra source of income. That wont work out with a lady who has nothing doing

ok u didn't get me there... What I mean is that imagining me watching a movie, laughing and my husband is in the kitchen cooking and washing plates i don't know but it doesnt sounds right to me. Yeah, I can still be sleeping and my husband make me breakfast i will gladly accept it or maybe I am late and he make dinner it cool not when am doing nothing even if he willingly offer we will be there together doing the work. I know some married men earning below 100k and still coping with their spouse.. It all balls down to understanding and spending prudently.. This country is not easy especially when you don't belong among the elite.. There are very little jobs, and even the jobs that are available are underpaid.. Na God go help us for this country.

Solely plan on the 100k first before thinking of what the other person brings to the table. Any man with such “bring to the table” mindset does not go far in life, let’s be realistic for once.

Let me start by telling you that I earn 92k monthly and I can categorically tell you that I fend for myself and my siblings and if the thought of settling down with a Nigeria lady ever cross my mind, then I will go ahead and marry her comfortably with that same monthly salary... I will still carter for all her needs even if she's a working class or liability.

Life is all about planning, you don't have to be on a monthly wage of 5mil for you to marry and be comfortable, with 100k, you can marry, live a comfortable life and enjoy your stay on earth.... You just have to plan and work smart.

you be serious amebo oo. Wetting concern you for how a family wants to spend their income ? This should be very relative. Does it mean whatever she tells you is how another family who earns same income will spend their own ?

It is dependent on the preferences, choices, decisions, priorities, destination, where they live, amongst others. If you’re told based on lagos standard of living, what if they’re living in ebonyi ? There house rent could be cheaper among foodstuff, if who answers you lives in Ebonyi, what if the couple practising it lives in Kano?

What if they don’t like red meat which is cow meat and it’s expensive so they opt for fish? But who answers you loves red meat so can’t exclude cow meat?

I swear you no get sense. I’m sure you will marry wrong ! Don’t go and plan your marriage with your suitor/spouse, be looking for another person’s standard of living to use and live your own.
