Despite large number of students going to school this days, plus increased learning hours and classroom attendance, students are becoming increasingly unintelligent. Some students' lack of interest in intellectual pursuit is a thing of concern.
Some parental pressure on schools for quick and fast results for their wards without minding the means through which the school uses in obtaining such results poses a threat to nation building.
The willingness in some schools to compromise value in order to keep their clients hinders proper nurturing of our future leaders. Innocent minds are often exposed to the compromise of schools in their quest for cheap examination successes through malpractices, how can such students be encouraged to read?
Not to mention teachers' indifference in carrying out disciplinary actions in classrooms.There are no longer "Career Teachers", the teaching field had become a mere "waiting hub" where jobbers stay until they get a bigger job offer hence commitment to nurturing our future leaders is undermined.
