This your comment is one of the reason we dealth with Igbo yesterday...
Yoruba own Lagos and that's not even up for argument.. 🤷
The only problem I've with Igbo is that Lagos no man's land tag, we won't take that shit from you...

Take Igbo money out of Lagos and it would crumble. The politicians being Yoruba doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

Lagos was Nigeria's capital from 1914 to 1990. Whatever semantics you use, doesn't change this fact.

The aggression towards Igbos in the last election has little to do with Igbos...its the realization that Lagos belongs to all Nigerians equally and if free and fair elections are conducted, tribalistic Yorubas will lose because sane Yorubas will always be on the side of the true progressives.

You're in the same position the red indians were long ago....they cant talk of owning America now....Lagos is following same trajectory

The Lagos capital territory was Lagos Island, Ebute Meta,Ikoyi and some part of Victoria Island. Present Lekki to Epe, Ikorodu, Ikeja, Mushin, Agege, Yaba, Surulere, Apapa, Ilupeju, Gbagada, Ajegunle, Badagry were under the Western Region

I am sure you have heard of boundary market at Ajegunle, that was the boundary between Lagos and Western Region at that axis.

That incident happened in 2013....that's 10 years ago. It's hard to get such sources.

I think what actually happened was that OUK told Fashola that Lagos doesn't belong to him when he deported some Igbos to Onitsha.

However, Lagos State government twisted it and stated that OUK called Lagos State a no man's land. Fashola would later seal off his house because of the statement .

Fashola na my man, na im know how to handle these our brothers well, this sanwolu man is too gentle for a governor, imagine those lekki celebrities toying with him anyhow. I just weak

Lagos state was never FCT. Lagos Island, a tiny part of Lagos state was once FCT and that ended 22 years ago. So, the Yoruba people of Lagos owns Lagos.

The state also has Egun people who are largely the inhabitants of Badagry. Like the Yorubas, they have fellow tribesmen in Benin Republic.

I doubt Lagos state has any local Ijaw people like Ondo state

Point of corrections it ended in 1992, that is 31 years ago.

Babangida moved it to Abuja when he narrowly escaped death during Gideon Orkar led coup in 1990

Development to Lagos came by virtue of being capital territory and the resources to do so was and still 100% Nigerian resources esp Niger Delta

What has tribunal got to proving someone notable called Lagos a no man's land in contemporary times?

You only used it to rally tribal sentiments. People say Orji Uzo Kalu made the statement,
is he not in APC? Are you guys not supporting
him?

You may go to the tribunal to defend that too

Moreover, what's the point in exaggerating?

As far as Lagos is concern, its going gradually.
Give it 40yrs or sooner if a sane commander in chief that will not allow thugs for election comes

What are you talking about when did we discuss GEJ? and what has that got to do with this?
There was violence across the country people were killed and some states could not complete the election so what is your obsession with Lagos
why are you not worried about Anambra or with sit at home Monday

That's why I want Obi to be sworn in, to bring sanity to Nigeria. I believe he'd win at the courts. If he doesn't, it is Nigeria's loss because Tinubu will not bring sanity.

You think Obi lost inspite of your enlightenment. Every enlightened person knows its Nigeria's loss.

You said there was widespread violence and yet think Igbos lost! Every time we vote for the right candidate and many Nigerians vote for the worst to spite Igbos, Igbos always win eventually because we adjust for the coming failure. Bubu was a case study

Yorubas voted north twice Igbos have voted PDP north twice so what's your point

Like I told you before this elections

The difference is in the politcs of each region

A Yoruba will be patience enough to Que behind Atiku .. a northerner knowing his votes count .. to get closer to power ..

Is the party in power that has a chance of winning ..

First is to get power .. second is to negotiate from a place of power

G5 knew that the Labour Party was the end of Atiku and that gave them power to negotiate ..

Had an Obi remained in PDP .. there will be nothing like G5 and the election would have favored PDP..

PDP now in power .. has it been they won .. will now present igbos the opportunity to present their case … the Justice will fight for them

But look

Food no done .. Una wan the eat am

Tinubu knew Gej was to go for 8 years of southern president

He had ambition

He quiet the ambition .. to get close to power .. instead he supported Buhari.. he had the chance to present himself over Gej

Same Tinubu when he got to power after 8 years of patience

Now openly declare .. EMILOKAN..

Why didn’t he the last 4 years.. why didn’t he .. the last 8 years

This is politics that Igbos have not learn and will never ever learn

You asking questions don’t mKe sense

You people were warn all this will happen .. and it’s happening .. this is Nigeria .. not some eastern region alone

Now in your mind tell me .. how igbos want to get to President with Labour Party.. ??

You guys burn the bridge that would have assist you..
And funny you were decieved by always showing how Jonathan won without core north..

Forgetting Jonathan was in power and govenment before the elections

Now he has gone to broker a deal with the Yoruba Tinubu

Ask again

Aside the Supreme Court.. how do you intend to get to presidency

If obi didn't happen PDP would never respect Igbos ...never ..u yourself would not be here seeking alliance with Obi ... that's a fact you might even feel minister of state is enough compensation for him

Even with rigging obi is bringing potential 7 million votes to the table ...with PDP structure he would add extra 2 million votes to the table ......this gives him power to negotiate

If PDP is holding meeting with obi today he would sit at the highest of highest if tables ....no body would respect you when they don't know what you bring to the table

He is an authority in Nigeria political history, there is another Prof of South South origin.

Read " Why we struck" by one the people involved in the first coup in Nigeria

Get educated about the role played by Prof Ben Nwabueze an authority in Constitutional law, in the current constitution that made the center so powerful. This is a major reason for the marginalization we are suffering today.

Before Ironsi used Nwabueze to shift power from the regions to the center, things were better in the country

spot on

What Peter Obi did was the bravest and best decision, he gave us a bargaining rights. At a point even Kwankwaso was belittling him and the his movement. If he doesn't get his mandate back from the SC, he should aligne with other major parties from the north and broker deals, He can bargain on a strong footing.

I haven't heard from Kwankwoso since the presidential elections.
