Na una favourite verse be that. That's why atheists call you guys cherry pickers.

Don't forget the same bible also says husbands submit to your wife and any man that can't care for his family is an infidel.

You see now ... you brought Christianity in now you said bible said husbands should submit to a woman... see your life ... it's said love your wife... a man is superior... respect that then the man must love a submissive wife ... simple ... you see that equal right is no problem to me ... just share bills too and other responsibilities too ... why should a man love an abusive wife ...

You have a point but I thought the man sponsored the wife to the UK with his money?

He probably did still believing the marriage was intact and within his firm control.

She probably played along to get what she wanted.

Still typical example of "use and dump". "Previous unresolved domestic violence" my ass when she gladly accepted him sponsoring her abroad. Unresolved indeed, as if husbands were always the wicked and guilty partners in relationships. Like men don't overlook bad behaviour of their wives.

while the woman maybe right the decision was laced with emotions & not properly thought out. how is she going to combine schooling, working and taking care of 3 children? in London for that matter. worse still she divorced the man so there's no hope of financial assistance from him since he would be supposedly in naija. men.. she will regret this decision. knowing fully well that UK law favors her, she would have used the man to balance hustle and bring funds for upkeep.
she will definitely suffer for a long time. chaiiii....

Can the possibility she already find herself a boyfriend be ruled out, maybe she even lives together with a man hence why she had to ensure the husband no follow her reach house.

The whole action seems premeditated, thats my red flag

Ephesians 5:21- submit to one another.

Don't even try it. You made it about christianity when you equated a husband to God. Where did that thinking come from?

Women will never accept they did wrong, they will find every means to bring in domestic violence to save face at all cost.
A woman will bring bastard home and still claim she did it to save the man reputation

If the husband was a beast indeed why can't the wife go through the proper process to divorce the man and seek custody of the kids @least she stands favorable hearing abroad, all that evidence her friends were bragging they have why not put it to good use in court.

A woman just defrauded a man of his children and she knows so well "Domestic violence" in one sure umbrella to hide under, just shout he slap me and the whole society will hang the man

when Mercy aigbe was sleeping around all she did to justify her infidelity was post picture of swollen lips and that was it, Gentry was hanged. Nedu ex wife till date never accepted she did wrong despite proof those kids are bastards.

IF the man is evil and there are evidences then why use deceit to take the kids why not go for a fair hearing in court abroad
That gender Sabi lie die... man wey never collect that blackmail go dey claim strong man... I dey always look them laugh... very funny lots ... her actions shows she wasn't a good woman in the first place ... I will never support beating a woman ... just send am away before she turns one into a monster... they Sabi abuse like crazy

When we give opinion in an issue we're not 100% sure of we should try not to act as if we were present when the whole thing started.

Great, then keep quiet if you don't know the whole story. Or why are you suggesting that she shouldn't have left him with nothing to fall back on?

When they were together, did he have anything? If she had died in that marriage, who will you be preaching to to be wise?

You don't know the whole story but you're judging her action.

Always balance your statement, don't be one sided until you here from both sides, also everything might be true but can also be exaggerated to paint him more evil.

This is literally the other side of the issue! We've heard from both sides.

Man: My wife has filed to have me deported back to Nigeria. She collected my kids from me. She left me stranded at the airport. I need a job. Help me, please.

People: Women are w.ic.ked. Women are evil. That's how they become demons in obodo oyinbo. Because they want to be free, they'll treat a good man bad! Fear them!

Woman comes out to clarify: That's not what happened. I was abused. He couldn't hold a job. He beat my kids and kept them away from me. He didn't send me to the UK. He wants to blackmail me.

People again: Ummmmm, I'll wait to hear from the other side of the story. They just want to demonise the man sfkofedcjuiknffdfsvdjjgddh.

The man literally came to share his story first! He had the chance and the attention of the public! Everyone was on his side.

When he came to demonise the woman, and people piled on her----were they present?! Did anybody give her the benefit of doubt? If she had formed a "mature silent woman" that is how the public opinion against her would have remained damaged, and everyone will be using it as an argument point. Same with the Hakimi case till this day.

And mind you, the man and his relatives have kept quiet. The friend of the man who came to share the story posted another screenshot from him, he said he wasn't going to say anything anymore after seeing the push back of evidence from the wife and her friends. You think an innocent person would not have come out to defend themself since?

For me i don't really care if they divorce or not, but at least he should start up life from there, just that grace from his wife.

He should start up life from there so he can continue to pummel and leech off her 👍.

If the reverse was the case, I'm sure you will talk down on the man. There's a name for that "women can do no wrong" syndrome.

He "enslaved and brutalized" her but somehow still allowed her to japa to a brighter future abi?

It's a good Nollywood script, I admit.

I also feel there's still more to this story , while I do not support the man beating his wife , I'm usually not quick to jump to any conclusions when a woman is involved. This could just be the surface of everything that has happened

The man is very foolish. How can you be brutalizing your wife and not expect any kind of reaction from her? Like you beat her every now and then, and you're planning to relocate to a country where the rights of women are seriously protected by the law, and your relocation doesn't give you goosebumps?

Even Joseph in the Bible whom his brother's sold into slavery, when they discovered that he was now a powerful ruler and invited them to Egypt, they still met him secretly and pleaded with him that their father's dying wish was for him to forgive them. They knew what they did to him, and quickly apologized so that if he nursed any plans to deal with them, he'll abort immediately.

This is what this man should have done man if he was wise, he should have called his wife privately and beg her for forgiveness before she travelled, if possible kneel down sef. Let her use her mouth and tell him that she has forgiven him. Cos when you treat people badly, and the tables change, don't expect them to overlook what you did to them.

Besides, I don't even know how some men feel beating up a woman who can't fight back. Like you'd just keep punching and punching her, until you're tired or she collapses? That's horrible.

Anyways he has until January to find something doing, if he has skills, he might get something. Once he's back on his feet, he and his wife can iron things out.

But you know that is what Nigerian men expect. I have seen posters here saying any woman who can't tolerate cheating shouldn't marry. When you disagree with them, you are automatically a feminist. I saw that thread and scrolled past it.

Naija women wey like marriage pass their lives would just up and leave? Believe that and you will believe anything.

Women do worse. They even claim to have been beaten by their husband with evidence when such never happened. I'm speaking from experience. Only God would reward everyone and not a media trial which women do to get sympathy.
