Naija people are funny... Truly no b everybody get conscience....

The reason the embassy clearly stated their preference for USPS is because they have a usps mailbox receptacle just outside the embassy gate. The mails are picked up every day. So, your ups mail may be slightly delayed. Next time just follow the embassy instructions to avoid unexpected delays.

I ve had my baby and am back to my dear country Nigeria.
I used Oakbend MC,
Hosp fee, $2300
Dr E, $1900 (for every every plus including scan and papsmr , all test accepted
NIC $335.57
Brown an associate. $67.50
Total = $4603.07
Nothing new, just to add that my baby's birth certificate was ready even before I was discharged from the hospital. It doesn't necessarily take 2days plus. You can just check in the fort bend County website to know if it's ready and pick it up b4 heading home , for those that don't have enough time or you stay far from the county office. All documentation can be done in less than 2weeks, even SSN came in abt 8days time.
I learnt so much from this thread and was able to save a whole lot unlike my last missionary journey. starting from hospital to accomodation to transportation etc. Let's keep this thread moving, as for me shaa, I don hang boot o.

This really a good job u guys are doing here. Please, i have few questions/doubts i need clarification:
was misdirected by a friend who gave birth in the us that i can use a visiting visa the b1/b2 to give birth in the us. After filling the ds160 form and
submitted (without mentioning medical) i bumped into the "usa visit visa" thread which i read from part 1 to 3 for the last 2 weeks and was referred here, my interview is in 2weeks time with hubby;

1) Can we mention vacation & child birth if we are asked purpose of travel? Since there is no child birth mentioned on the ds160 form b/c frm my experience on this thread it's always good to stick to wat's on d ds160 form during d interview.

2) If we stick to vacation, since it's wat we have on the ds160 form & are giving d visa. Can we write to d embassy on our change of plans to giving birth over there in the us with proof of payments b/4 making d trip, with enough cash @ d POE? can dis b possible? Can dis affect our renewal later?

3) If we mention Child birth, wat should be a minimum amount on our statement of account in case VO asked for it?

4) Do we need to make any payment to d hospital over there in the us, b/4 d interview?

5) How do i get a breakdown of expenses to cover d trip b4 d interview, in case Vo ask for it?

6) Is it possible to edit d already submitted form to include medical as reason of travel or if we fill out a new form, Can we still maintain the same interview date?

Please, house i really need your assistance on this.

Hello people, so I had my 3rd baby in NJ May 2014. Fast forward to October 2015, we(hubby and 1st two kids) all applied for visas via drop-box and we where called for an interview even though hubby and I used the previous visa for vacation April this year. Interview was on Monday this week;

VO- Hello
Us-Goodmorning
VO- Why do you intend visiting the US?
Me-Vacation
VO-Where do you intend staying?
Me-NJ
VO-Why NJ?
Me-That's where we stayed last time and we loved it
VO-Where do you work?
Me-Self-employed
VO-How much income do you make monthly?
Me-I answered
Looks to hubby and asked same-where he works, how much he earns, how long he has been working for his current company
VO- We actually assumed your kids where in the US all along because the last time they traveled was in 2013 and you traveled in 2014 alone while you also both traveled April 2015 without them so we just wanted to sight them and approve your visas. Your visas has been approved, pick up on Thursday.
I was surprised as I went with all my proof of payments thinking that is all they wanted to see. I was so confident that our visas would be approved via drop-box as we used it for vacation after childbirth. Thank God it ended in praise

Thanks for the info, Please help me with the following;

It all started first, My wife and i finally got PTA from fidelity bank PH and Lagos respectively @199.05, after Access Bank stop selling the same day firstymum recommended, thanks.

Wify left Lagos on wednesday via KLM(Lagos-Amsterdam-Atlanta-Dallas). At MMI2, luggage search was not done (when they notice she was pregnant, she couldn't lift her luggage) the man said carry ur wahala they goo...lolz. Had excess luggage of extra 3kg but was waived. No fit to fly was asked. Also booked wheelchair with assistance, Don't want to hear any story. She only used wheelchair in Atlanta, almost missed her connecting flight to Dallas.

Got to Amsterdam, took 4hrs layover before heading to Atlanta. POE gist:

CBP: what are u here for?
Wify: Vacation and child birth (She shouted the child birth)
CBP: Why are u fidgeting?
Wify: I am not fidgeting, just tired and i also told the Embassy of my child birth
CBP: Nope.... from our system u did not inform the Embassy
Wify: brought out the change of intent letter to/from the embassy
CBP: What do u do?
Wify: I am a Doc
CBP: why do u want to give birth in the USA?
Wify: for expert mgt
CBP: Is dat not irony for expert mgt and u are a doc in Nigeria
Wify: anyways Dats my preference I smiled
CBP: Wow... that is lovely and how much do u have?
Wify: i have $7,500 (it was not counted)
CBP: make sure you pay ur bills and keep ur receipts

He was asking all theses questions after stamping me till April next year
No Agriculture and she went with all the recommended food stuff, small palm oil and noodles. Gods favor all through. Her luggage was not searched through out her journey.
Chilling in Dallas for some days before porting El paso.

Forgive my typos

You can actually use a b1/b2 visa to give birth. U weren't misdirected... Except I don't get u
1) Can we mention vacation & child birth if we are asked purpose of travel? Since there is no child birth mentioned on the ds160 form b/c frm my experience on this thread it's always good to stick to wat's on d ds160 form during d interview.
yes.

There's no need to lie now and then start doing d whole change of intent. Except u ain't preggy. But if u r... Just b honest. Aside the embassy you'll face some "specie" at the POE. If they knew u were preggy during d interview.. They might stress you. So b HONEST. Sometimes they go through the hassle to find out if u were pregnant before or during the interview. Don't take chances...
3) If we mention Child birth, wat should be a minimum amount on our statement of account in case VO asked for it?
Hmmmm this is tricky... Reading the thread will guide u...
4) Do we need to make any payment to d hospital over there in the us, b/4 d interview?
No... Making payments doesn't really boost your chances as such. What will boost ur chances is honesty, preparedness, and confidence.... And of course FAVOUR OF GOD
5) How do i get a breakdown of expenses to cover d trip b4 d interview, in case Vo ask for it?
It's on this thread page 105 or so... Read up seriously u need to read through
6) Is it possible to edit d already submitted form to include medical as reason of travel or if we fill out a new form, Can we still maintain the same interview date?
Hmmm I'm not sure

Hello sis. I already answered you on the other thread so u know my opinion but to buttress it, see whaat the LagosNIV answered somebody

LagosNIV:

You honestly tell the VO why you are going to the U.S., who you are visiting, and why you decided to. The second I can't figure out why you are actually going to the U.S. I am forced to refuse you.

Don't believe the stories that people tell you about having rehearsed stories and sticking to them, it's just bad advice. .

Pay particular attn to the bolded. Knowingly withholding info is misrepresentation . If you are asked if you are pregnant and u lie, that's a poe issue. If u are asked and you are not prepared, that's the ist step to refusal.
As to the total amount in your account, do your due diligence and find out how much ul spendin total and have that plus a bit more.
I rest my case

My great pple, I tire for West Houston. They have created my account with them. I have been trying to reach them to get the hospital account details to pay but no response for days now.
Please if we have anyone with the hospital account details, please send to me on DELETED or what do you think?
