This are the kinds of threads that should have momentum, comments and more, we need to stand and talk with a voice as the youth, the electricity issue is rather annoying, it has been like this for years now, some time it's very good some times like nowadays when they only provide electricity between 12 midnight and 4 am and then it's gone again, it stays longer on weekends, i think and feel we need to begin to hold our government accountable for anything we feel is wrong, let them know we have a voice. we are way too silent as a people and we have the numbers, large amounts of millions of numbers, why we never stand and talk with a voice strong enough to be felt nation wide beats me, one man can't stand with a voice in Nigeria, youths need to come together and do the needful. 2 Likes |

The greedy Fashola who wants to be adored as a super minister has failed woefully here. All he achieved in the power ministry is to engineer an increase in electricity bill without any corresponding increase in output and without the populace getting the electricity meters to verify any charges. In a developed country he should have resigned or sacked if he fails to. I dont understand how you can increase electrity bills astronomically in the midst of blackout and dismal perfomance of the electricity companies. May God help us. 3 Likes |

this is as a result of failure of successive governments that have failed to realise that they aren't doing us any favours. for God's sake, how can we not have access to fuel and electricity at the same time? its sad |

Hiddentreasure1:till this morning? We used to have consistently also, but for a few days now,it's been rationed until yesterday when it went off and didn't return. And where I stay uses same line that powers the airport road streetlights o. So if we don't have, most of the streetlights in Abuja are down. Or are you also using Aso rock line? |

Daodudavid: You are not being intelligent. Firstly, are you saying we should not hold this government accountable for anything? Is that what you mean? Secondly, if the government have truly blocked areas of getting illegal funds from the nnpc then that's good. However, I doubt if anyone out there can attest to the effect of the policy in their lives. Also, the presidency cannot by fiat unbundled the nnpc without recourse to relevant stakeholders and the National Assembly. This is irrespective of how noble the idea is. The last administration change the name of unilag and the court stopped it because the universities was setup by an act and can't be unilaterally changed. Same is the nnpc. You think the past government who were going through the route of the PIB don't know what they are doing? If truly they unbundled nnpc by fiat, then, that's brazen rascality and the zenith or cluelessness. It may not be nnpc tomorrow or it may be another government. We must not be biased in government assessment. It is wrong. Lastly no one is sabotaging this government, but itself. If they don't want to do things right they can GET Out. Nigerians can keep changing governments until we get it right. We must not swallow this shiit. That's the point. Acidosis has a strong point. 2 Likes |
