Op, are you a Jew in Nigeria? Is there any year since we were born that we haven't experience days if not months of total power outage in this country? Nigerians are well known to adapt to whatever situation we find ourselves hence the silence on the issue on ground. Thank God the politicians are gradually dying. God will and is fighting for us.
we where made to adapt to hardship forever?

Your hero, Goodluck Jonathan sold Phcn distribution assets in Lagos mainland to IKEDC, a private company. If the company's staffs are on strike, blame the management and not the president. Beside, your alarming headline is false. There is no national blackout in Nigeria. Here in Abuja, I still enjoyed light till this morning.

It is well with each and everyone of us.

Silence in the face of injustice is complicity with the oppressor - Ginetta Sagan

If only life was just fair, millions of Nigerians have just woken up this morning with absolutely no clue on what to just eat or feed their families.

This disconnect from the government and the unholy silence in the face of biting hardship bodes evil for this Nation.

I pray we survive what is coming.
There is total black out for 3weeks now, in Kwale, Delta State.

This are the kinds of threads that should have momentum, comments and more, we need to stand and talk with a voice as the youth, the electricity issue is rather annoying, it has been like this for years now, some time it's very good some times like nowadays when they only provide electricity between 12 midnight and 4 am and then it's gone again, it stays longer on weekends, i think and feel we need to begin to hold our government accountable for anything we feel is wrong, let them know we have a voice. we are way too silent as a people and we have the numbers, large amounts of millions of numbers, why we never stand and talk with a voice strong enough to be felt nation wide beats me, one man can't stand with a voice in Nigeria, youths need to come together and do the needful.

The greedy Fashola who wants to be adored as a super minister has failed woefully here. All he achieved in the power ministry is to engineer an increase in electricity bill without any corresponding increase in output and without the populace getting the electricity meters to verify any charges.
In a developed country he should have resigned or sacked if he fails to. I dont understand how you can increase electrity bills astronomically in the midst of blackout and dismal perfomance of the electricity companies.
May God help us.

I'm just wondering, today marks the 4th day I've been trying to cope without electricity. Is this problem peculiar to me alone? Or are we suffering and smiling on the Social Media because we have N20 to charge phone on the streets?

Nobody cares about the impact on Businesses. Majority of the frozen food sellers in my street are lamenting as some of them have recorded monumental losses within the past 4 days.

I've personally lost about N50,000 (in directly) due to the failure of this government to admit and confront their failures.

So many business men are running at loss. Nigerians should not keep quiet. Market women, unlike, banks and large organizations do not have the money to purchase large inverters, diesel engines, etc. The few who could afford generators do not have access to petrol as most of the filling stations have shut their doors (in Lagos and Ogun). Mind you, 90% of those selling refuse to sell in Jerry cans. The implication is that a woman who has N100k worth of frozen food would rather bury her goods or fry it all for herself and family.

The big, influential and shameless men who ought to come out and speak are either scared of a fulani man or extremely 'stu.pid' to understand the plight of small business owners who survive on electricity.

I'm not a frozen food seller, but for Christ sake, these folks are Nigerian citizens who have chosen to survive in the absence of direct jobs from the government. Hence, they deserve the right to enjoy the basic amenities like electricity and fuel.

May the curse of the Lord remains in the house of the wicked.

You shouldn't blame people o! buhari is not like GEJ who takes and swallows criticism. If you talk, DSS or EFCC or NDLEA or CDC or even LAWMA will just pay you a visit and they will say Dasuki confessed he gave you dollars grin grin

We used to have consistently also, but for a few days now,it's been rationed until yesterday when it went off and didn't return.

And where I stay uses same line that powers the airport road streetlights o. So if we don't have, most of the streetlights in Abuja are down.

Or are you also using Aso rock line?

It's not peculiar to any area. I've spent thousands of naira to fuel both business and home for months now. This government is a fraud!!!!!!

You are not being intelligent.

Firstly, are you saying we should not hold this government accountable for anything? Is that what you mean?

Secondly, if the government have truly blocked areas of getting illegal funds from the nnpc then that's good. However, I doubt if anyone out there can attest to the effect of the policy in their lives.

Also, the presidency cannot by fiat unbundled the nnpc without recourse to relevant stakeholders and the National Assembly. This is irrespective of how noble the idea is.

The last administration change the name of unilag and the court stopped it because the universities was setup by an act and can't be unilaterally changed.

Same is the nnpc. You think the past government who were going through the route of the PIB don't know what they are doing?

If truly they unbundled nnpc by fiat, then, that's brazen rascality and the zenith or cluelessness. It may not be nnpc tomorrow or it may be another government.

We must not be biased in government assessment. It is wrong.

Lastly no one is sabotaging this government, but itself. If they don't want to do things right they can GET Out.

Nigerians can keep changing governments until we get it right.

We must not swallow this shiit. That's the point.

Acidosis has a strong point.
