Besides I have discovered that for you to be an atheist in Nigeria.. I found out that somehow the bad lifestyles of christians contribute to it..when you cut corners and don't represent your kingdom well.. you are telling a realist (non hypocrite) not to bother serving your God.
Learn to show love, market it cos that's who our God is. LOVE. #okbye

humans need constant reminder to have empathy,first from religion another from the law,now if one fails the other takes over ,that is why I said we as Africans that lack strong laws and institutions are not ready for athiesm. Now if according to my logic which has been obviously influenced by my state of mind tells me to retaliate because a person has done me wrong, logically ,I am right ,but morally that is wrong, even to larger extent according to the gravity of the retaliation, you will be said to have taken the laws into your hands ,that is the different between logicality and morality

Na She married some other Guy from her Country and that was that. I stalked a on fb for a min then got over it. I miss the way she loved me more than I miss her, not sure if that make sense. Religion should have nothing to do with your relationship. Worship God your way and I will Worship him my way.

It looks impossible to you cos your mind has been programmed that one must be religious to have good morals

I met this girl recently everything has been going well until she found out I am an atheist, she started avoiding me and said she doesn't want anything to do with me because of that fact.

Everyone who does good or bad has a moral compass, people do not do things for doing sake; a person who does good has his reasons and likewise a person who does evil and they're​ guided by their individual moral compass.

Your response is just a subtle attack on religion, and as much as I disagree, I won't make any attempt in defending religion, and that's because I do not practice religion; I am a Christian who seeks to emulate the lifestyle of Christ.

My question still stands: what is the moral compass of an atheist?

She will always try to convert you and it may end in divorce. If you come into money, the same girl would be chasing you down and begging for a chance. You don't want fake people in your life. Search for a girl who is also an atheist. There are plenty in Nigeria but they may even be hiding in the church to avoid being harassed. Keep searching, they are there.

I've encountered the same problems as you. A girl I had something going with during my NYSC days was the same. We met at camp and she initially thought I was just joking when I relayed by unbelief and we were still going out. When she actually realized I was serious, she started avoiding me.

Nigerians are very religious (more so women) and I'm resigned to the fact most girls looking for a "god fearing" husband would be frightened by an atheist. Telling many people in Nigeria that you're atheist has about the same connotation in their mind as telling them you're some kind of occultist.

If you're really serious about a girl, might be best you just pretend to be a "normal" christian and avoid religious discussions. Other than a sister of mine in the UK, none of my family know I'm atheist afterall. My parents would probably have heart attacks, so I just keep it locked away.
