TheManofTomorrow:It's not like they can't submit. At work I'm an equal to all the guys BTW I'm the only lady lol. You don't expect me to show weakness in that kind of scenario. Men will think because you're aggressive and bold at work you'd be proud and controlling at home. It's not like that. Try me first. 1 Like |

Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by Newboss(m): 11:45pm On Dec 30, 2017 |
TemmyWon:Yeah, that's because she's a rebooted Nigerian girl! A typical Nigerian girl can't last 31 minutes before she begs to pull out |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by TemmyWon(f): 11:57pm On Dec 30, 2017 |
Newboss:What dyu mean by rebooted anyway? According to the biology of genetics, she was born that way, no need for reboot |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by Newboss(m): 12:01am On Dec 31, 2017 |
TemmyWon:Yeah, you sure did run a DNA test on her over the texts! What do you really understand by the term "reboot"? |

Newboss:Not a scientist but it's the embodiment of inherited physical and psycho/medical features parents transfer to the kids? Inherited traits If your parents are smart, you're born intelligent. Can you tell the difference between these adjectives : smart, brilliant, intelligent |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by Newboss(m): 12:19am On Dec 31, 2017 |
TemmyWon:Yeah, you sure don't sound like one! More like a business girl |

Newboss:Lol. Not quite. I discussed it with a friend once and convinced her that they're quite different. Smart: street wisdom Brilliant: book wisdom Intelligent: wisdom to apply all of the above and utilize at will for any purpose. Whadya think? I'm of the arts. Too scared for business risks. I prefer to let others trade my money |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by Newboss(m): 12:27am On Dec 31, 2017 |
TemmyWon:Yeah, there are many differences tho'. The difference in spellings is as much a difference as the difference in meanings. You would have failed me were you to be a lecturer? |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by Newboss(m): 12:32am On Dec 31, 2017 |
TemmyWon:Nah, your letting them trade your money is as much risk as trading it yourself! That would keep the beast in you in check tho' So what's the latest of arts you've caught wind of? |
Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by TemmyWon(f): 12:42am On Dec 31, 2017 |

Amakavula: Please Amaka, I read the first page of your post but didn't find anyone asking you about why you decided to write such a post. I know you mentioned being pissed off about girls being called potato brains but I suspect your reason for the post goes beyond that. My theory is that it's personal. Either someone has called you such and it's making you doubt if you can successfully complete that task which you've undertaken (you're losing confidence) or it's just an ego thing for you. Perhaps you consider yourself smart and you're wondering why you don't get enough approval. I think what happened last week, if it did happen, happened to you. I'm not here to affirm or deny your question or to attack you. (I think you probably have enough answers from *mature* men). My purpose is to look at your post by itself. I don't know how you define smartness. But while reading your post I was thinking "is this lady writing in anger or is this really how she writes?" If it is the former, I'll pass. But if it is the latter then I think you may have to rethink your idea of "smartness". Like it or not there aren't a lot of people who will think you smart after reading your post, especially if you happen to be a graduate. As for your last line, I think girls could be accused of dismissing what they don't agree with as coming from "immature" guys. Moreover, there is no way a man and a woman can be equal in the mathematical sense. Except perhaps you have a different idea/definition of "equal", in which case I'd be glad if you could share with me. To summarize: 1. I am not afraid of smart ladies. I love to have doubly smart kids, so I'll marry a smart lady. 2. I haven't seen this widespread brain-dead misogyny a lot of women are complaining about. 3. You ladies should quit seeking everyone's approval. What is it to you if a guy thinks you are sleeping with a lecturer? A girl probably thinks that also. Why do you want to police thoughts? Why are you so desperate to prove you're not sleeping with your lecturer? Why does it bother you in this age when most people, perhaps you, hold dear the thought "I don't care what you think about me"? 1 Like |

Re: Are Nigerian Men Afraid Of Really Smart Ladies? by TemmyWon(f): 12:51am On Dec 31, 2017 |
TheLordisgreat, it goes beyond that. I'm still permanently pissed at Nollywood because of the way they portray women. It's either they are housewives or they are too career centered. They write scripts as if my mum doesn't work and still hold her home intact. Intelligent girls don't allow anyone choose their lives for them or allow men with half a brain put them down. They are passionate about commanding respect because it is not easily given to our kind. It's a psychology thing, men think we want to be equal with them but we just want to carve our own place in life without any dictatorial shadow |
