Is anyone here going to GTA, Ryerson, UofT for January 2020? Looking for fellow students who may want to form connections or share accommodation.

Hi guys,

I decided to link my application online and found out that my application has been refused. Chai, too bad, after long waiting. But what baffles me is that I never received any single mail from them and if I had not linked my app online I wouldnt have known about the refusal. I wish to mail them to send me the reason for refusal so that I will start from there as i wish to repackage and refire again.

Please does any one have the VAC/Embassy official email address?

Please who have an idea how to pay for U of Waterloo and University of Toronto application fee.

They said they want credit card but I don't have that. Anybody who has applied to these schools should kindly tell me how they paid the application fee. Thanks.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Jephehe: 3:56am On Dec 09, 2019

debit cards won't work. Send their admissions office an email. I am sure they have alternatives for students who don't have credit cards

I had my Bsc Accounting in 2001, MBA in 2006, and Msc Accounting in 2017. I am really considering the education route to Canada. I have never left the shores of this country and i'm 40 years old with 16 years experience as an accountant. I applied for express entry and in the pool with my pof ready. i just want to consider other options of relocating permanently to Canada. Please elders and seniors in the house i need your help and advice.
Frankrobbn1:

Check Memorial University, Brandon University and University of Winnipeg. These schools are relatively lower.

Good evening nairaland family, pls study leave with pay in a federal institution, does it have any negative implication before CIC later in life when you want to apply for permanent residency.

Note: you are fully sponsoring yourself.

Frankrobbin, Justmellow, everyone pls give me an answer to this challenge.

Hello Oganammuo,

Go ahead with your application with calmness. There is no such thing as negativity with such action.

Good luck

Good evening everyone please I need your opinion on this ..
I got admission into New Brunswick college of craft and design to study digital media. I’m a graduate of Computer Science with 3.8/5 CGPA . So I met with Maple Education and was advice not to process it because due to the fact that the VO might not see it as a good reason because it’s a diploma course.
So I deferred till next fall.
Now I want to know if I should go ahead with the visa application or just apply for a masters degree or a PGDC??

Hello Sammyfrance23,

Its more advisable to show study progression. A 'PGD/C' or a Master would be a better preference to a Diploma after a Bachelor.

All the best.

Hello Duuzsz,

Get your sponsor(parent) to make provision on how to show it in their own account or have it sent to yours.

N.B: its best advised that the closing balance should have extra amount if/when your tuition fees and LE has been removed.

Good luck

Goodday everybody.

please i need help from the Gurus in the house once again. i'm getting ready to apply for my visa.

I'm trying to strengthen my home ties based on employment. i did an internship with a family friend who owns a big farm before i went for NYSC. i have also been working in the farm since August 2019 but he isn't paying me.

what's the best possible way i can link him to my application as a home tie for employment. i was thinking maybe he should write a letter of support and also state that he is ready to employ me when i return but it sounds absurd given the situation of my employment in his farm.

please any solution to this will me appreciated . P.S. my uncle is my sponsor and the course in Global business management.

thanks.

Hi great friends. Thanks to all who ahve been helpful in this house. I got a refusal notifcation on obvious and avoidable reasons. I never made use of this platform during my application. I ever knew this platform has amswres to all my questions. I regret that so much but would not relent.
I have decided to reapply: I have tackle each of the issues raised by the VO. Going through this platform, I have seen why I was refused visa. I must say, no agent can't offer better even as much as what I have seen here. Kudos to you all guys.

Thanks @Frankrobbn1 for this ADDRESSED REFUSAL GROUNDS.: very very helpful

I have one big concern My initial application was for an Undergraduate Studies in Computer Science. Though I have a Bsc in Industrial Chemistry, I did not present this in my application. I really want to change career; Should I still keep out my Bsc in my next application or present it with strong worded SOP on why I want to change my career. My current work experience is based on the IT skills I have acquired through some certifications. I am also gainfully employed based on this skills and would want to broaden my horizon by adding a degree. I need advise please so I don't complicate my case further.

Hello to everyone over here. I'm a newbie on this thread. I will love to study in Canada, someone should kindly put me through on how to apply for my underGraduate in any of the Uni over there. THANKS!

Studying in Canada is not as difficult as you may think. As an undergraduate you need to first apply for an institution over there, if you meet up to their requirements, get admitted then you can apply for a canadian study visa. You can read more information on that via https://careergigo.com/canada-student-visa-process-requirements/
