Okay, I think I can answer your question,
Last year before I did change of institution to UNIPORT, it was UNICAL I initially chose, UNICAL admission quota for Medicine and Surgery is 100, and they admitted about 168 candidates last year.

And as for their exam, basic mathematics, chemistry, Physics, biology and use of English for Medical Aspirants. And their cut off was 292... Exam is 40 questions, each question carries 10 marks. The reason why I changed from UNICAL was because I had 280 in the PUTME, and 300 in Jamb bringing my aggregate to 290. So I had to do change of institution quickly to UNIPORT where I'm studying Medicine and Surgery presently
thanks you boss.
how can I reach u on Facebook please?
I appreciate ur write up.

Greetings every one,

I'm a medical aspirant,

I'm having some issues but I need you all opinion on this

This is my 3rd attempt (281) in UTME I'm from the South, Edo state

I'm having some issues in picking 2 University since they closer to me

University of Benin (Uniben) and Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU)

I would have chosen Uniben but the chances with my score for Medicine and Surgery are slim, I'm a student already in that school, 200L biochemistry... I chose this university twice

Now, I picked AAU in my form without true knowledge about the school fees, I found out the school fees is N165, 000 plus other charges, my admission is sure, as they don't write post ume and My chance of getting medicine is 90% due to my good Olevel grades

But the finances is a major issue. I'm raised by a Single mother, my dad is late. I discussed this with her but she doesn't even know what to say

I need your help please

AAU screening just commenced

You can do it but isn't that the same as second choice. Most schools don't consider second choice candidates.

1.) No calculator at all, even system calculator. NONE!

2.) They're basic Mathematics with majority from trigonometry, all these triangle questions, also word problem, mean median mode, linear equation... They're just simple mathematics

3.) For the last question, I must be sincere with you, I do not trust UNICAL, I don't know why I had 280 cos i do very well, I had seen, studied and solved all the questions even a day before I went for my exam, cos UNICAL normally repeat the same questions. Those that did on Tuesday did same questions with those that did on Monday, and those that did in Wednesday did same with those that did on Tuesday and Monday and the trend goes on like that, Unical doesn't change their questions, it's always word for word,so we MBBS Aspirant did on Thursday, so we've been able to gathered more questions from those that have been doing since Monday cos they keep repeating the same questions... Lo and behold, it was same thing that they gave us and I believe i did so well.

But what I noticed from the general result is that, people whose state of origin are from south south tends to score extremely high despite having a very low JAMB result, but those from their non catchment area and non indigenes were now scoring low.. you go dey see person with 170 in Jamb, scoring 360+ in PUTME, meanwhile you can now see someone with 300+ in jamb now scoring 200, 230 in PUTME... I was so common... I wouldn't know if scores were just given randomly or something went wrong somewhere... But immediately I saw my result and I saw my 290 aggregate, I didn't wait for them to even release cut off before I changed to UNIPORT cos from my findings, I realised that their previous cut off before that year was 296 and I couldn't afford to loose out from 2019 admission. I guess I answered you questions

UNIPORT allows those that choose them as second choice to sit for their PUTME, but you'll be given deadline of like 1 month after the exam to change them to first choice if you'll want them to consider you.

You may want to consider University of Calabar. You have a good chance of getting MBBS,+you're from South, school fees is also okay

UNIPORT do not show their cut off mark, but

With aggregate of 285+ you may have Medicine
With 250+ you may get Nursing

And their is no Med Lab in UNIPORT
