You can battle it for 10 years without even knowing you are battling depression because you'll have to nurture your system on how to cope and endure overthinking, unrest and no peace of mind. I remembered when I made an investment blunder with loaned Cash. The funny thing is. I had already used the money in D first place and ready to pay back. Na so opportunity to make quick cash came, instead of paying my loan, I decided to take the risk. Omoh I lost the whole money . Even that did not make me think of suicide, na to run before the owner of D money finish me.

I Japa leave town, collected another loan from my uncle, use half to pay my debt and then the other half to invest again

For me, anytime I feel depressed, I pick my Bible, listen to gospel songs e.g Frank Edwards; "You're Beautiful" or Nathaniel Bassey's "Call on Me." It works magic and takes me back to joyous mode in Christ.

Cowards often can't see beyond their predicaments, they are so self absorbed that they can't possibly phantom a greater cause or the bigger picture. It's a narcissist complex, why me? Why not me? Who did I offend? Why are things like this? How come?

Depression is real but do you know what is even more real, psychology! You see someone depressed because they have no shoes, show them someone without legs. You see someone depressed because of barreness, show them someone with wayward children hooked on drugs, violence etc. See someone depressed because of poverty, show them someone with all the money in the world but dying of stage 4 cancer or Aids.

Life is all about perspective, this young man acknowledged his mom but that was not enough to stop him, he alluded to part of the fault coming from his dad but he chose to be exactly like his dad and inflict pain on his loving mom. Forget religious angle, forget societal angle, this young man just couldn't see beyond his predicament, to him the rest of the world can go screw itself.
