I will take them serious, when it afrects faith academy
It wouldn't affect faith academy. Government pays teachers of affected schools in kwara state while churches own the structures.
I think solution is for missions to take full control of their schools.

Why wearing religion to College? Nobody should tolerate wearing those masquerades to any Christian Missionary schools. Let them Wear it in Arabic schools.

Theres nothing wrong with allowing muslims wear hijab. As long as it is not the full covering for security purpose.

We should tolerate others. As long as this is not forced on the students and it stops at just following the dress code.

Lets just leave trivialities and live in peace.

I see no reason why Muslim students should be denied their constitutional rights.

Moreover, these schools are government schools (though bearing Christian names). All Muslim students, in particular, female students should be allowed to dress in Hijab since these schools are for the public.

The war has been on for a long time. I think the issue should be handled with care to avoid a riot. It is not a must for Abdul to attend C&S College now

But it's a must to use government money to pay staff. Christianity and intolerance! You can wear pants but allow others to cover themselves

Christians, stand firm on your belief! Don't allow anyone to intimidate you.-You are on the winning side!
Let them puff and pant! Soon, the whole world will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is indeed the King of kings, and the Lord of lords.

I'm a Muslim but wearing of hijab in Christian schools when it is not part of dress code is arrant nonsense. Must you attend the Christian schools if must do obey dia rules. Those idiots in govt should not cause religious violence. The Yorubas are not known for religious extremism.

I think solution is for missions to take full control of their schools.

They are defacto public schools if tax payers money goes into them so the public through the government has a say the way they are run.

We have had this debate a while ago. Missionary model schools are no longer economically viable as independent entities. The cost of running them and subsidising fees is a big burden on the promoters.

I think the church had better face the realities and the Christian public particularly those quick to castigate the Pentecostal educational model, that they either pay sufficiently to fund these schools without government subsidy or raise funding from the churches themselves to run them so they can impose their own values.

So it is either tithes, higher fees or shared values. There is nothing else. When you lose economic power you lose liberty as well. So when Covenant University for instance projects its hard values it does so because both promoters and patrons are prepared to pay for their independence.

That's over with. The government has already acquired the schools. Therefore it doesn't matter who gathered the sand, the bricks and what have you, to build the schools. The government even dulled itself for not renaming those schools to look more fit for the public.

Kiss the truth again. The schools are no longer missionary schools. And therefore should serve the public adequately with no partiality

Dude these schools outrightly refused to cede their ownership to the government in 2014. They even insisted the government hold their grants that they want no part of it. Na by force ni?

Mission schools that have been forcefully taken in the past went on a downward slope fast. I am a product of one of the affected schools and there is no other way forward that allow the schools be as they want.
