yinkeys:Good day bro. You mentioned a lot of options here. Could you be kind enough to go into details. For example, I want to transfer 2,000 usd to an oversea company. How does PayPal, payoneer and skrill work? |
Which of these two e-retailers have the largest share of online sales? |
majekdom2:Ma bro, leave them. Over sabi dey kill us for here. Every small thing them go dey show oversabi. I been go kigali a few years back. Bro, it was nice and peaceful. All these our oversabi, too do no dey there. People just dey manage their life je je. Think of it, democracy no dey ensure economic development. What brings about good economy and development is leadership with a vision; be it military, communist, monarchy etc. so long as the leadership have a vision and the spirit to push it through, there will be development. Look at Communist china, monarchist UAE, pseudo-military Thailand, they are developing. Even authoritarian North Korea have mastered nuclear energy. |
Howmon:Same thought here. Why can't Venezuela sell their refined petrol to Nigeria, and in exchange we export basic essentials to them. I guess we could ship tons of indomie to them...lol |
This solution might be a bit techie, but with a battery, an AC inverter and a sensor counter, she can get an exert number of eggs laid by those birds.

You know the whole thingy is rather confusing, or should I say opaque. Kremlin appears to be holding their breathe for Trump; but since 2017 Trump has increasingly made moves that should antagonize Russia: supplying arms to Ukraine, prodding the Europeans to sanction Russia, 56 cruise missile attack on a Syrian base, killing Russian PMCs, etc. I wonder if their calculation is to give Trump enough room to weather the "FBI/Dems" storm? |
Are these two options the only options available to Russia in the theatre is Syria? Sometimes I really hoped Putin calls US bluff and confronts them in Eastern Syria. Or is Putin's reluctance due to a supposed deal restricting Syria/Hezbollah/Iran to western Syria, and the SDF/US to eastern Syria? I am not so sure there's a deal. I remember clearly there was a race to al-bukamal, and surprisingly the Pro-US forces cut deals with ISIS in eastern Syria and raced to the oil & gas fields, coming off short of reaching al-bukamal. What will a confrontation look like? |
omusiliyu:Why do you people always play into this sort of sentiment? Can such a construction of this scale be done without a design? |
Leopantro:My brother, I have for long given up on these people. Their level of reasoning makes me ashamed. A country were people still believe witches fly and yet they barely have the technological advancement to produce matches? The churches are more than happy to promote this idea of ghosts and witches just to get them hooked of a false philosophy. I really hope my people could reflect on these questions? What's a ghost? Does it exist? How does it come about? The lecturers and higher institutions in the country aren't helping to educate the masses. If they are helping and investigating some of this questionable matters, so many of these myths would have been busted. I recommend a dose of mythbuster(dstv) daily for my people. |
Kay3010:My friend, security guards (all Nigerians) at these foreign missions often treat applicants without respect. Not only at these missions, you often see this sort of mentality everywhere and everyday, especially at govt offices. That gate-keeper mentality; "without me you can't succeed." It's wrong. Is it his duty or consular officer's job to determine fraudulent applications? |
99thEnemy:The funny thing is that the security guard and document checker are Nigerians. We treat ourselves as shyt! Go figure! |
cowleg:Well, in my area, they are selling the old lays for 1700. I guess you must be living in some rich neighborhood. @ukmigrant is chicken as expensive in the UK as it is in cowleg 's neighborhood? |
UKmigrant:Hi. You forgot to mention the cost of a whole chicken in the UK compared to the 1700 naira we pay for a whole(fresh) chicken in Lagos. It will be nice if you could take the time to compare food prices in your part of UK and Nigeria; and also the quality. Some say 9ja coca cola is watery compared to the same coca cola in UK. Is this true? How about beer quality? Bread? Etc.. |
earthsync:Glad to learn there are still people like you who have frontal lobe in this country. I've stopped arguing with these people that maintain a strong belief that animal or human ritual yields wealth. Several years back BBC ran an investigative report of Albino killing in Zambia. Even the juju priest couldn't discern that the black guy consulting him is a BBC reporter. The juju priest did animal ritual at a construction site. He killed a bull, and blood from this animal was spilled at the construction site. The rest of the animal was buried at the site. The reporter went back to the priest after a month. The animal ritual did not yield any significant increase in wealth. According the reporter, " his construction business has not faired better." The juju priest requested they use Albino body parts. All conversation were recorded and handed over to Zambian police to effect an arrest. I think the juju priest was arrested... Not sure how that report ended. |
Obijulius:Bro... The problem of this country is caused by all of us. That local government chairman looting allocation, that police man abusing citizens, that oga in government sitting on your application, that petrol station with rigged meter, that NEPA man, that importer, that mechanic, THEY ARE ALL US - our fathers, brothers, sisters, uncles... US! |
Daemonsanti:Why would anyone need a cryptic language to talk to God? |
9jakohai:Honestly, when I look at the situation here and compare it to a few cities I have lived in, take for a example the dessert city of Ajman, I see an attitudinal issue here. We know the govt here doesn't care because they have misplaced priorities. I wonder why most doctors can not buy a cheap Chinese defribilator that cost less than $900? A greater percent of death in Nigeria are as a result of mis-diagnosis by doctors. For them every illness is typhoid and malaria fever. A recent case was a patient in Jos who died last two weeks due to TB. But for most of the time his doctor has been treating pneumonia. The issue came to ahead when he lost consciousness and was rushed to catholic hospital. Quite an avoidable death. We really should not wait for the health ministry or govt to help us run the structure of health facilities. There are head doctors at each of these facilities. They can put up a structure that makes emergency care a critical pillar of health care by having a doctor on standby and also give these doctors enough time to attend to their private practice since they are not regularly paid by the govt. Is manpower an issue? Do we have enough doctors and nurses? Don't you think the policy of making access to education so stringent is leading to lack of adequate man power. Doctors and nurses are leaving the country, why don't we let in more students into the course to compensate? Finally, I see the age-old Nigeria problem: mismanagement. No matter how low govt funding, the brains in these institutions can come up with the best strategy to make best use of the paucity. Many poor countries like Cuba still manage to run a good health care system. |
9jakohai:Hi 9jakohai. I was wondering what the problem really is. Is the attitude of healthcare staff or funding? How did Cuba revamp it's health sector despite lack of funding? Having lived in this country long enough, I am beginning to realize it might not be funding after all. Some deaths at these University hospitals are quite avoidable if the staff intervened early; a quick surgery here, resuscitation there etc.. These do not need state-of-art medical equipment. I really want you to reflect on this. It may not be funding after all. If not funding? Could it be inadequate staff numbers or attitude? |
donnie:Hi Donnie. Happy weekend! To be frank, the actions of some of these so called "men of God" bring a lot of ridicule to the body of Christ. I have lost faith in a lot of them. Considering their enormous wealth, it's so pitiful to see their lack of commitment in helping the impoverished segment of the population. I have been to Yeodo church ( David yongin cho), it was so different from the practice of pastors here in Nigeria. It was more about helping your neighbor irrespective of his religious leaning. There was never any pressure to sow seeds, no pressure to give give give! God should be given the utmost respect by all including these pastors. Some pastors act like they are God, but they ain't! They claim to speak with God... Utter rubbish! God has spoken to all of us with his creations. We should spend more time trying to understand his work, his way, his creation. There are lot we can learn from his work. May be we spent a bit more time understanding his works we could discover a total cure for cancer. I believe it's a God-giving duty for us to love and care for one another. By sharing love we could reduce the level of enmity in our society, reduce the evil. |
donnie:Morning my friend. Some may have bought jets out of the church finances. But why buy a jet costing millions of Naira? I reckon that money if spent on projects that improve quality of lives for the impoverished masses would make "Jesus" smile. Imagine Redeemed Church having a health Care center and a soup kitchen next to their church branches all around Nigeria. That will be great, isn't it? |
miqos03:you think they will let you exercise the freedom of judgement -to decide whether to send in your offering or not? They want your offering, they need it. Considering the level of poverty and illiteracy in the country, how many of "them" have free soup kitchens for the hungry, free schools or free hospital. I lived in a largely Buddhist country for many years. Religious bodies do run free food programs for the elderly and the poor every day at Seoul metro station and other major metro stations. I remember one catholic hospital at Chongno that provides free health care ( including surgeries and childbirth) for the needy. Why can't "them" in Nigeria help the poor, why do they think of themselves only, buying expensive suits, expensive cars and jet. They run huge budgets on ads on TV, 24hr satellite TV, yet malaria is killing many in Nigeria. Our mumu don do! Since our political leaders give us the middle finger every day, why are the church leaders doing the same? |
donnie:Thanks for your reply. I was wondering since these pastors spend the offering on Bentley and Jet, and not for the work of God, isn't it better that Christians give directly to the needy? I think providing food for the hungry, help to the needy, health to sick is doing work of God. What do you think? |
donnie:My brother, good evening. Please I have a question regarding "giving to God". Can Christians also "give to God" by giving to the needy instead of pastors? |
Evablizin:Well, the exploding population will one way or another affect your life. There is a correlation between high birth rate, resource limitation and poverty. Think about it. |
webincomeplus:Bro, I've often wondered why the country continues to churn out these "pot-bellied bureaucrats" generation after generation. Is it a DNA thing? Many atimes you see guys fight against corruption in govt but when they get in to govt they start acting like the guys they replaced. I just can't wrap my head around this phenomenon. |
How to regularize stay in a few countries: South Korea: D8 visa - enter the country with minimum of $100,000 for foreign direct investment (FDI). Register a company. Govt issues a "renewal" one year visa called D8. G1 visa - fill a refugee case, you get a 3-month renewable visa valid till outcome of your case in court. Note: case denied for most Nigerians. UAE: Employee visa. Working for any company, gives you an employee visa/labor card and residence payment. However if you have the money, you can actually pay a company to get you employee visa. FreeZone visa: set up business at any of the free zones in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman with $3000(can't remember exact amount) yearly payment, you get FZ visa. You can issue a spousal visa on this FZ visa. |
For those wanting to leave, go with "STUDENT VISA" if you can't make it through "skilled migration program" or Spousal visa (difficult one). Using "visitor / tourist visa" puts so much pressure on you to regularize within a short period of time. For European (non UK ) visa that's like 30-90days to regularize your stay. USA and UK is 6 months. Another advice.. seek out countries with good potential to develop... And go early before the visa process gets tough. Years back Taiwan and Malaysian visa were very easy to get. Same day pick up. Now they won't issue a visa.. Even Philippines and Vietnam refuse to issue visa to Nigerians. It's getting tough to get out. |
solasoulmusic:Nice one, bro. Living abroad sort of opens your eye to see the problems of Nigeria: selfishness! We have community leaders and political leaders without vision.. Buffoons in charge. Community roads in every state are bad. Can't the LG or state govt mandate house owners to pave with interlocking blocks on the road in front on their houses. If I build a house and pave the road in front of my house, and my neighbors do the same, we'll have good road for every one. On FP this morning Amechi commissioning the dredging of Onitsha -Ajaokuta waterway, can't he make it a standard water way for traders to transport goods from Onitsha to the north? He could encourage the road transporters to invest in ships for the inland waterways... This would in turn creat jobs and development. |
AreaFada2:I thinK the point most folks here are making is that despite the hard life overseas, at least you get the opportunity to work or hustle legally or illegally and send money back home. Life is damn tough here ...but opportunities to make good money here in Nigeria is great. Too many areas of work needing skilled workers. |
bebe2:you see the problem -"5 other kids" why have 5 kids when you can't take care of them? |
Cogs:But he has a VP, ministers and perm secs. Those ones should carry on with the job of building the country. They don't need "baba" to be directing every act of governing Nigeria. |
bebe2:So glad you noticed this -poor and rich suffer alike. If only we could change our mentality and our way of life |

that is some myth ignoramuses still believe in this 21st century that killing a person to use their head or whatever would make it vomit money is just plain bullshite except maybe they illegal sell their victims organs to the black market which I doubt these people do because they're ignorant like that (not say it is good) but still it's bullshït
