Politics › Re: Muaz Magaji Celebrates Taliban’s Takeover In Afghanistan As ‘Win-Win’ by Powersurge: 4:19am On Aug 18, 2021
Couple of months ago, govt (Nigeria) was talking tough about prosecuting 100 terrorist financiers in Nigeria whose names have been compiled. But I knew that was a mirage in the desert.

When Boko Haram started, the Pew reported that only about 30% of people in northern Nigeria were against it. Do not be deceived, if it's happening to "them", it's justice and "HE" wills it. If it's happening to "us" is a crime.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Secret Deal Between U.s Government And Taliban by Powersurge:
It's a lengthy write up.

It's one thing to seize a country, it's another kettle of fish to manage it. Experience has shown that after the central system fails, chaos usually follows. I personally feel America has taken the right decision in withdrawing. You cannot fight for a people who are not ready to fight for themselves.

Notwithstanding, I am expecting schisms to begin to surface in that country in the next few years. Firstly, some Talibans would be sympathetic to terrorists, others would go against it. Power tussle will definitely ensue. Some will want moderate Islam to avoid sanctions. Others would want to go back to the 90s. Resistance would surface. Almost all Arab nations will show interest and want a piece of the country for their own use. The schisms among Arab nations and perhaps the ones in Islam (Shiasm and Sunnism) could come out again. Because Iran wants to be a dominant force in the Middle East and will want to have her influence there too. If Afghanistan refuses, she will use her proxy terror force (Hamas) to begin to cause trouble there. The journey is very very far for Afghanistan.

Read some books it wouldn't kill you. YOU DON'T NEED TO EXIST FOR LONG TIME BEFORE YOU DO MIGHTY THINGS AS A NATION. In fact, development is easier and faster for an infant nation than for old ones. This has been researched and statistically proven.

Your last line exposes the decay in your mind and the average leaders in Africa. They prefer to beg for aids rather than standing up and doing something. because they blv the "west will forever lead them" .

The first automobile was produced 140+ years ago. Over a century later, a country of 207m (NPC) people is celebrating ASSEMBLY plants.

If the black race is not caregul, she will become laboratory specimen in the future to come. This is not been derogatory. The earth is dying. The serious ones are looking for the possibility of inter-galactic species. And technology is advancing at a neck-breaking pace, yet we are faced with this 'mundanity'.

To those who doesn't know what is happening in the world, which is one of the tactics of the black leaders, to maintain an ignorant population, you might think this is progress. The continuous existence of humanity is premised solely on knowledge. Not the kind of knowledge that currently exists in Nigeria; where tailoring, frying puff puff etc. are the ultimate knowledge. Where engineering student would be a king if he could repair generators. Life has gone beyond procreation and physiological needs.

Please sir how did you start? am currently studying agric education, but I HV been wanting to go into data analysis since
Tho I have been told that I can't bcus I don't have any background in data related stuffs ,But your comment inspired me.
I need advice
I started with Python Programming. And I started with my phone (SoloLearn).

BUT i will advise you to start with Excel and try to have a laptop.

If you love reading, you can download Excel Bible. If not, you can search for Edureka tutorial on YouTube. Download the files they use in the tutorials (you will find them in the links under the videos). Follow along RELIGIOUSLY. note your aim is to know. "Not to carry name for head"

I have been gathering my lectures since about 3 years now. You can start now. Work for free.

Well you constructed your argument quite well sir, I do have opposing beliefs to some of them though. Currently, the Russian and Chinese governments are top of the list among nations willing to accept the Taliban rule in Afghanistan thus making them alies. Terrorist attacks may then be planned against the U.S, its interest and alies right from Afghanistan. You still don't know the extent that these terrorists, the Chinese and the Russian federation can go to oppose the West, do you??

Their hatred for the West is a common ground for all of them, the China and Russia may even decide to directly fund the Taliban and indirectly fund every other terrorist groups in order to stage a war against the U.S, like a war via proxy. Taliban's opposition to Iran is another ball game entirely though.
Lovely premise. Firstly, Russia does not have financial muscle to match US in terms of defense funding. At the height of USSR, they could only do this much. Let alone Russia. While Russia is a global power and pulls certain belligerent challenge, she cannot hurt US interest on a long term.

While the Chinese have relatively better technologies than Russia (I am not sure of this), America has more money to spend in finance long term war (either conventional or unconventional). The beauty of having a very high per capital GDP and strong economy is that you can finance non-economic affairs for a long time without having direct effect on the population. This is something The Chinese would struggle against on long run.

Talking about partnership. While I cannot downplay the partnership among the trio, Taliban knows that Russia is not her friend. Russia is as culpable as America. Because the former was the first to open war on them. Russia and China are forming alliance with Taliban to prevent the Talibans from influencing their countries' belligerent population. Both China and Russia have terrorist or potential terrorist groups. The worse thing is self implosion. which could happen to these countries should Taliban have unfetted access.

lol. I wrote it myself. I usually follow up war analysis and commentary. Middle East/Asia is of particular interest to me. There is one last war that would be fought. That war will either tumble USA as the sole superpower or set her as the undisputed champion.

Career › Re: Is Data Analytics A Promising Career Path? by Powersurge:
I can't tell you if you should choose this career path or not. But fhere things I can tell you about it.

I studied Agricultural Economics. And I am currently working as a data analyst. Unlike you, I came to the party late as I finished my schooling almost at 30.

When I was using my certificate to work, the highest offer I got was 70k. Now I am working with skills I thought myself and I am earnng more than twice that amount.

Data analysis is an infant field in Nigeria and there are opportunities globally. Notwithstanding, that doesn't mean there are no competitions. The major ingredient to landing a good DA job is experience. Hence, if you want to start, start now. Work for free if you must. Two years experience in the field will make sure you are not STRUGGLING to get an offer. 3-4 years will enable you to change jobs when you like (pls like everything, it's not a bed of roses).

Another ingredient for a successful career in this industry is intelligence. You need to have analytical mindset. DA is about problem solving. You need to learn how to ask the right questions and derive solutions. You can submit all the applications in the world in this field without a single response. Until your cover letter carries some works you have done and solutions you have brought to organisations. Hence, the place of HARD experience. You must love statistics and probability. While the ones you have learnt in school will take you 60% along (that's if you are not la cram la pour)), you must constantly learn trending mathematical concepts, DA methodologies etc)

In addition, skill set. If you have knack for knowledge, you will discover that the more you Know, the more you need to know. Over 60% of DA in Nigeria are actually Excel analyst. While in most industries Excel can do 100% of the work, you must keep working on your skill set.

Start with Excel. Learn it upto VBA level (though you will not need VBA 98% of the time). Pick Python Programming, SQL (MySQL or MSSQL), PowerBi or Tableaux. With these, you are good to go.

I am almost certain that with time, you wil pick interest in Machine learning, web developmen etc.

Where to start from? YouTube. It has 80% of the materials you will need. You can also try W3Schools, SoloLearn. For paid courses and certification (which I have not done), try Coursera. Note, what you need is skills not pali. Forget d yeye concepts of having pali.

I can take you Python for DA and all its libraries-not free not cheap.

PS: if you can't do presentation or talk before people, you may need to think twice before going into DA.

Oga your story is shortlived. First of Russia got her ass whooped in Afghanistan.

Second of all, USA, thoroughly dealt with Taliban, removed them from government, installed new govt etc. The next phase now is to teach Afghans to fight their own war. Which is what US would do eventually.

Thirdly, America though not invincible is a master tactician. Withdrawal from Afghanistan and subsequently allowing terrorists taking over the country would be strategic.

First, it will allow the oppressed China's Ughur region, to have direct access to a terror nation. And you know the problems in the Urghur region in China.

Secondly, Taliban can easily seize Tajikistan and Uzbekistan which are at the backyard of Russia. Bringing terrorism into China-Russia mix would be a great tool for global dominance. Sacrificing Afghanistan to achieve that aim wouldn't be a difficult decision.

Knowing that America has over 50 years experience dealing with terrorists, they have moved into the realm of using terrorists to achieve their aims. Rather than completely wiping them out. Don't forget that at the height of Iran-US crisis, there were insinuations that America wanted to activate ISIS who is arch enemy of Iran.

If the global GDP is $80tr and your country alone controls $22tr out of it, you can do a lot.

It will be very difficult for terrorists to overun the south if we remove govt interference. Because for one, they are easily identifiable compared to southern population. Secondly, the south is much smaller and less mountainous. Thirdly, we have more resources to fight a prolonged warfare than them, amongst others.

I currently work in one of the Third Generation Banks as a full staff. Currently I am on the second level in the sales department, salary is good, being considered for promotion which hasn't come in a while, based in Abuja with family and all.

Got an offer with a better 3rd generation bank. next level in a different department, higher pay but will have to relocate to Kaduna. Report directly to a Group Head, will have a dedicated car but greater responsibility.

The current place is like my comfort zone, I'm well known and I've been here for Seven years.

Please advice whether to move or not.
If you were single, I would have advised you to go for it. But now, your capacity to take risks has reduced.

Notwithstanding, giving the demographics of your proposed new location, are you convinced that you could drive sales like you are currently doing now?

If yes, shoot your shot.
