Politics › Re: Central Bank Digital Currency: Is ‘NIGCOIN’ Possible? by Powersurge: 1:03pm On Jun 02, 2021
When CBN governor said the apex bank would create her own crypto I laughed.

People just talk. For own crypto was created to byoass the bureaucracy associated with fiat. The central bank is known for impoverishing people through inflation, unnecessary account restrictions, and devaluation.

Secondly crytop mining is an energy intensive process. Bitcoin alone consumes 120Twh per year. That is more power than Sweden or Argentina consumes in a year. Country wey dey battle 2000kw dey talk nonsense.

TRUTHISLIFEE:
So I met this girl around my area and I kind of liked her. When I approached her, she was playing hard to get. After a long while, she told me that the only condition for her to date me is if I will not interfere in her relationship as she has been engaged, and that I will let her go peacefully anytime she gets married.

It was a difficult one for me but I gave her my word not to interfere in her relationship and to let her go. Even my elder brother warned me not to spoil that relationship.

We started making out and I kept my word of not interfering in her relationship. Most times we are together and the guy calls, I tell her to pick his call, if their conversation is getting longer, I will simply excuse myself from the scene to allow her talk with her guy freely.

There was a time an old acquaintance of hers showed up and asked her out, She lied to me unknowing to her I was tracing her to the guy's house. When they entered, I called her on phone to enjoy herself that I know where she is. I also let her know that I pity her man as I have nothing to loose in this whole thing/

Fast forward to today, she came to my house and asked me my plans for her, I told her I don't understand as she is engaged. She told me to forget the engagement that I should not use it as an excuse. I told her I will keep to my word and she left angrily. since she got home she has been calling me to agree to marry her.

Make UNA see me see wahala.
Lolz she won carry you handicap 2.

You are contradicting yourself. He doesn't hold a political position in the north and he is not contesting for political position in the north .You people killed him because your hate for north. And you will pay for that.
I Don't really care about your threat. I know for one, you don't have significant stance to influence anything. Besides anything that can hasten the division of this country is welcome. If it comes in form of violence against other tribes in the north, the better.

Secondly, I am not from the East. But that have to say dt shows how skewed the country is.

Finally, I heard of Gulak the first time when d news broke. Hence, he is not significant to influence regional polity let alone national.

The Igbos, unlike the Fulanis and some few Hausas are not barbaric. You can be sure that an Igbo man will not kill you because of your religion or tribe. But if you press them, they will respond.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Leave My Bank Job For A Multinational Technology Consulting Company? by Powersurge: 9:14am On May 31, 2021
Markswag101:
Good Day,

I recently did an interview with a multinational technology consulting company with an opening senegal, i'm expecting to hear back from them this week with the full offer details. i've been having lots of thoughts on the matter, if the offer is very good and i accept it, i'm worried about how i can adapt to the country, how is the lifestyle and culture there, is there a community of nigerians there and if it would be worth it to leave my current job in a tier 1 bank and explore this opportunity.
i would appreciate any thoughts and advises here please.
That's initial feeling. That's why it's very important for organization to carry out proper integration for new intakes. I am leaving my job to resume in an IT role on Monday and 'I dey feel somehow.' But it just a feeling. It will pass.

I for one don't see bank job as job. Except for the 10% that are full staff. Even with that, once there are sacked, they become very useless. The only benefit is the suite, which some dey buy on credit. Because skills picked up within the banking sector are not very useful outside it. And it's almost impossible for an ex banker with considerable experience to get an offer in the banking sector. Because part of the reasons for retrenchment is your pay is getting too large for them to handle. Hence GTs would be opted for.

Notwithstanding, go to travel section and read up about Senegal. Contact people from that section that are in Senegal. You will get enough info from there. From what I have read, Senegal and Ivory Coast are better organized societies than Nigeria. Though I heard cost of living in one of them is high because na expatriate full there.

Personally, I will suggest you pick the job. But you also need to go for language training. At least conversational speech (French).

So much bitterness.
All of you spewing this bitterness here,
HAVE YOU SEEN WAR?
Let me explain briefly, in war you have no family, no children, no hen, no friends, uncle's will die, brothers decapitated, they will be scattered, vultures will hover to eat their limbs, pigs will have a filled day while you scramble for no food. Your wives daughters and aunties mother's sisters will be raped and killed no drugs to heal their pains. Your money will be rendered useless, inheritance valueless, banks helpless. You will have no cars no house, mouse your delight, no light no sight all that will be on your mind is plight. Your hard earned investment will be Lost a country of ghost, with stench and diesease as your host .
And whenever the madness is over, with no winner, no vanquished, you will come back to be taxed and ruled bye the same leadership that caused the war, and you will still be crying, this gorvernment, this government.
#Uchehaveyouseenwar
Op keep quiet. Have you? As a kid, I hv witnessed two ethnic groups fought for 3 years. with cadava floating on water like fish.

That does not mean that I will now say war is all bad. War could be beautiful. because beautiful things usually come from the rumbles.

What happened in Nigeria was a disproportionate force. Do you think Nigerian military would be able to flex muscle if they are fighting foes with tanks and flight capabilities?

All I see in all this, is a prelude to faster Nigeria splintering.

And I for one, I will not pray against that for any reason at this point.

Sharia law in Yoruba land is long overdue,as we were originally Muslims before the Christians infiltrated us

1)I believe sharia would curb skull mining(which is a big problem in the south west),as whoever is caught is given short sleeve
2)zina(adultery) which is predominant in the region would be curtailed
3)and they shall controll the influx of alcohol and other haramic substances into our region

Say yes to sharia in Yoruba land
