Blitzenkreig66:Neither a son of man that should repent. ...Have he said it and will He not make it sure. Congratulations!!! I tapped into your ITA / Grant miracle period. |
adaifx:Kindly visit CPA or ICAA sites. They are the two bodies accountants on this forum have assessed with. You really don't need proof of fund if you can get enough points (75 points for now). This should get you 189 ITA in 2 months. For assessment, you will need to write IELTS (academic), PTE or TOEFL. You need minimum of 7 in LRSW for IELTS and minimum of 65 for PTE. |
Congratulations to @ omooloriiredade and @ Royal54. Thank God it all ended in praise. |
Horticulturist:Yes you can especially with CPA once your task is at the level of required competency |
@Dikachi12, Kindly contact @afolaseg. I got mine from him and it is the same as the one on Pearson site. |
Madam Tyosho, God bless you abundantly and preserve your home. You have done justice to this topic. Very insightful. We will all get there. |
stickaman04:If you are good in writing (like Kachikwu and Karu) go for IELTS ( General Module). If you are fluent and probably attended posh nursery school or grew up with people that don't speak pidgin/ other local dialect or you eat less of hydraulic soup (ewedu, okro, ogbolo etc) then go for PTE. On a more serious note with 7.5k you can test ur ability in PTE before going for it. Check this platform for @afolaseg |
^^^ I submitted both Uni & ICAN. The years of experience CPA stated as relevant for me preceded my ICAN qualification. If your work experience is at required level even before you bagged your ICAN, it will be recognized. So please submit both. They will most likely be assessed separately with little effect on your years of experience. I actually submitted 3 different qualifications. |
[quote author=zibe post=61171730]Please guys, I intend assessing with CPA next month after my English test. Apart from the B.Sc qualification point, can I claim additional points for my ICAN certificate? The guide in page zero states "An award or qualification recognised by the assessing authority in the assessment of the skilled occupation- 10 points". So I'm not sure if ICAN would fall under this. @ Zibe, ICAN will not give u additional points. Membership of ICAN is assessed as equivalent to Australian Bachelor's Degree which is 15 points (this is from my CPA Assessment Outcome). If you have PhD, then additional point is sure for you. I will advice you ace your English test (20 points). That way, its much easier. |
Congratulations to Majiouk2002, Doyen06, Teejah, Baenoz, Dissectur, Kamotisha, Nosula to mention but few. Like someone mentioned, this is a September to remember!!! |
Sir Belong, It is well with you and yours. You will come out of the "patch" stronger and better by God's grace. For you are more than conqueror. It will end in praise. Amen. |
Congratulations to @Ozymigrant, Teewhysafe and Phlunter. Thank God the thread is bubbling again with good news. |
catchdwind4rmkd:At Catchwind4rmKdandOz, Please assist with tips on how your score in speaking increased from 49 to =\> 79. I Seriously need the tips. Thanks in advance bro |
catchdwind4rmkd:Congratulations bro. May you flourish the more in the land with this grant Amen. The "rear" person that said good news are "rear" on this thread will not show face now to tap into great testimonies like this. |
majiouk2002:Chief Majiouk, I pmed you. Please I need the PTE Voucher urgently. Thanks. |
@masonkz, The assessing body (CPA in this instance) will assess if your qualification is comparable to Australian Bachelor's Degree. Hence, it will not lead to higher points. Please it is advisable you submit all your (relevant) qualifications for assessment. The point calculator is relevant in calculating your points and I think PHD if you have one will get you higher points. |
@FCCA2012, Bimpsy99 is very much correct. It is advisable you submit all you have. I submitted my B.Sc in a non relevant field, my ICAN and my MBA with CPA. My B.Sc was assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree My ASSSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP Qualification from ICAN was assessed as comparable to an Australian Bachelor Degree My MBA was assessed as comparable to Australian Masters Degree. I believe the above can provide a guide for you and others seeking clarification on professional qualification. Please note that my ICAN was from Foundation. Hence it covers all the competencies. |
FCCA2012:@ FCCA2012, Toslad has provided you all that is required. I personally have a bias for CPA because I have a smooth experience with them. They also keep to all that is on their website (97%). With less than AUD 500, you have both your qualification and employment assessed. They also accept Statutory declaration in case you are unable to get reference from your employer. The only downside with CPA is that you can only have a single valid assessment at a time (unlike ICAA who probably gives multiple assessment). This to me is not really an issue once you've made up your mind on the occupation you are settling for. With your ACCA, you do not need B.Sc. Your ACCA covers all the required competencies (subjects). You however did not provide your employment details (roles and functions) to enable us share experiences. |
This PTE something is not funny again ooo. Why will an organized company be allowing its staff to be perpetrating acts that can damage the brand's reputation? Abeg our brothers and sisters on the other side of the red sea (AUS) How can you be of help to us in making vouchers available? Hoping to hear from you soon. |
@ prolivingproof, Thank you so much. |
^^^^^^ Mamajaz, please can we have Ikenna's contact details? It will also be great if we all can have the real cost (in Nigeria not the one on Pearson's site) of PTE- A Some of us were stuck with R because we thought there was no alternative. Gracia. |
Congrats Iceberg54. What a wait! Thank God it ends in praise. Dat means madam's leg is fantamaglorious. Ese Iyawo dara. |
Congratulations to @ Zoew on your ITA. Congrats @ Lalaazo on your grant. May you flourish and prosper in the land of your sojourn. Amin |
wisemen045:Thank you my brother. I'll never be discouraged. It's not an option. Was just thinking aloud and laughing @ myself. I trust God will perfect that which He started for us all. |
Hmmmn. That feeling you get when you ran away from being assessed as accountant because of ceiling but ceiling came out and accountant quota nearly doubles. It is well. Please who knows how people get 105 points? I sincerely and urgently need to change my bathing soap to the kind of soap these high pointers use. |
@TEECANN, When did you sit for your ICAN papers? I.e. from when to when? Did you start from ATS or Professional? I might be able to assist if the period matches with the ones I have. Alternatively, the Librarian at Ebute Metta can help you out. Just send someone with a laptop and "that thing that naija public officials like most before performing their functions". Cheers. |
@wisemen045, Internal Auditor and External Auditor are in the same unit group (2211). Hence, you will most likely get a positive outcome giving your qualifications. All you need do is to word your reference appropriately. What is assessed by CPA is that you have appropriate level of competency requires of an External Auditor not necessarily that you are presently an External Auditor. What are these competencies? They include things like audit, escalating control issues for management attention, financial investigation, ensuring compliance with regulatory enactments and so on. All these I believe you do as a control person. Like I said earlier, please read up CPA and CAA sites for their peculiarities. There demands are far less than Vetasses. They are also cheaper. Given your profile, you are a big man so cost should not be an issue. I learnt they pay bankers hired assasin's salaries. Per adventure you need further clarification after reading the sites, 'am sure toslad will be glad to assist concerning ICAA while I will oblige your request on CPA. Good morning. |
wisemen045:@ Wisemen 045, If I may ask, why are you assessing with Vetasses? If you have the requisite qualifications, I advise you assess as an external auditor with either ICAA or CPA. Both Internal Audit and External Audit are in the same unit group. Advantages include cost savings and quick response time. You may read up their sites for more information for their uniqueness. CPA accepts statutory declaration for employment and you can do it yourself. Just write your job details, reason you were unable to get reference from your employer and tell a notory public to certify it. |
lawland:@ Lawland, What of OAU (University of Ife)? To answer your question, I have read that some accountants have been assessed positively (ICA). I am aware that accounting/accountancy is a 4 year course. Like Alphador mentioned earlier, it depends on the assessing body. |
@ Bellong, May the good Lord grant your brother quick recovery Amen. Wishing you good success in your exams. It is well and all will end well. |
Congratulations to @mctowel01, @ Bnimz1, @yoctek, @ hordunayodt on your grants. Congratulations to @kempguy47, vinsmuft, incemay, jamson, bolaobby on your successful relocation. Many thanks to resource persons extending helping hands on this forum. God bless you all for your selfless service. |
Michaelamo:Mine was delivered the next working day after the 13 days wait I.e. The 16th day after I took the exam. |
