My mum is nt from the town. I believe in civilization/ modernism. I would have believed it's a mere superstition, if people had not die from this same thing(haven't seen any though, because I didn't grow up at my hometown).

There is this babe. I really love her so much. Ever since my childhood my mum has been telling us stories about her town and other neighbouring Edo towns. Not out of Hypocricy but because of young 'baby' xtians who would definitely miscontrue the verses. So they are left for adult xtians to discover it themselves. Lets go there...(1) God has favourites- yes many people believe God loves us equally. You are somewhat right but also very wrong.There are some people that have special Grace with God, that no matter how deep rooted they are in sin God would himself "force" them to change and be born again. Lets see acts 9:1-18- saul was a persecutor. I mean the leader of those days "boko haram". He was one of the people dat killed STEPHEN, the bible recorded dat saul went to people's house drove out xtians and kill dem publicly. Why didnt God killed saul like he did to pharoah in Exodus? Or is there any difference in there sins? NO, because Paul was one of GOds favourite. Do you know Samuel's children were as disobedient as Eli's? Why didn't God reject samuel like he did to Eli? Peter denied Jesus 3 times but Ananias and wife only told a lie and died. Have you ever told a lie in God's presence and nothin happens to you. Then you must be his favourite. Does dis mean God his "partial"? NO, NO, NO, the truth, at one point in time we were once Gods favpourite- do you know out of many God chose king Saul who was later rejected? Do you know dat God warned pharoah 10 times why he only did once to Paul? The truth is becoming God's favourite rests on ur willingness to obey him. We can become God's favourite by two ways - by grace which means unmerited favour as in jacob's case and by love for God as in David's nd Paul's case. Which ever way you can be God's favourite! Do you constantly reject, reject d word of God? Then I doubt ur "favouritability"........2. The second is a mystery- God created evil according to psalm 45 vs 7 but does no evil! Dont use ur human knowledge to analyse it otherwise you become an enemy to God. By the grace of God, I will try to xplain to d undastanding of all. This is called the mystery of Devil. I've heard many people say "shebi na God create devil" just lyk many american musicians they believe God treated d devil rudely but NO, God cannot be evil. Ok.. Hear dis God needed a devil but didn't create d devil. How, God cannot be evil but somebody has to be evil so that his powers would be made known and his purpose manifested. So God created a very glorious, beautiful, wisest creation and God created d lucifer so mightily that there was no visible difference between him and God. Did God tempt the devil with evil? NO, He also created JeSUS alongside the lucifer, with the same qualities. So one has to be jesus and the other devil. Dats why they had the power of choice . So, God allowed them to rule heaven as they want but God knew "power corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Jesus and lucifer later to be known as the devil were created the same day, one out of the two would choose to be devil. So God leave d two and made them high like himself. Then at last after a long time lucifer was corrupted by power, he tried to overthrown God then to his surprise God came out and revealed everything to him that "a creature can never be greater dan d creator". After lucifer finally had fallen, his name was changed to belzeebub,hades,etc some powers were taken from him and given to jesus to fit his new posotion of sonship. Today we might have been praying in the name of lucifer instead of in the name of Jesus but he chose to be d devii. Who is to be blamed? Just as you have d choice of choosing ur eternal destination-HEAVEN or HELL.if you eventually end up in hell just lyk lucifer chose to be d devil.Will you blame God for creating hell or blame urself for choosing to go to hell instead of heaven?. God does not only expect you to be holy alone, He wants you to hate Ungodliness. Lets look at Jesus' lifesyle, when he went to the temple he saw people trading. As a holy man he should have just entered pray and go back but NO, not for a man like Jesus dat hates sin with passion. Do you watch errotic Nollywood movies, Do you follow secular musicians on social media? Do you buy secular musics dat are filled with dirty lyrics lyk "all i need is ur waist." Do u still watch BLUE FILMS and say its not sin? Brethren, you must not only be holy you must also hate ungoodliness nd Indiscipline. Lets criticise "Dirty scenes" on nollywood. Lets stop calling unclothedness fair names like "bikini body","sexy" etc. To enjoy undelayed answers to ur prayers i advice you to hate SIN in all its shade or ramification. 7.P- persevere, brethren dont pray once and say God does not care. You might never know dis about God which is "If ur problems draw you to God in prayer, he will delay ur answers UNTIL PRAYING BECOMES SOMETHING YOU CAN NO LONGER DO WITHOUT. JUST LIKE ADDICTIONS". Persevere! hold unto God. Just like Jacob who said "i will never let go unless am blessed" Start to "pressurize" God in ur prayers. He is not wicked, he will eventually do it for you!
