safepaulooo:

What about the persons who took blood in that situation and still died? Blood transfusion does not guarantee life...very experienced doctors know this fact and many of them apply blood expanders treatment therapy rather than infuse fresh blood. The idea of blood expanders is using saline solution to increase the volume of blood the patient has rather than infuse fresh blood with its attendant risk and side effects. Modern medicine is gradually resorting to bloodless therapies and it has been largely successful. Jehovah's witnesses subscribe to this modern therapy rather than disobey the scriptural injunction in Acts 15 : 29 that clearly says 'ABSTAIN FROM BLOOD'. Educate yourself further by consulting their website jw.org
That's true. Help me enlighten some of us here more.

Ignorance is a major problem in this part of the world and that's why we aren't progressing medically and scientifically. For your information, medical doctors globally have come to realize that the best medical practice is Non-blood medical treatment. Infact, they are thanking Jehovah's Witnesses for opening their eyes to that. Any doctor who is up-to-date with current trends in the medical field will testify to that. The problem is that most Nigerian doctors prefer to be stagnant in their knowledge rather than catch up with current advances in their field. The doctor (not a Jehovah's Witness) who delivered my child here in Owerri told me he practices bloodless medicine (I told him I don't accept blood transfusion when I met him for the first time). He said it is only backward, primitive, and archaic doctors who still practice blood transfusion. Sadly, only few doctors in Nigeria practice bloodless medicine. The rest hmmmm.... I don't know. Of course, there are medical alternatives to blood transfusion such as Blood Volume Expanders... etc. Let me stop here....OUR DOCTORS SHOULD PLEASE BE UP-TO-DATE WITH CURRENT TRENDS IN THEIR FIELDS LIKEWISE OTHER PROFESSIONS!

The painful part is being called for interview, passing the interview but denied the job at Flour Mills, Cadbury, Nestle, etc. I'm a nutritionist staying in Owerri. Would love to work at Fmc, Owerri, but no connections. Or in any other institutions where I can practice my profession. Email chizobaiobioha@gmail.com

*clears throat*. Nairalanders, there's something we all MUST understand. It's the bitter truth we all must face. According to Bible prophecy, World conditions (Nigeria inclusive) will continue to advance from bad to worse. It's a sign of the nearness of the end of wicked human rulership where man has continually dominated man to his injury. Jehovah's word never fails. Now is the time to reflect on what we're doing with our lives so that we won't be destroyed along with Satan, his demons and these evil human governments. To learn more about what you MUST do to have God's favour, please, kindly visit the website www.jw.org. Or better still listen to Jehovah's Witnesses when next they call at your door. Feel free too to ask them questions perplexing you.

Richy4:
That will be kinda complicated especially when traveling overseas with your kids with different surnames....They might start asking some silly questions..

To avoid complications, it is always wise to give your kids whatever surname you are bearing..
.
Someone told me same thing. But the birth certificate does bear the names of the parents, so in my opinion there shouldn't be any complications at all.

Investment / Mmm (monkey Money Madness) by Prettychiz4real(f): 9:27pm On Dec 16, 2016
MMM people!
The Monkey Money Madness! (MMM)
Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced that he would buy monkeys for N100 each. The villagers seeing that there were so many monkeys around, went out to the forest and started catching them.
The man bought thousands at N100 and as supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their efforts. He further announced that he would now buy at N200. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again. Soon the supply diminished and people started going back to their farms. The offer rate increased to N250 but the supply of monkeys became so little that it took much effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch one.
The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at N500! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on his behalf.
In the absence of the man, his assistant told the villagers: ''Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that my OGA has bought from you, I will sell them to you at N350 and when my OGA returns from the city, you can sell it to him at N500''.
The villagers squeezed out all their HARD EARNED savings and bought all the monkeys. The most greedy ones among them even sold their lands to purchase many MONKEYS, hoping to make a huge profit without labor.
Then...
They never saw the man or his assistant. Only monkeys everywhere!
Welcome to MMM. The world of Monkeys!
Be wise. *Copied*

[quote author=dunkem21 post=48525322] Super Lion/Lioness, humour that is relevant to the question being answered is okay but not the one Op is talking of. I know Akionu well, he's playful and expects his students to do same. You know he's the one marking your script and his style of marking it and so you give it to him that way. I had lecturers like that too, while for others you hit the nail at the head and dare not even do any cancellations in your script let alone add a humour to it. In the case of Op, he doesn't know the examiner and the marking scheme to be used and so shouldn't have done what he did. I always tell my students to go straight to the point when answering questions, if they tell you mention/list five items, stick to that. Don't do oversabi. Stop scribbling things like "Help me God", "I cover this paper/examiner in the blood of Jesus", "I love my teacher etc" on their scripts. It's not gonna earn you marks but your ability to answer to the point will and may earn you extra more marks.

Aki-onu's name reverberates the whole institution and endear students to him. .. Aki-onu means "kissing".

For example, If your answer in his question of Characteristics of a man is 'REASON AND REFLECTION' and you add 'ako na uche'

Add humour to your writing, it's a secret I reveal to none.

Education / Should A Student Be Flogged For Not Buying A Hymn Book? by Prettychiz4real(f): 9:10pm On Oct 23, 2013
I've observed with dismay that teachers still flog or punish students due to non- possession of hymn books. It is true that most schools demand that students buy and sing from the hymn book, some students due to their religious backgrounds, have decided not to buy hymn books. I know that there is religious freedom in Nigeria, and so students should not be punished for not possessing hymn books.

This is where nutrition education comes in. We, Nutritionists keep telling people that your diet can make or mar your health. Like this kinda post. Noodles are made from refined Durum wheat whose germ and bran containing B-vitamins has been removed. The best thing is to supplement the noodles with protein sources and vegetables when cooking it and stop adding that monosodium glutamate in that little satchet.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Share Your 2013 NIMC Interview ,Training and Work Experience Here! by Prettychiz4real(f): 11:09am On Apr 24, 2013
Congrats to those who got a sms from NIMC. Hmmm..... Frankly, I don't trust these network providers especially MTN to deliver the sms to the recipients considering what MTN did to me. MTN withheld a sms my friend sent to me since 26th March, 2013. I knew about this when my friend called me on 21st April, 2013, and complained that I've refused to reply her message. I told her I didn't receive any sms from her. We later met and she showed me the sent sms in her phone. MTN delivered the message and charged her for it, without delivering it to me . I was dazed. That means job interview sms could also be withheld. I have this nagging feeling that Mtn and co will withold most of the success sms from NIMC. I wished NIMC chose other ways to alert successful candidates!
