Alcatraz001: Nigga shut the Bleep up! When I say ibo christian and yoruba christian I know what am talking about. We are all Children of christ but you cannot deny the fact that there are ethnic faultlines in this country and trying to pretend as if it doesn't exist is just delusionary.
What am saying is that the body of christ is under attack in this country and christians need to be sensitive about the happening around us.The christians in this country are too disunited to present a common front to defend our faith and way of life.I know the fact is said I loathe the ibos irked a lot of ibos but they cannot deny the fact that what I have said is the fact.
You might think I am an alarmist but I know there is danger lurking especially for the SW christians hence the call for unity and cooperation from our brothers accross the Niger as the potential conflict will definately affect the ibos due to their massive investments in the SW.

Iceathome: My brother, may Heavenly God bless you 1000000million fold for saying d truth as its in SW xtians. Thanks alot.
[uote author=Bobby4090 post=27486805]
All these decline in christian influence in SW has been made possible because yoruba christian leaders have compromised. Lets check the details, in the middle belt and SE the majority of the christians are orthodox eg catholic, or Assemblies or methodist, ECWA etc. In the SW its full of pentecostal pastors who are more concerned with growing their local Assembly and generating wealth for their denomination rather than encouraging the flocks to partake in the societal issues. The Pastors would rather have their flocks withdraw into the local assembly and invest in it rather than becoming general problem for the society as a whole.
How come a place like SW and Lagos that has Adeboye, Oyedepo, Wole Oke, Paul Adefarasin,TB Joshua, Bakare, etc who as house holdd names in other African nations and known world wide be perpetually dominated and sidelined by muslim minority brothers? It couldnt have happened if the majority of the Xtians in the SW were catholics and orthodox rather than pentecostal because the catholic Bishops will speak out even inside their church. They have nothing to lose. But these pentecostal pastors that have dominated the SW wouldnt mind if Tinubu and Fashola perpetually schemes out xtians so long as their local denomination keeps growing material wise. No wonder the pentecostal pastors and churches based in the SW keep growing and getting more powerful yet their influence in the running of state keeps going down. The SW pentecostal pastors who do not encourage members to get involved in larger issues of the society have sold out. Iam a pentecostal myself and am happy being a pentecostal but at the same time iam sad that xtianity influence in the SW has been rubbished and non of the great pastors are even asking questions talk less of being bothered. okay sir... so they should start bearing arms or something?? |

Susanifarms: Dear prince claiming these puppies are pedigree, without uploading photos of what really shows there pedigree nature(parents) doesn't make sense.Even though you say the female isn't stable you as the owner and also a photographer as you claim can take your time and get an opportunity when she's calm and take a photo. You might say "that's why I said interested persons should come and inspect the dogs themself" but you should also consider clients who either aren't in the same location with you or prefer not stressing themself blindly.

I've been with both animals and I can confidently tell you that a cat us way more neater than a dog. To your third question, yes... cats answer to their name if you train them from a tender age to do so. To the OP's question, if you've got the time, I would advise you to go for a dog, but if time isn't a friend of yours, then get a cat. you've been with both animals?? damn, b1tches and puss1es... |

Goke7: I agree with you and that's why am scared about the future of our football, we think we have done the right thing by sacking keshi but am afraid we may be regretting some years later, keshi qualified Togo for the world cup, but what has Togo achieved since then? you are very right concerning the quality of players we have right now cos this must be least talented generation of Nigerian players we've ever had, this is the reason despite getting to the second round of the world cup, none of them made any big move to a club in Europe. Its not a coaching problem, we lack the materials, even the likes of uche and martins people are shouting about are average players in average clubs. rightly said... I play competitive football too, often times it's sheer zeal and dedication that makes a team! I was ashamed after Sudan vs Nigeria, our national team couldn't string passes together (the coach can only say his own) but when it comes to execution?? sacking Keshi is one step forward ten backwards... |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Is Not A Serious Football Country - Keshi by princebergz(m): 6:21pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
see haters everywhere! Keshi tried, worked his mathematics and with a bit of good old luck won the nations cup albeit hardwork by the players too... And right now things ain't working out well for the team *shrugs* but Keshi is not totally "yarning dust" tho, for one, our league is still in a sorry state (administratively, et al) + mediocre coaching and training facilities. secondly, look at the vegetable farms we call pitches! (please don't mention artificial pitches its a nightmare playing on them) another thing is the shameless board of clowning animals called NFF, the havoc they wreck can't be overstated! That ill-advised Pinnick has started toeing the path of destruction too! lastly, look at our entire squad *spits* just two or three above average johnies in the team! people are always quick to chastise Mikel, what can that lazy bench warmer do? The "Senior " players can't step up their game as we've seen over and over again (some are actually talented, we watched Ahmed Musa's performances against Argentina and Sudan, Osaze against Bosnia, Mba and Emenike at the Nations cup, we saw glimpses of Mikel against Sudan). Plus we needed some discipline in and Keshi brought sanity to that team... enough said gan sef...

Sports › Re: Amodu: I Almost Turned Down Eagles Job by princebergz(m): 4:12pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
solbase10: Super Eagles’ interim coach Amodu Shuaibu has revealed that he almost turned down the job but had to accept after he was convinced by NFF boss Pinnick Amaju to tinker the team in the remaining two AFCON qualifiers. He spoke with RICHARD JIDEAKA
Was it a difficult task for you accepting to handle Super Eagles last two AFCON qualifying matches as caretaker coach?
First and foremost, my reaction to the news of my coming back to handle the national team was a kind of surprise to me. Surprise in the sense that I have been disconnected from football coaching at the national team level for the past four years and hearing that the NFF wanted me as interim coach was a big surprise.
So, I was the last person I expected to be called for this job. The first thing that came to my mind was to say outright no. The reason why I thought about saying outright no was to make serious efforts to see how we can avert the removal of my colleague, (Stephen Keshi) from this job because he has only two games remaining in the qualifiers.
What is your view on the removal of Keshi from the national team with just two games to go?
My reason for this is that I believe it was not all over for the team. And that if we were patient enough for him to probably finish this job, we could still qualify and at that level, we would have been able to appraise him (Keshi) properly. But it looks like superior reasoning overtook my sentiment. But the decision was taken after I made serious efforts to see if the situation would be salvaged. Unfortunately, it was deeper from what I can see from outside.
Do you see the assignment as a difficult one?
I wanted to have a mental picture of what the job is all about before accepting to handle the remaining two matches of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers. I made my condition very clear to the NFF that if I were to accept the job for the remaining two matches; we must appreciate where we are coming from. And as a professional, I thought I was going to be close to the technical department where I was assigned to man for over a year now though without the necessary instrument of office to perform in the first place anyway.
How are you going to prosecute the two matches?
The NFF President Amaju Pinnick assured me of total support and I know he is a man of honour. So, I let him go out with the announcement. As I speak to you now, I am not going to dwell on controversies. My plan is to meet with my technical team to see how we can fashion out plans that will be suitable to prosecute these two matches.
Will Nigeria qualify for the Nations Cup?
At the end of the day what is important to me, my crew and all Nigerians is to see how we can salvage the situation and get the required results that will see us qualify.
Will you work with Keshi’s template in the area of players’ selection?
We have just met with the NFF technical department and they made our job easy by providing a list of 60 players to select from. I will sit with my technical crew and see those who are in good form for invitation. There is no way we can overhaul the Super Eagles within one month. Keshi’s team is made up of some of the best players the country can boast off so we’ll give them a chance to prove themselves.
Are we likely to see the return of Ike Uche in the team?
To be frank with you, I will give Ike Uche a call this night to commend him for scoring 100 goals in La Liga. He is doing well and if he remains in such good form, he surely will be recalled.
What is your term of contract as the interim coach?
To tell you the truth, I have not discussed the terms of the assignment with the FA. I believe that the NFF chieftains will give us what we deserve. Money is not the issue here but patriotism.

Sports › Re: Jay Jay Listed In 100 Best Players In EPL History. by princebergz(m): 4:10pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
ThierryJay: U and many others misunderstand the intent of the list. It's not about who is the better player but who has had greater impact/influence while playing in the EPL. it's for this reason that CR7 who didn't score up to 100 epl goals in 6 seasons is in 6th position. his Madrid exploits don't count.
Players who have won trophies at the highest level, received international recognition, played for many EPL seasons will be deemed greater than those who performed brighter for only one or two seasons. This is why Giggs is no 1 and why Nicky butt is ranked higher than JayJay okocha.
For the records, I think Thierry Henry has produced the greatest scintillating and consistent world class performances ever seen in the premier league and as such should be the greatest EPL player. However I understand the rationale for honouring Giggs for his longevity and impressive trophy haul.
In my opinion, Alan shearer should be no 2 after Henry. Beckham should be higher up cos he was nominated twice for FIFA world player of the year (99 & 2001) and came second. Michael Essien should definitely be in there as there was no better bombarding EPL powerhouse during chelsea's conquering season 04-07. Same could be said for Damien duff whom I think had more impact than scott parker. Give hazard one more top flight season performance, and he'll be in. Kanu can't be there as Wiltord isn't even there.
On the whole, fair list. God bless you |
