Yes, that is really the goal, and everybody is welcomed on board. For those who think that Maths is too difficult, I am happy to let you know that you should perish the thought. Nothing is far from the truth. It is Our goal is to show and prove to you that Maths is not as difficult as people imagine.
The purpose is to demystify Maths, hence we are going to start from the basics. To those who are moderately OK, you may continue to check things up in a while until you are able to fit in. That is, once in a while, pay the thread a visit. To the gurus in the house, you are welcome to contribute. I am not claiming to have superior knowledge. Where I am wrong, don’t hesitate to point out my errors.

Where do we start from? From the basics: Numbers and Numeration. We will take a look at what form numbers can be. We will talk about Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics etc.

Please the gurus, try and contribute your quota. After we have done a particular topic, we will take sample questions from JAMB, WAEC and other relevant external exams. We will also take a look, once in a while to great questions in Cowbell Maths. So this thread will be good for those who will be sitting for those exams. Once again, you are all welcome

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture in this interview with select journalists in Lagos spoke on efforts being made by the Muhammadu Buhari administration to revamp the economy, Mainagate scandal and the recent threats by Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) to resume bombing of oil installations. What is your perspective on this Mainagate scandal. Don’t you think it is a major dent on this government especially on the anti-corruption war?

The fact that Mr. President, immediately the issue came to his knowledge ask for Maina’s disengagement is the most important thing. That to me is a clear signal that we do not condone corruption. There is no better way to handle the issue than this.

What is the federal government doing to revamp the economy and ensure the ordinary man on the streets feel the impact of our exiting recession?

As you are very much aware, this administration’s contract with Nigerians sits on a tripod: the fight against corruption, tackling insecurity and reviving the economy. Even our worst critics acknowledge the progress we have made in fighting corruption and tackling insecurity. But one area in which they have consistently criticised us is the economy. Right from the inception of this administration, we chose the path of seeking a lasting solution to the economic crisis plaguing the nation instead of engaging in a quick fix that may attract accolades but will not endure. We chose to be painstaking instead of engaging in palliatives. I am happy to inform you today that we are winning! As you are very much aware, this administration’s contract with Nigerians sits on a tripod: the fight against corruption, tackling insecurity and reviving the economy. This administration will not relent in its determined effort to usher in a new dawn for Nigeria. We are winning the battle to revive the economy. We are fighting corruption like never before. We are tackling insecurity with a renewed vigour. While the naysayers, who are obviously in the minority, persist in their pastime of acting as a distraction, discerning and well-meaning Nigerians will continue to appreciate and encourage the good work of our administration.

You are the face of APC and the mouthpiece of the federal government. How do you feel when you say something and issue statements and people keep saying ‘It is a lie?

I have two burdens. The first is that I happen to be the face of the opposition and PDP has not forgiven me and they will never forgive me. I think they look at the magnitude of what has happened to them and they hold me solely responsible; which is not fair. But, I did my bit. Now becoming the face of government again, so it is automatic that whatever comes from Lai Mohammed, we must shoot it down as fake news and a lie. Unfortunately, my father gave me the name Lai also. So, it makes it very easy for them. But what I challenge them every time is please, give me one thing I said that is not true. Emotionally, you may not agree with me but in terms of facts and figures, I have never said anything which they can dispute. You don’t have to like it but you can’t deny that they are facts.

The younger brother of the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the Nigerian Army to release the corpse of the secessionist group leader if they have killed him.

The younger Kanu had an interview today where he said that since the September 14th "invasion" of his brother's home by military officers, no one knows the whereabouts of his brother, Nnamdi as well as their parents.

He called on the international community to help in calling on the Federal government to release his brother dead or alive.

“It is either they, that is the soldiers, captured him or killed him when they attacked our house. If they captured him, they should release him to the police, and if they have killed him, they should produce the corpse because he was last seen moments before the raid,” he said.

A Nigerian Man has taken to Micro-blogging site, Twitter to cry out after he received a credit alert of over 7 million naira in his Diamond Bank Account.

The user, @raynergy, said the transfer was made by a company, though he didn’t disclose the actual company, but it’s been 24 hours, and he hasn’t been contacted by the bank or the company to return the money.

He wrote:

Dear @DiamondBankNG exactly at this time yesterday 7,310,000.00, seven million three hundred and ten thousand was transferred to my account.


The transfer was made by a company. It’s exactly 24 hours & I have not been contacted. The money is not mine and I want it out of my account
