Where did you school? It is quite absurd seeing that you can't differentiate between HAS and HAVE. HAS is a present tense, singular- it is the opposite of HAD. HAVE on the other hand is the past tense of both HAS and HAD.


NB: there are exceptions to the rule of concord though, as illustrated in the example you gave.
